My wife and I got married in august 2018, and we used this medley to play over the intercom system in the church when we were walking out after having given our I do's. Because of that, this one will always be special to me. Especially because my wife can occationally be emotional, not overly, but she's easier to tears than me atleast. But on our wedding day she was so impressive, she really was pretty calm and collected (as much as you can expect on a wedding day) and this also was a trend leading up to the wedding, it was slightly outside of what I had expected, but really impressive. But the day before the wedding, we had to do a sound check with this song in the church, and when I put it on, and you could hear this beautiful medley play throughout the entire church, let's just say it did not take my wife many seconds to break out of her calm and starte weeping, because it was truely beautiful. Thank you for making our special day even more special lindsey!
The Lord of the Rings...There is seriously nothing that can describe how much it means to me! I'm only 13, but still...That triology is my life. I stopped counting how often I've watched those movies, and anyways how often I've cried! I still cry, because I know that somewhere out there, middle earth exists, even if I can't just leave and live there... J.R.R Tolkien is a legend. He gave so many people on this earth, a beautiful childhood/teenhood, with his books! And also Peter Jackson, with his movies made from the books, are also just incredible. So sad, that so many people "forgot" about it, or don't even know it! Middle earth will always be in our hearts. Sad, that the journey is over... Edit: Heyho, me here, couple years later. I'm 17 now and my view still has not changed at all. The Lord of The Rings is still a triology (books or movies) that is stuck with me. It'll stick with me forever and it's helped me through a LOT throughout these couple years! Thank you for all your lovely replies, I'm glad to know youngsters like me aren't alone with this and that there's people who support our love for this. And you're right, as long as our emotion and passion for it isn't over, the journey isn't over either. About 2 years back I had the pleasure of visiting Oxford for a day, and to say it was absolutely stunning to know that I was standing in front of the very building that J.R.R. Tolkien studied at. I've bought myself a second copy of all the books. Was a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.

@@PlaidCladBrad the person in this comment wrote the original lyrics that were sung in the soundtrack (the breaking of the fellowship). I think Lindsey slightly changed the lyrics. Her lyrics are in the video’s description if you need them:)
I got tears in my eyes. The violin reminds me of my grandpa that did build violins. He died in cancer when i was 11. Lindsey is awesome and i adore people that can play the violin. I have tried and i sound awful. :P I have thought for years to get a tattoo on the arm or shoulder blade in the shape of a violin, but I do not know if I dare. Should I do it? If 50 people says that I should do It, I will! :)
I say go for it. Its something to honor the memory of a close family member you loved as well as something that you really do love. Even if you arent that good at it yet, keep practicing.
I didn't think this was that great ... but I've been spoiled by watching so many Julliard violinists, etc. Immense respect, nonetheless. I'm sure she will get better with time.
Beautiful music; beautiful gift, beautiful soul - thanks for sharing your beauty with the world, Lindsey! May the Lord continue to inspire you and play through your soul!
LOL, I hadn't intended to make a pun but I'm enjoying it and laughing as well. Just for clarification (if needed) perhaps I should have said "may God continue..." but if the Lord of the Rings inspires too, that's all good as well!!! :)
@@kattastadir-sydri "How is that impressive" - It's impressive because she's an incredibly talented musician, and she's actually _using_ her talent. And not only is she playing the music, but she arranged it, and she writes many of her own songs. Just think about it for a minute... For every one violinist who becomes famous, how many do you think there are who simply give up? A thousand? Ten thousand? More?
You probably hear this all the time, but hearing you inspired me to teach myself the violin. When I get to the level of playing folk tunes for my friends around a campfire, then I will be successful.
Tabitha Reichl You have to check out her song Firefly. It's not available on iTunes because it's a reward for people who pre-order her album (Brave Enough). I think her music can still be pre-ordered after it's released, but if not, it is available on UA-cam too.

