I am past 60 years old and my husband has always done all the repair work around our house. Now that I am alone, I must do it myself. THANK-YOU very much for your excellent, easy to follow video!
My leaky faucet is exactly the same as this one and had been leaking for well over a year. I decided to attempt to fix it. With the assistance of your wonderful and quite helpful video, I was able to get it fixed. Can't even imagine how much water and money I lost by allowing it to continue to drip. Thank you so very much for the thoughtful step by step video.
Yeah I rent and I tried to get the property managers to fix my faucet. There were many things going on with it and they wouldn't so I did it myself and I didn't even ask to be reimbursed for the parts. I pay them separately for utilities, so you think they'd be thankful that I was saving them some money, but, no.
I watched two videos on how to do this repair. Yours was the more useful. Thank you! A few additional tips: The replacement parts are available in the faucet & sink section of your local hardware store (not the toilet section). Cost is about $3-$5. You won't need a pipe wrench to remove the dome cap of Delta faucets... they're screwed on hand tight. To prevent future leaks you may want to also replace the "cam assembly", which goes over the ball (visible at the 7:00 min mark in video). Cost is another $3-$5. Finally, you'll want to run water through the faucet for a min or two when you're done, because the water will be discolored with repair residue.
This^ and I think you can just loosen the screw, not remove it, to remove the handle. My Channellock wrench on largest setting will work to loosen the dome cap if it is too tight. Pipe wrenches are a bit costly.
thanks !!!! I was wondering about the cam assembly. shouldn't you just buy a new ball too ? everything looks corroded. Shouldn't the whole thing be cleaned out with CLR or something ?
Straight and to the point without wasting any time at all. Thank you! Every DIY out there spends so much time introducing and wasting freaking time - its maddening. You rock!
You're a lifesaver! I've had an annoying leaky faucet for two months now. I went to the hardware store and bought the spring kit, took 10 minutes from start to finish and viola: a non-leaking faucet! Just subscribed! Thanks a bunch!
When some people do how to videos, they go so fast...But you went nice & slow & very detailed... Thank you for being patient and very detailed👍💖that helped me to clearly understand how to do it...& Now I feel that I can now do it myself...thanks again👍💖😊
Our faucet is now repaired. I may like to add, put something over the sink drain before beginning to fix this faucet. Very helpful video. Thank you very much.
thank you so much for helping this 50 something single women with no diy skills do this project. Your step by step instructions where simple and easy to understand. I was able to fix my leaky kitchen faucet in a matter of minutes saving me from paying someone to come in and do this and charge me a fortune or getting a whole new faucet.
I've had this exact Delta faucet leaking for a while now but it recently got so much worse. I serendipitously found your video, watched it a couple times, went to Lowe's to pick up a couple washer and springs and OMG...I was able to replace it for a now leak-less faucet. It was amazing to see how degraded the leaking rubber washers were....No wonder it was dripping nonstop! Thank you so much for saving me money both in plumber fees AND water costs.
This was very helpful. I have the exact same faucet. We were losing gallons of water per day. I was able to stop the leak using this helpful video (easy to follow) until our new faucet can be installed in another week. Thanks
We’ve had a leaky faucet seems like forever (at least 5 years). My husband not a handyman in any form. So since it’s been a constant drip lately, I decided to check out UA-cam. Thank you so much…. Other than getting the water turned off, they’ve been on for years, the rest was relatively simple…can’t say it was done in 5 minutes since i cleaned off everything before reassembling. Thank you so much!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Excellent, easy to understand. For the price of $2.47, I fixed my faucet and saved a $75 min. plumbing service call!!
My husband and I were able to fix our leaking kitchen faucet! We are not handy by any stretch of the imagination. Thank you so much for the clear and concise instructions!!!
Thank you so much! I have almost zero plumbing experience, and after watching this video, I fixed my girlfriend's delta sink faucet in a little more than 5 minutes! So easy! Getting the right part at Lowe's was the toughest part!
I watch this two years ago when I had to replace it and completely forgot how to do it so I just watched it again to relearn how to replace and fix the leaky faucet thumbs up
Amazing I am 72 n live in a Senior apt, n have been without kitchen water for 2.months waiting for our maintenance man with excuses. So I fixed it myself. Tk u so much.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it worked perfectly. I would say though if you have an older home you may have to turn your water off at the street as well. I found out the hard way
When working on old faucets, you might have problems removing screws. Spray the screws with Blast-It(a chemical that would loosen up the screws) and let it soak for 15 or more minutes then try again. When re-assemble the faucet, put some anti-seize around the threats of the screws to prevent them from seizing again in the future. Also, make sure that you plug up the sink hole, or . . . you might find yourself using plenty of 4-letter words because you drop the screws down there!
Thank you, my daughter and I had no problem repairing my sink, following your easy step by step instructions you made it very easy for us thanks again.
Because your video was SO HELPFUL I had to come back to you tube and say "Thank You Very Much"...Whenever I need to make a repair or figure out what the problem is...(home repair, auto repair...etc..) this is my favorite place "YOU TUBE".....Now this do it yourself woman is going to fix a leaky delta kitchen faucet..... someone has to do it...RIGHT? ;)
Watched your video with a delta faucet similar to mine. Very well done step by step demonstration! Ran over to Home Depot and got the parts. Forgot the position of the spring so watched that section again. Excellent video! Thanks!
Best instructions on youtube ... no more leak.. All I added was some plumbers grease to the ball and washers... Only thing is, my old eyes ... I tried to push the washers and springs straight down.. the slots are angeled a bit.. but got it done in less than 20 minutes..
I asked a plumber friend how to fix this. he talked me through it and it was exactly like this video minus the visuals. visuals are super important for a layman like me. this video was perfect. thank you.
Thank you for showing it so nicely!! I just had mine fixed. It was as easy as you have shown but took a lot of time shutting off the cold water as the knob was missing! Great video and very helpful, Thanks once again!

