Date & Walnut Cake Recipe

Today I am sharing my Date & Walnut cake,a really simple recipe but the end result is this #moistcakerecipe which goes so well with a hot cup of tea or coffee for a great evening treat .

1 cup deseeded dates (if you want a #sugarfree cake use 2 cups of dates & skip the sugar )
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup boiling hot water
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup of melted butter(you can substitute it with ghee as well)
2 tbsp of milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 & 1/2 cup of plain flour/maida(you can use gluten free flour too)
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup walnuts +1/4 cup for topping