@@PlaidCladBrad the person in this comment wrote the original lyrics that were sung in the soundtrack (the breaking of the fellowship). I think Lindsey slightly changed the lyrics. Her lyrics are in the video’s description if you need them:)

for Rohan😍
It's my favourite part of LotR
I got tears in my eyes. The violin reminds me of my grandpa that did build violins. He died in cancer when i was 11. Lindsey is awesome and i adore people that can play the violin. I have tried and i sound awful. :P I have thought for years to get a tattoo on the arm or shoulder blade in the shape of a violin, but I do not know if I dare. Should I do it? If 50 people says that I should do It, I will! :)
you do it girl!
I say go for it. Its something to honor the memory of a close family member you loved as well as something that you really do love. Even if you arent that good at it yet, keep practicing.
Do it.
And also learn the violin. :P
Lord of the Rings is superior to Harry Potter in almost every way
They are different but equally good
/that moment when you fall in love with Lindsey Stirling just because she made a Lord of the Rings video/
Right here!!!
YES
that moment you question your sexuality '-'
Toaster I'mNormal same
same here
My 8 year old daughter is in violin classes now because of Lindsey:D she loooves you
Beautiful :) I grew up with Lord of the Rings and this brought me back to my childhood
No matter how many times i hear this theme, a smile always forms and my heart warms. Everytime. It truly is a love.
I couldn't enter Sauron's lair, there was always one Mordor to go through.
Haha.😂
That got me! 😂✨
I had to reread this a few times, 😂 LOL
Her music makes me cry in a totally positive way. I'm the type of person that FEELS music so yea.
I didn't think this was that great ... but I've been spoiled by watching so many Julliard violinists, etc. Immense respect, nonetheless. I'm sure she will get better with time.
Lindsey is a beacon of hope for humanity. Thanks for existing 🙏
Beautiful music; beautiful gift, beautiful soul - thanks for sharing your beauty with the world, Lindsey! May the Lord continue to inspire you and play through your soul!
I agree
Peter Brown I second that. The way she plays the violin is not just a form of music, it's art.
LOL, I hadn't intended to make a pun but I'm enjoying it and laughing as well. Just for clarification (if needed) perhaps I should have said "may God continue..." but if the Lord of the Rings inspires too, that's all good as well!!! :)

8 years later, still listening, still loving
How is that impressive
We are still reading the books 66 years after they were published
And watching the first movie 19 years after its release
20 years now.. still love it
Skoro to vypadá jako video ze svatby. Jak na konci běží a usmívá se na kohosi za sebou.
💖
@@kattastadir-sydri "How is that impressive" - It's impressive because she's an incredibly talented musician, and she's actually _using_ her talent. And not only is she playing the music, but she arranged it, and she writes many of her own songs. Just think about it for a minute... For every one violinist who becomes famous, how many do you think there are who simply give up? A thousand? Ten thousand? More?
Words cannot describe how charming you look, Lindsey, or how incredible this video is.
You probably hear this all the time, but hearing you inspired me to teach myself the violin. When I get to the level of playing folk tunes for my friends around a campfire, then I will be successful.
Amazing! You should do the theme for pirates of the Caribbean. I love your music and may be coming to your concert in Calgary in August!!!
I think that's video is called master of tides
+Cc Monhan at least it's got a similar story to it.🙂🐚🎻

Lindsey stirling don't sing to this song. It's the original voice from Lord of the rings.
+Marlies Celinè Strutzenberger No, it's not.
Wait, 4K dislikes? Tho are those people? The Orcs of Isengard? Sauron? Tell me? Baffled
+ziska arnold Probably the bots hired by Grima wormtongue

yaa the dislikers r them only ;)
For real! That's what I was wondering!
She should definetly include more singing in her next upcoming songs. :)
Lord of the Rings is a treasure of cinematography. 20 years have passed but…it’s still the same emotion 🤗👏🏻❤️😊
I Missed Middle-earth, Gandalf, Hobbit, Lady Galadriel, etc. from The Lord of the Ring Fanclub. TT

Beautiful, and Talented. Who ever wins her heart is a lucky man.
Or woman.
Bakhari B. *Nods* Or Woman
Man, Lindsey Stirling is the greatest! And what a voice! She's fantastic.
Tabitha Reichl You have to check out her song Firefly. It's not available on iTunes because it's a reward for people who pre-order her album (Brave Enough). I think her music can still be pre-ordered after it's released, but if not, it is available on UA-cam too.
Kailee Walden Thanks for the heads up! I'll check it out.
Kailee Walden the hotel
+Kristin F Okay, it's been a little while and I want to say Lindsey also sings some on LindseyTime. She has a video called Rob's Song that's also worth checking out and she did "Jam Sessions" where she would sing sometimes.
This was my first videos of yours i ever saw that led to me falling in love with your music.
Happy 10th anniversary to this video 🧡
You have a power of ocean and will of stars...
You are the best with violin
If Bethesda has any brains.......Lindsey Sterling should be first in the que for music production for the game of Elder Scrolls 6.
she is could at covering music. doesn't mean she is good at composing it. jeremy soul should still compose it, but she can definetly play some of it
Ahg, I want to go to New Zealand so badly.

