Many critics specify apple cider vinegar, which, I suspect, because of the color makes the mixture boil quicker. Regardless, it's good to know clear vinegar works just as well.

Nov. 2022, and this video saved the day! 💜 Perfect method for cleaning microwave without chemicals. Also, if something is still really stuck on, just dip your towel in the remaining hot water/vinegar. 👍🏽🙏🏽

Water Exploded!!
I filled up a cup with approx 200 ml of water and 1 tbsp white vinegar. Set the Microwave oven to max heat for 4 min. After 4 Mins I let it stay in there for 2 minutes and then wiped away the dirt. There were still hard stains that did not get cleaned up.
Next, I placed the same cup inside. There was only half of the cup filled this time. I did not refill the liquids. I started the Micorwave oven for only 3 mintues this time but within 1.5 minutes I heard a loud thud and my home electricity got tripped off. I sensed it should be the microwave becuase thats where the sound came from.
I opned the microwave door and find out that water dripping from the oven ceiling and little water flooded on the floor.
So, its proven that the water will explode if there is less quatity in the cup which has narrow circumfrance at the bottom.
I guess it's a case of boiling delay. You can avoid that, if you stop the microwave every few minutes and stirr the water so the heat can spread evenly. Or just refill the water.
You can put a wooden skewer or any non metal utensil in the water while it's heating up. It'll prevent the water from exploding
Better to use a wide glass bowl and fill water in that.

Nice tip!! You can also use crocodile cloth cleaning wipes! They are amazing! They'll help you to get rid of grease and oily dirt easily!

I just wore myself out cleaning the kitchen and did my best on the microwave but had to come lie down. I got injured last month and so my husband and son were left to their own devices. Grease everywhere and I think Mac and cheese at the top of the microwave. I will try your method in the morning and band them from the kitchen😂😊

Unless your oven is on a very low setting, if you heat that cup of water for ten or even five minutes it will get super-heated and explode. Maybe in your face.

My wife did it and she got vinegar exploded to her face with 2nd degree burnt. I sent her to hospital. You need to wait until it got cooled down a bit.
I am sorry for what happened but I again n again mentioned to be CAREFUL. Also once the microwave STOPS we need to keep it at rest so that steam can moisten the stains and spots.

If there is a chance of explosion it would be better to put a caution somewhere on title of the video. Of course, it is just a suggestion (no offense).

Ok so how do you get rid of the vinegar smell?
It will be automatically gone in some time.Don’t worry. Just spray some room freshener in the kitchen or wherever the microwave oven is placed.

Well I done this and not to sound like a negative person and I did the whole 10 minutes but I did positive five minutes because I had to do something so when I continue the extra five minutes the microwave exploded my cup did not crack but the water just exploded just every worse so then I try to scrub off the rust and the paints that are coming off so that means I have to buy a new one which is fine but at least I tried this trick but it was a scary moment I experience
