As someone who used to work at Disney world, this is what the pins are for that say “we are celebrating our honeymoon.” That’s the only way we will know and it really depends on if the cast member has a spare moment to make some phone calls.
I had a very small wedding and did have a potluck. However, we provided the main dish, apps, drinks and the cake. We asked our guests IF they wanted to bring their favorite dish to share instead of gifts. We wanted the focus to be on community and family instead of anything else. It was fantasic. Some guests brought stuff and some didn't which was perfectly fine. It made our wedding more special and I sincerely appreciated the effort and enjoyed the suprise of what was brought. It worked for our guests instead of asking for random gifts as we already had everything we needed.

I would never demand anyone bring anything and definitely wouldn't ask anyone for anything specific but that's just me. I think it's about how you treat people overall more than anything. We did disney for our honeymoon and it was awesome. We went on the Small World Ride and near the end there is a sign that flashed our names and said "congratulations on your wedding" or something like that. We were blown and legitimately thought my mother in law (she booked everything for us) did it as a surprise. We figured out it was the Disney bands, everything was all digitally synced and stuff.

Charlotte, I wrote a comment a couple weeks ago about how a child's spontaneous act at my wedding is a treasured memory years later. I got a bunch of replies with other great stories of things that went "wrong" but the brides laughed and enjoyed the day. I think all of us were nonbridezillas. I think it would be great idea for a video of all our sweet, funny stories of what a wedding should be. A celebration with loved ones and with the entire families from 1 day to 100 years old and all the unpredictable real life things that are the parts everyone ends up remembering. Hope your special day is everything and more that you have ever hoped for.
I'm all for this!! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our wedding day which was fraught with adventures of one kind or another!! Ten years later, we still laugh while recounting the day!

Granted, I haven't been to too many weddings, and none of them really fancy. At my cousin's wedding (we were only born a week apart) the wedding was held at his parent's house, and the bride wore a picture frame hat. She looked good even though she was a large woman (but there were other large women in the family so there was no real issue) and when the kiss after the vows came, her hat kept getting in the way or knocked aside and they were both getting flustered (it was kind of comical). Finally, the officiant, who was the local judge, said, "Just take the damn hat off and kiss her!" It broke the tension, everyone laughed, and you could feel the tension drain out of the room. That day, he became stepfather to four children (she'd been married before, and he wound up legally adopting) and they went on to have another child together.
When you go to Disney World and tell them the special event (i.e. honeymoon) they absolutely will give you special treatment. When we went we were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. When we checked in they gave us each a pin that said "Celebrating 1st Anniversary" our resort had cute little towel animals on the bed with rose petals and a signed picture of Mickey & Minnie congratulating us. Everywhere went, wearing our pins, for the whole week they would do something a little special for us. They call it "magical moments" and as I later found out from a friend that worked at Disney each employee is supposed to look for guests wearing celebration pins & opportunities where they can create those magical moments. We got things like free drinks, merchandise discounts, special character visits, free ride fast passes, etc.
As costs were adding up for my wedding I thought "we could just go to Paris" so we did. We eloped. We had to settle for a vow renewal due to residential laws. Who knew? But the experience was amazing and I wore a simple white wedding dress by the famous designer Penné. That's JC Penné. 😂😅😊

This is highly insensitive to people who have a modest income. It used to be about people gathering to support the new couple, not finance them.
If they are paying, they aren't your guests, they're your customers. If soemone expects me to pay to go to their party it's an automatic no. And no, I will NOT spend whatever the cost of the plate is. I didn't ask for a $300 dinner and I don't owe you a gift that covers it. Expecting guests to pay enough to cover dinner is Tack. KEE. a guest is a GUEST. Guest means you pay and demand nothing back. If they choose to give you something, great. NO ONE is required to give a gift.

1:49 so Disneyland/World WILL acknowledge your birthday or anniversary or honeymoon etc, but you do have to tell them. You go to the town hall and say “hey we’re celebrating XYZ!” and they’ll give you a big button that says “Just Married” or whatever. And that is what tells the cast to be extra nice to you and wish you well or maybe get a free dessert at one of the restaurants
My (65f) 1st wedding (1976) I wore a high school handmade formal, my 2nd wedding dress was a store bought light cream knee length, my 3rd and final wedding dress was borrowed from a coworker who used it as her wedding dress who borrowed it from our coworker (original owner).😂😂😂. we had a non traditional tiny wedding. We couldn't afford to feed peeps for the "reception" so we told our 30 guests we will be getting a reservation at a steakhouse where they would need to pay for their own meals. We also told them no wedding gifts considering the expensive meals. We were upfront with our plans from the off and everyone had a great time! And yes we made sure to leave a very good tip for the staff at the steakhouse.
My husband and I made the food for my son's wedding. Her Mom and us paid for two inexpensive venues one for the wedding and one for the reception. Everyone complemented the food. You can have a nice wedding without spending too much money, the whole wedding was about (including a suit and an inexpensive dress) 3000 dollars.

