I put a dab of high solids anti seize paste into the drop link hex. This is easily cleaned out next time but stops the hex socket corroding. A spray of anti-sieze as you do is great for keeping the threads cleaner for next time.

excellent .. plenty of nice copper grease .one assembly grease better is Bostic Nuclear .
