    I broke mine and had to get a new unit. Nozzles wear out. I don’t know why Elegoo makes this so hard. They need a quick exchange nozzle without having to take it apart. I guess they want to sell a lot of extruders. Poor design. This and the 4 Plus were rushed to market. Firmware is horrible. They should have used regular Klipper instead of their version.

      Agreed, I like the bed size, but my Bambu Lab A1 is my new workhorse. More reliable.

      I definitely agree, I’m replacing my nozzle for the second time and I use some pliers on the silver casing thing and broke it a little, seems rather dangerous to be that close to a 210*c piece of metal too

    Be very careful with the ceramic heater. I broke mine. I'm very surprised by how fragile this part is. Don't even touch it. Make sure the metal retaining ring stays on the brass heat block and doesn't come off with the silicone sleeve. If it does things will smoke when you turn it on.

    I had to send my 4 max back because of my heated bed was failing. I had to get the regular 4. I wish mine worked. 😢

    When will replacement nozzles be made available?
    I don't know if it's me (I'm new to Klipper) or the printer but I've had an issue on both my Neptune 4 Plus (same hotend as the Max) and the basic where my Z-Offset got reset and the nozzle buried itself into the bed during a print. This destroyed the nozzle and damaged the magnetic sheet. The regular nozzles are fairly easy to source (as are the magnetic sheets) but the Plus/Max nozzles are not.
    My Plus is now out of operation until I manage to get a new nozzle.

      Elegoo Klipper is an awful rushed excuse for a firmware, theres many known issues that have been present since launch, and still continue to be. Swap over to official Klipper if you want, its nicer waters over here.

    You forgot a very important thing I guess, the layout on my Neptune 4 Max is a bit different, theres a sensor cable mounted on the nozzle head. One has to be sure that this cable doesn't get out and is placed behind the heating shield when mounting together again. Otherwise it is going to smoke and stink inside your building. 😏

    • @rsd865
      @rsd865 10 місяців тому

    Hey elegoo how do you remove filament that jamed and set around the nozzle and you can't take the printer head off easily

      I actually am having this issue for the second time now. I had to heat up the nozzle (even though it says not to) to melt the filament and pull everything out. Printer then worked fine for a while! Just about to fix this again though, and am thinking this is an issue possibly caused by having too high a print temp?

    • @AdamMclardy

      Be careful doing it. But it’s usually caused by a adhesion failure

    For some reason, my Elegoo Neptune 3 pro melts the filliment much too fast even after I set the extruder to 200 degrees. And when I do a simple print, it won't even stay on the base. It just twirls up and gets stuck on the extruder nozzle. My dad suggests it might have something to do with the software that needs to be updated or fixed, but I've only had this printer for a month or two. Any tips or ideas, 😮anyone?

    • @Muffnsausn
      @Muffnsausn 10 місяців тому +1

      Same here with the Neptune 4 Max, I am going to change the nozzle now as everytime after 1 minute printing I have a huge Clodge sitting inside my print head. I don't get it out with melting or sthg else. Let's see how this works out 🤞🏻

    • @Muffnsausn
      @Muffnsausn 10 місяців тому +1

      The nozzle change was one half of my solution, now it's the best printer I've seen in a long time. Within the last 2 Days I figured out why my nozzle was full of Filament the whole time ... ⚠with the new Firmware the nozzle temperature was set to 170°C instead of 200°C as before! ⚠ Even if you heat up the bed and nozzle and want to load a filament afterwards, it goes down to 170°C, which is min. 30°C too low! 🚨 That's exactly what ruined my nozzle. Now everything works best and we printed 40x40 parts already with flawless first layers 👌

      @Natedog-gx3nj This is exactly what's happening to me...I've had mine for about a week. The filament ends up looking like a fruit roll-up! I'm so frustrated!

    This is a great printer but this video isn't the best. The nozzle needs to be heated up to more than 210. I broke two ceramic elements before I got this right. The elegoo discord is very helpful.