I can feel for the first one. I went on my first cruise, the second day at Nasu was cancelled due to weather conditions. I guess that’s where all the shopping was since day 1 was beaches. The reason so many honeymooners act immature is because they are. So many newlyweds are in their early twenties. Even insurance companies know this age isn't matre enough to operate a car and get a discount so don't expect them to be mature enough to act like responsible adults!

Hello, Potato Queen, and my fellow Petty Potatoes 🥔! I'm so thankful for Charlotte and her videos, especially her compilations. My mental health (PTSD, anxiety disorders, and Prolonged Grieving Disorder) has been taking a beating lately as my Pittie boy Tank has had emergency surgery a couple of days ago. My anxiety is off the charts since I lost my beloved heart and soul dog Zoë, (Tank's litter mate/sister), suddenly and unexpectedly in September of 2023 moments before she was to have the emergency life-saving surgery she needed. She died right in front of me as I was giving her kisses, stroking her face and head, and telling her that everything was going to be alright. I told her that the wonderful vet surgeon was going to fix everything that was making her sick,I'm not going ANYWHERE, and she'd be able to come home with Mommy to our family. While I was telling her this, BOOM, her heart just STOPPED. Right in front of me, and no matter what the amazing Staff did, they couldn't get her back. I've been a broken wreck since. I can't even get to a place where her death is even a little bit bearable. Charlotte helps distract me from the agony sometimes. It's Saturday, my boy's condition is still guarded, but I'm terrified that he'll decide to leave and go to his sister, their son we lost during Lockdown, and the old men cats who helped raise them. I'm sorry for this wall of text (and terrible formatting). I also know that the people/animals in CA are going through MUCH worse right now, but I'm sitting here by his recovery kennel trying NOT to let him feel my fears. Just trying to tell him to fight because I love him and he belongs at home. If anyone reads this whole thing, thank you so very much! I think the bride asking her groom to wear contacts wasn't ashamed of him, she was jealous. I personally think she was feeling like his heterochromia would overshadow her in the pictures since those eyes tend to be very striking. Is this the reason? Ok, regarding the couple getting married who only allowed very specific people (no plus one unless the person fell into certain categories). Maybe one or both of the bride/groom suffers from anxiety (or something similar) when around people they don’t know and just wanted their wedding a day they could really enjoy. Just saying we don’t know all the facts.

unfortunately, a TRUE bridezilla (not someone who just wants their wedding THEIR way) is a symptom of underlying control issues/narcissistic tendencies that most likely also appear in everyday life, so it would probably take serious therapy for them to see anything wrong with it. (this obviously doesn't account for people who just let the stress get the better of them and snap/get upset etc. there is a difference between a bridezilla and a bride who just stresses about everything going too perfectly)

Feel you on the family reunion thing! I have 10 siblings and one of my older sisters once tried to get us all together for family pictures. It took her 6+ months and by the end of it two sisters stopped talking, two more left early cause they were going to start a fight and another sister refused to get pictures with two other siblings because they werent "blood related" (by that she means, last to join the family because we have a few adopted people in the family and they are "just step siblings". Wild time. Its a cute photo shoot though, got a lot of adorable photos
There is no excuse for charging people to attend your wedding. There are ways to save money on food for receptions. Keep it simple and make sure you have enough food for all of your guests. If you want to serve a hot meal spaghetti and baked ziti are an economical way to feed a crowd (you can order large pans of pasta from your local Italian restaurant if you don't want to make it yourself). Make fruit & veggie trays, have cheese and crackers. Cook meatballs. Bake your own cookies and cupcakes for dessert.

1:49 so Disneyland/World WILL acknowledge your birthday or anniversary or honeymoon etc, but you do have to tell them. You go to the town hall and say “hey we’re celebrating XYZ!” and they’ll give you a big button that says “Just Married” or whatever. And that is what tells the cast to be extra nice to you and wish you well or maybe get a free dessert at one of the restaurants

My (65f) 1st wedding (1976) I wore a high school handmade formal, my 2nd wedding dress was a store bought light cream knee length, my 3rd and final wedding dress was borrowed from a coworker who used it as her wedding dress who borrowed it from our coworker (original owner).😂😂😂. I was 17, 29, and 34 respectively… my first ring was a small promise ring, my second was from a set he had bought prior to our ever knowing each other (control freak) and my third was bought from a pawn shop… there’s no shame in having less expensive wedding memories… ❤

we had a non traditional tiny wedding. We couldn't afford to feed peeps for the "reception" so we told our 30 guests we will be getting a reservation at a steakhouse where they would need to pay for their own meals. We also told them no wedding gifts considering the expensive meals. We were upfront with our plans from the off and everyone had a great time! And yes we made sure to leave a very good tip for the staff at the steakhouse.
My husband and I made the food for my son's wedding. Her Mom and us paid for two inexpensive venues one for the wedding and one for the reception. Everyone complemented the food. You can have a nice wedding without spending too much money, the whole wedding was about (including a suit and an inexpensive dress) 3000 dollars.
I love compilations videos. They’re the best :) I will say that sometimes the music in the background is too much or too loud for me personally, but it’s worth it

I can feel for the first one. I went on my first cruise, the second day at Nasu was cancelled due to weather conditions. I guess that’s where all the shopping was since day 1 was beaches.
BUT I ONLY FEEL FOR HER BECAUSE IF I WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO CHOOSE A DAY WHERE EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED, I’d hope the travel advisor would give me a heads up as I’m sure I’d be thinking about a million other things during a wedding. 😅
The reason so many honeymooners act immature is because they are. So many newlyweds are in their early twenties. Even insurance companies know this age isn't matre enough to operate a car and get a discount so don't expect them to be mature enough to act like responsible adults!

