Hopefully Ducati will include a Monster with a single sided swing arm and adjustable suspension. Maybe an S or R version with a 150+ ponies.

I'll get this one in 2 weeks 🤩 and I decided to get the Monster 950 + instead of the Street Triple RS or the MV Brutale 800 Rosso - it just touches my emotions more and that's what a bike should do for me 🥰. I'm coming from the Tuono 660...

@@CaliMotoTV perhaps. But with adjustability it can be how YOU want it. We are fans of dave moss, stock is never going to do it for us ;) that said, a cartridge kit and rear shock upgrade (2k$ more) should make this bike the real monster

@@CaliMotoTV exactly. Which prices this bike beyond a street triple 765rs. And even with everything ducati has done, I'm not sure if this bike is better than that bike. OK, the L-twin motor is a lot of fun on the road. And they're now in the same weight class. But chassis (brakes+suspension) is definitely more budget. If this is supposed to be Ducati's bread and butter, they better figure out the pricing. And fast. Otherwise mt09sp and 890r and 765rs are all, arguably, superior middle weight motorcycles.

Collected my new Monster on Saturday and it was like I knew already how the bike would behave from watching your video's. I have not taken it out of touring mode yet though as I am under orders from the dealer to keep the revs below 4k for the first 1,000km. I have 400 km up on it already. But even so I can see this is going to be a fun bike and am looking forward to spending some years enjoying it.

I just got my RS 1.5 weeks ago and it’s super cool, a friend has the monster in order and I drive a Hypermotard RVE as well and just thought it might be a bit to similar and wanting to start dipping my toe into track riding so I went with the RS.

RE: Non Adjustable Forks : What was the sag on it with your 230 Lbs on it ?
Sometimes the factory gets it right on a front end like this.
My 2021 Trident was 32mm sag with my 190 Lbs on it. 32mm sag and I shoot for 30 to 35 mm when I can adjust.
    Works great on Palomar.
Trident rear shock sucked, but I fitted a Sachs from an Aprilia RSV 4 and it was excellent.

Great choice! I think your first mod should be to order the Euro spec flush front and sweeping rear indicators (assuming they can be retrofitted). @rlsedition 3 роки тому

@@CaliMotoTV If you have a naked bike, with the exception of a (very few) manufacturer accessories, there are no good aesthetic choices for wind protection. After all these years, a clear Lexan windshield is still the epitome of dorkiness. As far as pricing, the Supersport costs more because it offers more than the Monster. The Ohlins suspension alone is well worth the difference to those who want a truly competent and adjustable chassis and is unavailable on the Monster at any price.

I've tested all of them and the Ducati does really well. The MT09SP has better suspension and is a slightly bit quicker but it also stands higher, feels more supermoto style. The Street triple is better top end power but the Ducati would leave it behind low to mid range. Kind of guess I have ordered the Ducati and it comes in 3 weeks. Only upgrades are Termignoni exhaust that it needs really.
