FYI - during 2021 the Met police stopped and searched 461 people under section 43. Not a single one of those people was subsequently charged with a terror related crime!
So yes, clearly section 43 is being abused and will surely go the way of section 44 in time!

Worth noting - under the Data Protection Act, you have a right to be informed that your data is being captured, no later than the point at which its captured. It’s not just police policy, it’s law. When you film an officer telling you they don’t have to tell you they’re recording, you’ve got an instant claim for compensation under Article 82 of the GDPR for their failure to uphold your right to be informed. They can’t even wriggle out of it when they openly declare they don’t have to tell you. The law says they do, and if they don’t, kerching!

They know they're going to be as much use as tits on a brick in a physical altercation so they make up for it (or so they think) by being assertive and forceful in their demeanour. Problem there is by doing that, most of them come across as abrasive and condescending so they inevitably always seem to have the effect of escalating situations unnecessarily.

Audit Britain is inspiring for viewers like me in India, where we lack such assertive public audits and rights enforcement. AB's approach to holding officials accountable and standing his ground sets a high standard. I also value the channel's insight into post-audit actions, like whether officers get further training or if FOI requests reveal additional details. For anyone passionate about transparency and public accountability, Audit Britain is a must-watch!

Standard childish policing to never admit to being wrong, to argue until blue in the face that they are correct despite being wrong, childish “your welcome” when she left.. failed interaction yet again… and that is how 95% of the interactions shown in auditing content go. Do they even know what the definition of a terrorist is? I've come to the conclusion that they don't. They seem to think a terrorist is someone who catches them on film tossing it off instead of working.

AB that would be a GREAT Social Experiment to see how the police deal with your normal audits but also get yourself a couple of big hearing aids and see how they also deal with potentially hard-at-hearing people? Cheers from down South.

The phone operator who answered the initial call, should’ve said to the caller that you are paranoid, and you should seek counselling. There is not a crime being committed go and have a coffee.

I believe that female officer got enlightened with that interaction. Let’s hope she improves. Her demeanour and approach to you from the start was all wrong. Some people really shouldn’t be police officers. Once they get a little perceived power they start feeling invisible.

    Interesting video as usual.
The approach of the male PC is good although he was trying to cover his colleague mistakes. And the approach of the female PC was terrible from the beginning (threatening to use power and failing to inform about filming)
    Male PC : 7/10
Female PC : 1/10 (one for the uniform 😊).

Do these people ever read? The national police chiefs association has stated that photography alone is not grounds for terrorism. It never ceases to amaze me how such junior officers get this so wrong and go to Section 43.

They have difficulties using the right words when they are copsplaining, like when the say :"We can use article 43" in reality they ment to say : "We can wrongfully ABUSE article 43", it doesn't sound very different, but IT IS VERY DIFFERENT.