I'm so thankful for Charlotte and her videos, especially her compilations.
My mental health (PTSD, anxiety disorders, and Prolonged Grieving Disorder) has been taking a beating lately as my Pittie boy Tank has had emergency surgery a couple of days ago.
My anxiety is off the charts since I lost my beloved heart and soul dog Zoë, (Tank's litter mate/sister),
suddenly and unexpectedly in September of 2023 moments before she was to have the emergency life-saving surgery she needed.
She died right in front of me as I was giving her kisses, stroking her face and head, and telling her that everything was going to be alright.
I told her that the wonderful vet surgeon was going to fix everything that was making her sick,I'm not going ANYWHERE, and she'd be able to come home with Mommy to our family.
While I was telling her this, BOOM, her heart just STOPPED. Right in front of me, and no matter what the amazing Staff did, they couldn't get her back.
I've been a broken wreck since. I can't even get to a place where her death is even a little bit bearable.
Charlotte helps distract me from the agony sometimes.
It's Saturday, my boy's condition is still guarded, but I'm terrified that he'll decide to leave and go to his sister, their son we lost during Lockdown, and the old men cats who helped raise them.
I'm sorry for this wall of text (and terrible formatting).
I also know that the people/animals in CA are going through MUCH worse right now, but I'm sitting here by his recovery kennel trying NOT to let him feel my fears.
Just trying to tell him to fight because I love him and he belongs at home.

I think the bride asking her groom to wear contacts wasn't ashamed of him, she was jealous. I personally think she was feeling like his heterochromia would overshadow her in the pictures since those eyes tend to be very striking. Is this the reason? I can't say for sure, but it's the vibe I was getting from her post.
About 1:20:00 the bride who wants to borrow the sister-in-law's wedding dress. Hell to the no!! I got my wedding dress at Jessica McClintock for $99. I would have gone to Goodwill if I had to. Ok, regarding the couple getting married who only allowed very specific people (no plus one unless the person fell into certain categories). Maybe one or both of the bride/groom suffers from anxiety (or something similar) when around people they don’t know and just wanted their wedding a day they could really enjoy. Just saying we don’t know all the facts.

I had a beautiful princess wedding dress. It was so incredibly beautiful and I only paid $500 for it. I couldn’t believe it. I got divorced and gave it to the thrift store. I hope so much someone was so happy to find it and get married in it. That being said, the thrift store often has many options of great wedding dresses. There is zero reason for her to ask for someone else’s.
It's super easy to get a wedding dress cheap or free. Anyone demanding a dress should be automatically denied. IT's an asshole move.

unfortunately, a TRUE bridezilla (not someone who just wants their wedding THEIR way) is a symptom of underlying control issues/narcissistic tendencies that most likely also appear in everyday life, so it would probably take serious therapy for them to see anything wrong with it. (this obviously doesn't account for people who just let the stress get the better of them and snap/get upset etc. there is a difference between a bridezilla and a bride who just stresses about everything going too perfectly)

I have a friend who has different colored eyes, and we all thing she’s special, she’s gorgeous, and no one would ever consider it a birth defect.
Feel you on the family reunion thing! I have 10 siblings and one of my older sisters once tried to get us all together for family pictures.
It took her 6+ months and by the end of it two sisters stopped talking, two more left early cause they were going to start a fight and another sister refused to get pictures with two other siblings because they werent "blood related" (by that she means, last to join the family because we have a few adopted people in the family and they are "just step siblings".

There is no excuse for charging people to attend your wedding. There are ways to save money on food for receptions. Keep it simple and make sure you have enough food for all of your guests. If you want to serve a hot meal spaghetti and baked ziti are an economical way to feed a crowd (you can order large pans of pasta from your local Italian restaurant if you don't want to make it yourself). Make fruit & veggie trays, have cheese and crackers. Cook meatballs. Bake your own cookies and cupcakes for dessert.
IF they have to pay, they are your customer, not your guest. The tackiness is beyond belief. If you can't afford a meal, specify up front it will be a short gathering for desserts only or whatever you can actually afford.

If a stranger asks you to switch seats so they can sit together, only say yes if it's equal or an upgrade. There are so many scammers who buy just one premium seat and try this stunt. If they actually care about sitting together, they should offer to downgrade, and give the better seat to stranger. Otherwise they are full of shit.
