    32:18 what did you do?
Thank you very much for the realizations this talk brought to me. Until recently my dharmma path was the simple emptiness he spoke of. Then a temple date changed all of that. I was invulnerable, unwavering, unshakable in truth, logic and emptiness. Recently the Tara Puja's have expanded my path of dharmma, compassion in a more encompassing way.
What did you do? Uncertain. I made offerings in a way, I suppose. I had nothing real to offer from my emptiness. Perhaps it was the intent, the thought.
These unorthodox style teachings have a place in the modern era. New ways for the new times. Thank you.

Emilia Cole, hi, I feel the same too. I have joined Kechara since June last year and have been attending the weekly pujas here since then. At the beginning of every Puja, we are always reminded that the intention of us doing the pujas is to benefits all sentient beings starting from the people around us like our family and friends to all sentient beings in the six realms i.e animals, spirits etc. Kindly visit H.E Tsem Tulku Rinpoche’s blog www.tsemrinpoche.com/ for more dharma teaching and hope you enjoy it.

A true blessing is when one starts to contemplate more and applies whatever teaching that one's find truth in it and practice it. I hope you are much happier and have clearer mind after this teaching and hey, do you know that Rinpoche has a blog here www.tsemrinpoche.com

    5:08
5:18 this strikes deep. Very deep. Nothing can be perfect in samsara. Most just give in and do whatever. We are lucky to find people who truly believe, despite everything and hold on and strive on for the benefit of others.
    7:27 another crucial point...
Oh wow. One major bad quality for me is probably a weird mutated form of laziness. To the point that I don't even bother denying anything when I do something bad and just be like... Uhhh whatever...scold me...i suck. What makes it worse is that despite feeling genuinly bad about it, I literally couldn't care enough cos it felt like it was easier to take the punishment than try again/try to explain. Maybe it's lack of courage too? (who am I kidding its obvious)
And that hotpot of negative shit makes it even worse and worse and worse.
...and welcome to a happy * state of existence ....hahahaha... No.
Idk why I felt the need to confess that. Working on that though. Which is also why I'm going to be eternally grateful that I stumbled across the teachings. The way that rinpoche teaches is unique - it forces you to stop hiding behind conventional excuses with reasoning and face the basic issue. So unless you are totally delusional (or happily masochistic) you can't help but apply the instructions.
Aside from the classic Mahayana texts, Narada theras dhammapada (online one) is a great, and intrinsically priceless book. Aside from rinpoches teachings, I end up re reading that.

Learning and performing puja is an expression of our compassion. For pujas to be effective, the intention is very important. Unlike highly attained lamas, the ordinary people like us have to learn the pujas well from authentic source.
Pujas can be done for individual, institution, country, and for various purposes like safety, protection and attainment.
When we do puja for another person, not only the person’s obstacles are cleared, our own obstacles will be cleared too.

be in service!!! work to help others!!!! this is an expression of our compassion. "Unlike highly attained lamas, " - yes , because they were in service in past live and had not asked for money through Pujas. are you looking for easy life ?

Dear AmpsforBuddha - Rinpoche spoke extensively about his family, upbringing, background and his childhood in the UA-cam with the title 'His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche - HIS PROMISE, OUR HAPPINESS'. Copy this title and paste it in the UA-cam searchbox above to hear from Tsem Rinpoche himself.

To be able to help others, we ourselves have to accept Dharma and to practise Dharma all the way by eliminating our worst qualities.
Our insecurities and fears were the covers for our negative qualities. We must work hard to eliminate our negative qualities, only then we can be free.
For one’s advancement in dharma, especially for tantric practice to bear fruits and results, one must have strong guru devotion, uphold samaya with guru and hold one’s vows and commitments well.

is it possible to practice the Sanatana Dharma and at the same time the Buddhist Dharma ??? i got very used to sanskrit and the shaiva shakta form of puja , can i perform it in both traditions or should one focus on just one , my problem is this i gave a vow ( the Maha Mudra vow to become a Bodhisattva , it was too early but at that time i was hungry for initiations , later i found out that i am not able to fulfill my vow with my current state of mind but an Oath is an Oath and i take this very serious ) .
on the other hand a have a strong connection to the Sanatana Dharma , when i read my first Book about Babaji and the Himalayan Ashram i had to cry all the time , this is a clear sign . so i am a shivaite who has learned ha tha yoga to become a teacher ( that was my conclusion for what to do in this life to make a living and at the same time to benefit other beings with the most precious i have , in this case the Kundalini yoga as thought by the Shaiva Shakta tantric tradition ) but i have also my duties concerning the Buddhist dharma and my refugee my oath and so on ,
how can i handle this situation , would be very nice to get an advice because it bothers me a lot .
i also have a kashmiri shaiva shakta teacher / Guru ( a strong connection he could read my thoughts easily ) so i feel that i have to go ahead , on the other hand i have my Karmapa and my Lama ( Ole Nydahl ) , i feel like i have to split myself and practice both at the same time but this is neither possible nor would it be practical . what would HE Rinpoche ´s advice be on that question .
than you very much , i appreciate it very much to have the chance to ask such question here and on Rinpoche´s blog .
may all your good wishes come true ( if i can say it that way , it is a wish for you i don´t think that i have this might but i try , LOL )
Karmapa Chenno from karma jigme dorje my best wishes for all and may Karmapa bless Kechara ( if i would have such an opportunity like Kechara here in germany i would go straight to that center and do what ever i can and probably try to live there ) thank you

To say two systems of practices is not compatible may not do justice to both systems of practices. But for most lay people, one system of practice should be sufficient for us to be more spiritual and enlightened. Also if we have more than one type of practices does that mean both practices are incomplete, needs one to complement the other? Certainly not, IMHO.

By doing pujas, we will help the person requesting and also ourselves, we will collect great amount of merits for attainments and ultimately for us to attain enlightenment.
Having the skills to do pujas well, we can help to draw donation to our centre and help to sustain the centre. For most of us who do not have a lot of money, this is what we can do to help our centre.
