Since filming this video I had a chance to piece together the 500pc puzzle called 'Lighten Up!'. 🔥 First up I had a great time doing this puzzle - I loved the quirky and nostalgic image and the puzzle quality was top notch. So the website is indeed correct, their 500pc puzzles have much thicker pieces than the 1000pc puzzles - almost twice as thick! And the pieces hold together really well, so well that you can absolutely do a puzzle pick-up! 😁 The back was also a different colour, this time we had green. And there was also barely any puzzle dust. 🙌
Oh I actually just found this store in Canada that stocks some of their puzzles! They are definitely on the expensive side but might still be more reasonable than ordering from the US? 🤔 www.annexvintage.com/us/le-puzz-casse-tete-1000-pieces.html?id=82268269&quantity=1 There might even be other Canadian stockists too. 😀
I must confess I ordered two puzzles from Le Puzz after watching this thorough review! The random shapes and different cardboard-backing colors remind me of my favorite vintage Springbok puzzles from the ‘60s. Jubie, I much appreciate your unbiased presentation of facts on each brand. You know that puzzlers value different details when assessing brands. I actually prefer some glossier puzzle coatings (spot UV) due to the lovely tactile feel and color vibrancy. I can live with glare in exchange for these features. Thank you, Jubie!
So glad you enjoyed the video and found the review useful. 😊 Oh that's so cool that you ordered some! Although I hope I wasn't too much of a bad influence! 😅 Which designs did you end up getting? I hope you enjoy them. Not sure if you saw my pinned comment, but I tried the 500pc too and really enjoyed it - super chonky pieces! 😍
@@JigsawJubie Thanks! I ordered the Freaky Deaky puzzle (500 pieces) and the Sticker puzzle from your video. You also introduced me to One But Many puzzles, and I now own several of them. Looking forward to more content from you on UA-cam and Instagram in the future!
What a fun puzzle to do! I recently discovered that puzzling is my new hobby and since 'm from AUS as well, I've ended up watching almost all of your videos! Thank you for your amazing work new subscriber here :)
Thank you so much for subscribing! 😀💖 Glad you've been enjoying my videos too! 😊 Always nice to meet another Aussie puzzler. There's not too many of us compared to puzzlers from other countries. I really enjoyed this puzzle and this brand - so fun and quirky. I really hope they get stocked somewhere in Australia soon so more of us can get a hold of them. 🙂 Since you're new to puzzling, have you had a chance to try out many brands yet? Just wondering if there's a particular brand you've tried that you really like.
@@JigsawJubie I actually come from Poland and came to Australia with my Aussie husband😊 Trefl is definitely a brand I grew up with got several of them cause my mom is a big puzzler as well. Really like their quality and newest puzzles have so many cool design. Since I came to Aus I've tried Tilbury, nice colors but can't pick up any pieces together which is a big no for me. We also got some Mindbogglers from Vinnies not the best quality but still fun to do 😊 I'll be getting a package from Poland in a month with Ravensburger and Trefl puzzles, really excited to get them :D
Oh that's so cool that you come from Poland - I'd love to visit someday! 😀 Is Trefl quite an affordable brand in Poland? I feel like they are quite a reasonable price here - more expensive than the Kmart brands of course but still cheaper than Ravensburger and some others. And even though I tend to prefer the quality of some other brands over Trefl, I still think it's very good for the price especially. 😊 Also, that's awesome that your mum loves puzzles too! Unfortunately a lot of the Australian affordable brands don't seem to be that great in quality. I don't mind some of the Hinkler ones but I avoid a lot of the others from Kmart. I've only tried one Tilbury one (although I have some waiting for me in my to-do pile) and if I recall correctly they were very similar to Clementoni... if not the same? I'll have to do one sometime soon and remind myself! Oh that sounds super exciting! I hope you get lots of fun puzzles in the package! I'm not sure if you mentioned it, but I was wondering what part of Aus you're in? (You don't have to say if you don't want to. 🙂) Just thinking if you lived in Sydney there is going to be a puzzle swap event in October most likely.
@@JigsawJubie Trefl is a very affordable brand in Poland unlike Ravensburger. You can get their puzzle on something like "ebay" for not even 8 dollars😊. Tilbury has nice pictures but I just don't like their quality that much😅 I live in Newcastle so not that far from Sydney, and I would love to do some puzzle swapping💖
Oh wow! That is such a good price! $8 - I'm so jealous ha ha! 😭😂 Awesome - Newcastle and Sydney aren't too far. Are you enjoying living there? There are some beautiful beach and ocean views. 😊
Jeez!! They cost $60 and more here. I can only imagine how much it cost you with shipping and handling!! They have beautiful puzzles but I do not think I will ever be able to buy any from them unless they significantly lower their prices!!
I think they are definitely on the more high-end price range for sure. I really enjoyed my experience with the brand and am glad I tried them but yes, they are a splurge for sure! I think a lot of these smaller puzzle brands/companies probably have to end up charging more since they would have a much smaller run of puzzles compared to the big name puzzle brands out there who mass produce and in turn can get things for much lower prices.
I used to collect candles too!! This looks a fun company haha I can do puzzles but not fold up posters! Great video and one to def try like you say with random cut 🧩👍
I still love candles even now! But I usually choose them based on scent instead of just looking cool! 😆 This was definitely a fun puzzle! I enjoyed the irregular pieces although that border was tricky! 😅 But I think if you like doing Springbok puzzles you might like these. The 500pc is much thicker and probably more close to vintage Springbok actually. (I imagine - although never actually tried one!)
Hey Jubie! I love how the brand puts this puzzle package together. 🔥🧩👌 I love all of the whimsical elements, and what a great job they do making this a jam-packed puzzle experience! All of the extras are really attractive. The puzzle images are really cool, too! 😎 I enjoy a puzzle with lots of little things, either smushed together like this, or spread out a little more like in the tiny objects puzzle that you showed. I take a lot of pleasure in having a variety of puzzle images, and this is definitely one type that I like thrown into the mix. 💖 The price of the puzzle on its own is quite high. 💰🤑💸 Coupled with crazy shipping prices typical of a lot of US brands,🤪🚚📦🇺🇸😵💫 this is too much for me at the moment. Very infrequently will I buy puzzles with this kind of a cost. Currently, I am considering some high priced puzzles, but the coin is for puzzles that I would consider one of the highlights of my collection. 🌟 🤩 ⭐️ 🌠 💫 Thanks again, Jubie, for a great video! 🙏👍📹 I love all of the different puzzles you try. And I'm so interested and happy that you showcase a lot of different brands. It is enjoyable and helpful! 💟💗💌
I really love the whole packaging and contents too - makes for such a fun and even more interactive experience. I thought the activity on the back was such a fun addition - never seen that before! 😀 Their images are all so fun and quirky. Definitelty different to a lot of what's available out there that's for sure! Yes, they are quite pricey, especially factoring in shipping costs too. I'm not sure if you saw it but I responded to your other comment except UA-cam wasn't letting me tag you (how rude). Anyway, I found a shop in Canada that sells them (instore and online). Of course they are still higher priced puzzles but may be cheaper than trying to order from the US. It's possible there might be other stores in Canada too that stock them but that was just what I could find searching from here. 🙂 Thanks for watching as always! And glad you enjoyed it! 😊💖

Thanks for the thorough review! I really reeeally want to try this brand! I’ve got my eyes on "Teeny Tiny Things" and "Sweet Tooth" 😍
