- This video attempts to answer the very complicated explanation of the scenario where we have the airline pilot hiring industry making its first downturn (non Covid related) in almost 5 years. I attempt to summarize the main events that have led us to this distinct point in history and explain what the trends are and where we are going int he future.
Get ready for collage degree requirements across the board, and higher hour requirements. The pilot shortage is over.
I would t necessarily say it’s over but times are definitely about to become more competitive.
Good luck
Good content thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I have a class A misdemeanor conviction on my record from ~10 years ago. No trouble at all since.
What are my chances of getting hired on with an airliner?
Good as long as no other offenses within last 10 years and have shown professional growth since the occurrence. This includes speeding tickets (ability to follow directions when nobody is watching)
How does a leadership position within a professional organization like LPA look like?
Always looks good, but be careful. Having a professional organization and not actually doing anything meaningful besides paying the dues actually looks really bad. Just my .02
@@PilotPulseChannel oh I believe that. I am latino myself - this is going to be a lifelong thing for me.
As of May 2024, the game has changed. I just got hired at a regional and all three of us at the interview had ATPs, significant military turbine experience, and a type rating eg A320.
This is just a theory I don’t know how true this is, but I have a feeling after Boeing gets there aircraft with their quality safety issues same for airbus. I think the pilot hire is going to pick up again.
I believe this to be very true. There are still several years of great pilot hiring left in this decade, just not in the next 6-9 months.
😂
Yet I’m still missing flights do to no pilots 😂