Excellent Demonstration. My Sink Faucet. Not leaking, but it's been many years never changed. I need a Shower Washer for the inside of my Delta Faucet, along with Washer to cover the Shower Streamer. We need Slow-Motion on our phones to get everything when actually doing this job. "Not A Plumber," but it sure looks very understanding.
excellent guide. didn't need the pipe wrench and it worked out perfectly following these exact instructions! I had a little trouble getting the washers in because it didn't fit in the flathead screwdriver but you made it look so easy.

I've been waiting for over a week for a guy who's supposed to fix my dripping faucets. He keeps saying he'll be here & never shows up. Now I'm gonna fix them myself! Thanks for the tutorial.
Instructions on the video were clear and concise. It appears that the instructions can be applied to numerous types of faucets. My kitchen faucet is a generic type with a long neck and an annoying drip. I hope that a universal repair kit will provide the solution. Thanks for the tips.
I have the same Delta faucet. Your video is easy to understand. I really appreciate the pace of your teaching. I have no knowledge of tools or of fixing much. I am going to try this and will let you know how it goes. Some of your video footage was blurry. I still think it is a great video.
These directions were very accurate and it really is as easy as he describes it to be. It took me a little longer because I had to get creative with the pipe wrench part (long and sad story). Anyway, the only part not described was putting the ball back in, there is a pin that must align with my model. I made it a little too difficult like always haha. Thanks again, my sink is drip free.
Thank you!!!!!! Never would have been able to do this without your great video!!! Nine hours, three trips to HD and one trip to Lowe's and it's done. :)
A very nice review to assist me with the identical repair. Still, got stuck trying to remove the set screw due to age, gunk and probably rust in the hole. Applied a spray lubricant, got a real allen wrench, not to the flimsy one in the kit, waited an hour and then inserted the allen wrench and turned it with vice-grip. worked carefully, not to strip out the head of the set screw. Once removed, the rest was per the vid. Thanks again.
Think YOU very much player for showing me what i NEVER known, at first i thought it was something very simple😏my bad, right now my kitchen sink has been fuck up for days!! Instead of waiting for the building super now i can just DO IT MYSELF✌🏼
Thanks for the helpful video. Very easy to follow along. The only thing I did differently was to replace all the rubber washers. It was cheap and I figured it wouldn't hurt and may even save me from another future repair.
Thank you! This was the second video listed for my search. It just happened to be the exact Delta kitchen sink faucet with the same problem we needed to fix. Excellent instructions and guidelines.
This video was perfect. I'll be getting the parts to fix our sink this weekend. Our kitchen one looks exactly like the one in your video. This should be a breeze!
Thank you. I just watched your video and fixed it in 5 min. My silver ball had to go in a certain way to sit down in there correctly. The only thing that you didnt mention, but only stumped me for a min.
Thank you very much for posting this! Parts of it are a little hard to see but I get the gist of it. I have the very same faucet and it started leaking days ago. I admit I know nothing about fixing these kinda things. This gives me confidence to tackle it on my own. Just need to pick up a pipe wrench.
Love your accent! Love the clarity of the video. Very simple, easy to follow instructions! Thank you. I subscribed. I do believe we'll soon have a non leaking faucet!
Thanks a lot! the wife and I just moved into our first house and the kitchen faucet gets annoying dripping at night. watched your video and fixed it right away

Thank you. I am a smarter man because of you.

Thank you very much for posting this! Parts of it are a little hard to see but I get the gist of it. I have the very same faucet and it started leaking days ago. I admit I know nothing about fixing these kinda things. This gives me confidence to tackle it on my own. Just need to pick up a pipe wrench.
