Just tried the Bleu Noir EDT today for the first time. Instantly fell in love with it. It had lots of similarities with Terre D'Hermes in the first hours, then settled a little more creamy and nice to the skin. I already loved Terre D'Hermes, but this is so so nice. Great find to be honest, and seems very appropriate as a signature scent too!
I literally could hear you talk fragrances for hours. My favorite (slept on) Designer is Polo Red Extreme. Bloodorange and Coffee yummy. A nice winter scent with decent performance.
You are one of the the best spoken reviewers out there. Some of the fragrances you talk about have never been mentioned by other reviewers, which is fresh. Youre gonna reach the top very soon. Trick is coming up with innovative content.
I just get excited and wait in anticipation for the next french word you pronounce. 😂 You switch back and forth so effortlessly and I like how you explain certain fragrances that have "old school traditional style" and so forth. It really helps me understand how certain houses have very particular styles and you make it easy to digest in your videos! One of my very favorite fragrance channels! And you look lovely in that dress. Very well put together and informational. That's enough compliments for now. 👌
hi, just want to thank you for making me love scents again, love your taste for scents and your way of describing them and getting them alive with your descriptions.
Very true. There are two major designer brands in your list -Chanel and Guerlain, that can hardly go unnoticed. Both Allure and L'Instant, are such amazing juices -still in my rotation, that behave differently in warmer or cooler weather because they are not linear at all. A bit of floral/woodsy aspects make Allure unique enough to lend a thing or two to the other Chanels -Bleu and Allure sport eau extréme. I was lucky enough to snatch a bottle of vintage L'Instant, months ago. LIDG is borderline gourmand but along the lines of the original Dior homme without iris. Thumbs way up, Josephine... in sync with your picks here! And kudos on the Narciso Rodriguez and Prada.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. You got an original bottle?! Oh my, you’re lucky! As always thanks for watching and your support 😊 Have a wonderful day!
@@jusderose ... I wish to believe I was in luck striking that deal, since edt LIDG is an all-time favorite, but believe me, the juice inside your current bottle isn't reformulated. I also purchased (along with L'Homme Ideal cologne) a recent Guerlain Vetiver -same story, yet in a less fancier packaging. So no need for hunting high and low these vintages, in my opinion. My constant support ♡... con mucho cariño!
You look so beautiful in that blouse and those earrings!!🤍✨🌺 Thank you so much for this wonderful list! Being in surch for a parfume present for my father in law, and I think Bottega Veneta Illusions, is the right one.
Great! Most of the perfume you mentioned are not reviewed by the frag community. Nice to see someone talk about it. Please keep it the same way. Love You!
To be honest, right after I've watched your video about layering I rushed to my local Sephora to smell Guerlain L’Instant (and some others ). I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume. The scent is so unique but in a good way. And, can we talk about the dry down? It's so cozy, elegant, and delicious but as you said it is not overly sweet. The only perfumes, with cacao and chocolate note, that I knew was Mugler Angel Muse and Hugo Boss Private Accord for Her, but they are a big fat no for me. So, I would expect that I'll like perfume with a cacao note. I think I know what I want for Christmas ;) Great content! Really love your video
Nicely done! Blue Noir is a FANTASTIC fragrance...unique, versatile, easy to wear. Totally agree with your assessment of Chanel - Allure Homme...so underappreciated. Toy Boy is great as well as Prada Black...Mugler Cologne is a classic. Great list!
Thanks to you, I purchased Prada Luna Black and Chanel Allure Homme! Two outstanding smelling fragrances. Please more videos like that for good smelling fragrances on a budget.

I totally agree about Allure Homme. I smelled it for very first time on my father when I was teenager in 2004 and I didn't like it, but now I am more mature and I love it
Chanel Allure homme is one of the best and most alluring scents of all time. I'ts only and huge problem is it's super low performance. This is an expensive skin scent. I bought a big bottle few months ago (2018 batch) and performance is terrible. I still like it tho.

