Sorry for just now seeing your question. No this was not the problem yes it helped but in the end it had to do with oxygen sensors. It started later that day. But the codes told me both lower o2 sensors were bad so i ended up replacing them and really haven't had a problem since then. Other then gasket on the upper oil pan leaking and power steering hose leak. Still have the car and and my daily driver. Just went over 200k a little over 2 months ago.

I found mine originally by crawling around doing routine stuff. It's so refreshing to see Suzuki simply mounted it inline, in a simple place to reach and with regular clamps. My Ford F250 needs those stupid aircraft style clamp releases. I swapped the filter out just because I didn't have a history for the truckster. Now...what I was searching for was a video that shows if there is a porthole under the rear cargo area carpet to get at the fuel pump. I'm pretty sure it is a drop tank procedure but hope against hope Suzuki was logical enough to put in a porthole. Anyone know? Once I find it, I'll be cutting a hole in the floor for future replacements. There's nothing more curse generating than blowing a fuel pump 40 kms in the bush and having to drop the tank.
I am not sure. i have the 3ed row seat therefore i would have to say drop because there isn't really any room. The only hope would be if you take off the little storage compartment for the jack. Good luck to you.
Notice how shiny that original paint still looks. Yes Suzuki!
Yes that paint is amazing for being a Arizona and California car for most of its life. Other then the last 3 years in north Minnesota.
I’m sorry to anooy you but can I ask you does the Suzuki grand vitara 2002 manual small engine 4 cylinder 2 doors have fuel filter like you or not?
Excellent video, very precise and short
Did that fix your suzuki xl7 problems
Was this the fix?

You are going to have a much harder Time removing the original "quick" conector that comes with it, instead of those clamps