Me too, but it would take 25 hours with a plane *.*
+Chi Willington COME!! It's lovely
+Darkane1990 its a 3h flight for me :( i wish you could have a short flight.
+Darkane1990 that's over a day!!😮😦
Since elementary days up until now that I almost finished my masters I never get tired of watching LOTR. Every song and music brings me back to hobbiton, to bree, to the great plains of Gondor, to Minas Tirith and too many favorite places to mention. You know...😊
Wow. Wheres this place shes in. I wanna make my wedding there
New Zealand - Where they also shot Lord of the Rings
+ZshacZap I was born and raised in New Zealand. Then at 21 moved to England.....

new zeland is gorgeous ..... tho locals did not like when i monuted a horse and rode across the fields charing with a spear in toe shoutinng death hahahahaha
Wow, you sing as lovely as you play. I showed my mom a couple of your songs and she was blown away. She said she'd love to see you play, so if you ever come back to Tulsa Oklahoma, We'll both be there. My mom doesn't like most of the music I listen to, and she very rarely listens to music cause she can't find any she likes. It's amazing that you impressed her so much. She even told me she plans to buy your CD! :O Well. I just wanted to share that, thanks for being you Lindsey. :)
so not only is she an AMAZING violinist BUT SHE CAN SING TOO?! COOL!! :D
Uncommon opinion: LOTR is better than Harry Potter
gogul nath is that uncommon?
Definite agreement.
That's not an opinion... that's a fact. Please know the difference. ✊🤣
@@nicoleramos5964 :D
Not that uncommon! Lol I love both but LOTR is by far my favorite 💖

***** This is making me want to fly over to New Zealand right now 0^0
***** wasnt the shire filmed in new zealand?
***** Not to mention The Hobbit, as well.
***** please make a harry potter soundtrack medley, please!
some people can sing well, some can play an instrument well, but you can not use them both as good as lindsey stirling
some people call it justice... im the only one who knows the truth... all i have left... is the wind by my side... HUAR CHING KUING HAH HUH HIYA! - ohh waits that another thing
It's a shame this can't go on spotify
Querida eyernamente grata, quando a emoção aflora, brotam lávrimas, e as palavras perdem o sentido diante da beleza dos seus acordes.

Its awesome cause I live in NZ, and can pretty much go to Hobbiton any time I want
Would die for a day in The Shire
Ivan Rodriguez I'd rather go to see Gondor if it actually existed :P
BlastoiseTurtle No doubt
so jealous...........!!!!!!
***** Seeing mordor is pretty cool too, although its more snowy then the movie has you think
That voice.... *Dies*
Totally
If you haven't listen to Fireflys by her. It's so amazing :*)
I am just amazed by the talent this lovely lady has.
When I close my eyes and listen , really listen it's like the music is the journey , the roller coaster I am on.
Georgeous music, surroundings, movements, clear sharp violin...what else could you ask for???!!!
How about a Harry potter medley or twilight medley...
Haunting and delightful. I wish I could play violin. You do it so effortlessly and your spirit just soars..Lovely voice.... *CHILLS* :)
If you don't think music is important you need to know that dwarves convinced Bilbo Baggins to rob a dragon by singing.

Still watching in 2024!
Lindsey ❤
I walked down the isle to this... thank you Lindsey, for this beautiful rendition. You’re fantastic! I know I’m nerdy, but this was the perfect wedding song for us...
Okay, I'm officially in love. How could a woman so enticingly beautiful also be so musically gifted. :p I fell in love like ten times throughout this. What an incredible person.
Although I'm a woman I completely agree with you :). She is marvellous...
She really is, Such beauty in so many ways.
0:27 That landscape in that particular scene in amazing. The whole video'sm landscape is incredible, but that one at 0:27 is awesome!
Really looks like the Shire
***** Didn't really surprise me. How many places like that could there be? :)
Honestly, I prefer Lord of the Rings to Harry Potter. The world, music and characters suit me better.
Me too
This is the kind of music, which you can call AWESOME!
No one's music brings me to ecstatic tears like yours does, and very similarly, interpretations and medleys such as this one. Blessed child of Apollo, thank you for gracing us with such beauty
Wonderful Medley