I really like blue noir. Bought the edp in error, not as nice as the EDT. Allure homme has been watered down. Have you ever smelled the earlier version? Very potent sillage. Powerful vanilla tonka with lemons at the top.
Well I’m so impressed you can even follow men’s fragrances. Just when I start to think that now, after 4 months of obsessively collecting, I am starting to know about some female fragrances, I think- wow I know nothing about men’s frags if they are not unisex. As far as underrated though, in my collection, I have Oud Meleki by Chopard which is really nice. It’s a BIT masculine for me but I am just going to wear it anyway in Fall. But guess what arrived from Italy today??!! It’s Ambre from L’Occitane! It is SO WONDERFUL!! I am so glad I sprang for it because it is discontinued. I bought because Moody Boo loves it and well, I do too! I believe I love it as much as my Ambre Précieux which I love to drench myself in
Thanks so much Sibyl for sharing! I really love mens fragrances. The designer selection is so much better vs women's I find... which is why most of the fragrances in my collection that I wear tend to be unisex. Thanks for bringing up the two fragrances you mention, I look forward to trying the Chopard one. Have a great day!
I have both the original Chanel Allure Homme EDT and L'Instant de Guerlain Pour Homme. I love them, and I agree with you that they are classy/traditional in the best possible way. I hope the folks at Chanel and Guerlain will never reformulate them.
Without question one of your finest video takes, period. Bravo on Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir as so little has been said about this little gold masculine nugget. Musky yet fresh and will work anywhere, anytime. Chanel Allure Homme edt has been totally forgotten but, for being over 20 years old, this is the timeless King by which all other modern classic all season fragrances are measured by. Very few match it in overall quality and what it exudes, sophisticated masculinity. I think three that should be worth considering are Guerlain Homme L’Eau Boisee, Azzaro Chrome Pure and a true sleeper as well I think is Prada Amber Pour Homme Extreme. Just a delicious all season gem. The Boisee is just a classic masterpiece and the Chrome Pure a super versatile freshie that is superb and hardly ever spoken of. Again, Bravo Milady, Bravo....

Narciso Rodriguez bleu noir is one of honest and gentle fragrances I've had. Companies have different policies, some of them invest on indirect advertising more than usual but some prefer classic marketing. Also some governments invest on advertising for their political goals that most of them are against truth and humanity. A part of this money and propaganda has affected and permeated in fragrance industry and fragrance social media. Some of brands lean to these governments for earning huge fund and capital. Therefore a large amount of money has flew in a small part of fragrance world. As a result some fragrances are bold in market and others are underrated despite their deserve.
You're one of the very few who actually can describe how the fragrances smell, not just reading the notes from perfume websites... I own two of the mentioned and your description is so spot on... Subscribed! ❤️
Hi Josephine Boss Bottled Intense is a spicy sweet fragrances and it is very affordable, in my opinion a verry nice scent. I given away or sold most of my design fragrances (I'm now more into niche fragrances), I only kept the best and Boss Boss Bottled Intense is a keeper. Greetings from germany
Jus de Rose, I think you are fantastic. Don't hate me and please don't think I am a philistine. What fragrance would you suggest is like the old school "Krizia Uomo"?
Have you tried the rest of the Mugler Cologne series? Take Me Out and Blow It Up sound quite fresh and great. Also have you tried Aesop? They don't seem to get much reviews here on UA-cam.
I have tried the orange bottle I forget what it’s called, it smelled nice and fresh but still have a special attraction to Mugler Cologne original. I have tried Aesop fragrances, definitely interesting, herbal and cool
Hello. First visit to your channel. Have subscribed. Agree with so many of your list. I have used Dunhill Century since launch. My summer scent. Also a fan of Guerlain L'Instant. Check out the now deleted Guerlain L'Ideal Cologne . Outstanding. Replacement 'Cool nowhere near as good. So Thank you. You have reminded me of memories of Chanel Allure too. [Try the Blanche edition too.]
Hi Juseline, warm regards !! I've heard lately and after your sharp advice days ago , that Hermes Eau de Citron Noir doesn't last long. By the way, a few years a go heard the same thing about Allure from Chanel, is that true ?? Other than that I have never gotten Bottega Veneta, how you find the Illusione for him on the longevity range ? Be fine and always grateful on your great analysis. Pura vida ! Lazaro Broitman
Thanks for your comment Lazaro. Eau de Citron noir lasts a long time on my skin - it latches onto it! Allure is longlasting but the projection is moderate - soft, it stays closer to the skin. As for illusione for him longevity is average

