Delta Replacement Seats and Springs: amzn.to/3j1jsvH
If you’ve got a leaky kitchen faucet that needs to be fixed, keep watching. Follow along with me and learn how to fix your own in just a few minutes. This repair is for faucets with only one handle and it’s really very easy to do! The tools needed are Allen wrenches, large adjustable wrench and some needle nose pliers.
Before we start, turn off both water valves under the sink and cover up the sink to prevent small parts from accidently dropping into the drain. plastic ring. With the handle removed, we can see the rubber seals that need to be replaced. When you're done verything goes back in reverse order. Be careful not to squeeze the rubber seals too hard with your pliers. Because I laid everything out on the table, it was easy for me to put all the parts back together.
Once the faucet has been reassembled, turn on the water valves underneath the sink. Check to see that the faucet is running correctly. There may be some sputtering from the faucet after you start the water. Now when I turn off the faucet, the drip is gone! If you found this video helpful, please give me a thumbs up and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel for more product reviews and how to videos.

Thank you ! This was so easy. I'm a 61 year old widow, shut in during a pandemic. I didn't want to have to call a plumber and pay $100+ for a $5-$10 job. I know my Master Plumber Grandfather would have been horrified if I had done that. great instructions! No more drip. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for posting this. I was just about to call a plumber but decided to look on UA-cam for advice.
Great step by step. Really easy repair. Hardest part was finding the right parts at the Sears Hardware store. Saved me at least $200.

The first observation I made was your level of order! One cannot-not ever go wrong once tools and essential pieces to the faucet are in place. After all, is said and done, a function test is required! I like this very much! Great video and presentation! Semper Fi

Thank you for the clear, no nonsense tutorial. I was successful with stopping the leak. My only comment would be for future DIY's, please check online for your replacement part. I paid $40+ for the part, Amazon had a generic brand for half that price. I would have bought online and then followed these excellent instructions.
Again, thank you for taking the time to make the video and share your experience.

Thanks for the video. The repair took only about 10 minutes. We have a 10 year old Delta faucet. I called them and they sent me the parts kit for free. If you have Delta faucets, they warranty them for life. I was never asked about proof of purchase or if I was the original owner. All the best!

Thanks for this. It took three times as long to go out and find the part as it did to fix! My faucet was a Kohler, which used a cartridge vs. the small gaskets and springs, but the basic idea was exactly the same and the repair itself was a breeze. The most challenging part was using the allen wrench to get the initial screw out.

Super clear and easy to follow. If your little rubber seals are leaking from age & use, its usually a good idea to change out the ball cam assembly at the same time (the “another plastic ring” at 1:20, which comes with a matching black rubber seal underneath that prevents leaks around the base of the handle). By the time the smaller seals are leaking, the cam’s seal usually is worn and ragged, too. For the same reason, I unscrewed the aerator from the end of the faucet and rinsed out the black rubber bits that had accumulated there.

Awesome. Seals need replacing. I thought I could just adjust it better but time to make a home depot run!

I have no idea how we survived without UA-cam. Thanks for taking the time to make your addition to the fixers Guide to the universe

I think about how we got along without UA-cam all the time! I'm just happy that I can help all the DIYers out there! Plus these videos are often a reference for myself in the future in case I ever have to do the repair again!
