- This is my REACTION of Animated Short: A Flash | Honkai: Star Rail. What an amazing animated short to start the series off. What is the deeper connection behind Jing Yuan and Jing Liu? What is the backstory of Jing Yuan going forward in the future of Honkai: Star Rail. I cannot wait to play more!!! LETS GOO!!!

@@tine1396 they just have more than average lifespan, which makes them “immortal” in the sense that they can live hundreds and perhaps thousands of years. Judging from the description alone, Jing Yuan is AT LEAST 700 years old. But immortal doesn’t mean they are undying, they can still die, it would just require other external methods like being killed in battle.

I don't think he's dying anytime soon but just training Yangqing so that in case he does gets Marastruck someday there'll someone strong enough to take him on just like how it was with him and his master 😢😢😢

Jing Yuan becoming a legend might've been because he managed to beat his master not something he's proud or Happy about I'm guessing
they did an exceptional job of show that she's strong with the entire battlefield just filled with Frozen Soldiers
it might be sooner than you think, cause based on what jing yuan says, Yanqing isnt a lieutenant cloud knight yet, he isnt even a cloud knight at this point

The one shown in the trailer is a younger Yangqing not the current age old Yanqing in the game

@@HamBurgerHam. who knows there's no specific age or year for getting Marastruck. People only turn into Mara when they exceed their natural lifespan.

Yanqing is ice too like Jingliu. What kinda heartwreching twist it would be if they made Yanqing Mara struck instead because he’s more like Jingliu. So now Jing Yuan would have to deal with his student too.😢

I started tearing up when he said "farewell master" for some reason there was lots of emotions in that simple line😢
Yea Alejandro displayed a lot of emotion in that line, I nod to him. "Farewell...master"
@@loola8908 I think it'd have hit even harder if that was the only line he said as he uses his ult in that short, but keep the roar, and it'd be fitting, he wouldn't be able to say anything else but "farewell... master" he would be on the verge of crying and only able to let out that scream of pain and "forcing" himself to swing at her, omg that'd have been perfect, just that line, the silence and music, and the scream as the music and her fade away~
@@optimusprime7243no way. “Your gift of instruction I repay with this strike” is literally the saddest most badass dialogue I’ve ever heard. Besides it’s 100% in character for Jing Yuan to pay his respects to his mister even when he’s being forced to kill her, no matter the emotional turmoil going inside of him.
Lol “nothing but happiness”. Seeing mihoyo anime here makes me hopeful for future since we’re not just going to see in game engine cutscenes! Towards the end with Yanqing and Jing really just gives anime vibes they gotta make one😭
to be fair, previous hoyo games had lots of animations.

Kinda not related but god do I wish Hoyo let us change VA language for each character. I love JP overall but Jing Yuan EN voice just HIT!
Me as a chinese guy jp voice just doesn't work on jing yuan , chinese sounds more accurate for jing yuan because of his cultural background and words he is using in Mandarin are more sounds better in chinese then jp or eng ..
Maybe i am chinese that's why i am saying this but jp or eng just cannot capture the chinese culture hoyoverse trying to portray ..
@@vitadude5004 It is personal biases for me, but I can see your point. This is why I like the option to choose. You can have the culture of the Xianzhou be represented by CN VA while having people of Belobog be represented by EN VA.
If Hoyo really want to portray a world with cultural diversity, the diversity in language at the same time would really help. CN VA speaks when the character is of CN background, EN speaks when it is more EN related background etc.
This is me with Kafka's EN voice lol

There are some similarities between Jing Yuan and fu hua I feel like

So basically she had the beginning signs of turning into Mara struck lost memories,losing sense of time attacking people.She killed the other cloud knight soldiers freezing them kinda of like dementia and jingyuan was the only one left standing and killed her before she turned all the way. This is giving major death flags to jingyuan I hope the yanging won’t have to do that but knowing hoyoverse.
With Hua teased it would probably happen to other Xianzhou characters especially if MHY adds more to the Luofu. Hua is based on Fu Hua's time as the Celestial. Like, no mercy to Honkai which in this case is to the Abundance.
We already have Luocha which is Otto Raksha era.
What stuck out to me the most has got to be the trees. It's so easy to miss but the symbolism adds to the emotional weight.
I will pull for jing yuan and choose yan qing from standard warp gift just to see them together, it was so wholesome omg. So cuteee
She might be alive because she's seen in the "Interstellar Journey" cinematic.

im just gonna put it out there that Jin Liu might have survived, because there is a very similar Character in the HSR release trailer that is blindfolded but has the same hair ribbon 🤔

As a Honkai Kanchou I must say this is kinda final lesson. Teacher die aprentice wanna be like their Teacher or best all of time. Honkai Impact 3rd kiss their lil sis with this animation.

I'm 100% sure that MiHoYo did not do that by accident. MiHoYo loves bringing up HI3 players old traumas for sure.

2) Jing Yuan will def get mara strucked, and be killed by Yanqing.
3) FINALLY!! My only disappointment in HSR so far is the lack of animated short, I mean come on, it's not honkai if there's no anime during every last moment of the last arc hehe
Iirc in Hi3, it was Ma Yanqing (one of Fu Hua's discples) who killed the enemy faction's Jing Yuan... but in HS3 they're master and discple... so what if history repeats itself and now Jing Yuan was mara strucked and Yaqing needs to kill his master too.... I mean from the looks of it if JingLiu really died during the Lightning Lord's attack and there's already leaks of her splash art that means she will still be playable even if she's already dead, just like how Hi3's Himeko.

I maybe too nitpicky when she taught him to wield a sword but he switches to a glaive as his main waepon later, weapon usage is inconsistent but animation is 10/10 and story is nice as well.😊
Glaives are usually weapons of Generals though. Since they are mostly on Cavalry.

chinese is better, its the original voice, the lips fits better, the pacing is also better