I think Toy Boy has a fun and quirky bottle that will not go unnoticed. But, in an attempt to balance things out, LIDG and Bleu Noir are also on my list. Question: would you suggest any of these as a blind buy?
What do you know about Chanel Allure lol. The fact you would consider Allure Homme over Bdc tells me you are on to something or know a thing or two. I totally understand your viewpoint as Allure Homme got me into frags as a sales associate at Nordstrom. It is the staple or benchmark per se of what quality perfumery is. The fact you brought up Allure Homme says a lot because the expected frag most mentioned when going in that direction would be Allure Home Sport or Edition Blanch (both are ok). Both fall short of the "quality" of the scent as C.A.H.
@@jusderose I think I got this mixed up with the EDT Extreme which many in Fragrantica said it smelled like BDC/shower gel. But I found the actual EDT review now and yeah it's totally different! Thanks 😊

As a result some fragrances are bold in market and others are underrated despite their deserve.
how is the performance?
Great video once again
Thank you!
You're one of the very few who actually can describe how the fragrances smell, not just reading the notes from perfume websites... I own two of the mentioned and your description is so spot on... Subscribed! ❤️
Any thoughts on the EDP version of L’Instant de GPH?
Hi Josephine
Boss Bottled Intense is a spicy sweet fragrances and it is very affordable, in my opinion a verry nice scent.
I given away or sold most of my design fragrances (I'm now more into niche fragrances), I only kept the best and Boss Boss Bottled Intense is a keeper.
Greetings from germany
Oh yes that’s a wonderful perfume. I love it too!
Jus de Rose, I think you are fantastic. Don't hate me and please don't think I am a philistine. What fragrance would you suggest is like the old school "Krizia Uomo"?
Thanks 😊 I haven’t heard about this fragrance before so can’t make any suggestions... sorry!
What about the sillage. Are the any good and how about longevity
Thank you so much, appreciate the support 😊
L'Instant is 10/10!!
@@jusderose THANK YOU ! My Hermes is on its way, already ordered after our last chat. Will try to decant the Allure and Bottega anytime. Pura Vida !! All the best
Wish you review middle eastern fragrance houses too!
Would love to! Any ones in particular you’d like to see?
@@jusderose Abdul Samad Al Qureshi, Ajmal, Rasasi, Lataffa..these are major houses that are eating away the established Western houses in Asia due to their price value proposition!
Finally... Chanel allure homme the original is getting some love!!!! I have a 150ml bottle of it I got back in 2018 winter and I get la nuit de lhomme kinda vibes from it !
Unbelievable unforgettable scent :)
Absolutely!
Good afternoon Josephine. Do you know Bleu Noir edp? If so, which of the two bleu noir is better in your opinion?
Hi Diogo, yes I do! Go for the EDT, it's better formulated and lasts longer too!
@@jusderose Tank you.
Nice presentation , well done go ahead on thiis way
Thank you!
I need to try the Hermes Eau noir!.
Linstant de guerlain sounds great, clasic, and long lasting! 😀
I think Toy Boy has a fun and quirky bottle that will not go unnoticed. But, in an attempt to balance things out, LIDG and Bleu Noir are also on my list. Question: would you suggest any of these as a blind buy?
I would say Allure Homme EDT is pretty safe as well as Bleu Noir and Illusione for him
Really good choices 👌👍
Thanks! Have a great weekend.
I just subscribe cuz, j’ai adoré votre français accent, très jolie!
L'Instant and LIDGE were two of the most talked about fragrances in the 2010-2016 period.
To me, the better version of declaration is S.T Dupont pour home. Timeless masterpiece.
Oh you forgot the legendary underrated GPH2! It’s gone it’s rare and it’s pricey now , still hunting for it until end of time
Bottega veneta ilusione and chanel allure are amazing
You content n accent both are very attractive !
Keep up the good content and you will have just as many subscribers as Jeremy Frag. 👍🏻🏅
Thank you that’s so nice of you to say 😊
I've been eyeing NR Bleu Noir. Kinda have mixed reviews from youtubers. Is it too close to BDC or does it have some uniqueness to it?
Both fragrances can’t be compared - they smell entirely different. Bleu noir isn’t a “blue” fragrance
@@jusderose I think I got this mixed up with the EDT Extreme which many in Fragrantica said it smelled like BDC/shower gel. But I found the actual EDT review now and yeah it's totally different! Thanks 😊
So you recommend the original Allure homme over all the Sport(extreme and original), and Edition Blanche?
Absolutely. Over every other version. Period.
Purchasing this one. Whats the projection & longevity? 😊@@jusderose
