I have hiked up to the top of Wheeler more than once.I lived at Taos Ski Valley. Great views! Nice video.

do they allow over night at the parking lot or was it stealth camping.
There were multiple cars in the parking lot overnight. I didn't have any issues!

Speaking of Wheeler, Wheeler Geologic Area in CO is another place I want to hike someday. It looks a lot like Bryce Canyon NP.

The trailhead is great and had lots of parking. It can't be missed :)
