Great ideas for prayer journal. Very productive video. I am getting a treadmill from my sister. So glad you started with 6 mins. That makes me feel good. Knowing I am not going to be the only one.
Karen, Thank you for sharing this Biblical way to pray. Please keep sharing information about your devotions. I recently used washi tape in my devotional journal because of watching you! Thank you.
You are welcome - I love to motivate you! 🤭 You motivate me. So win win for both of us. I get up between 4:30 and 5 a.m. each workday. And after getting ready, having a nice cup of coffee and practicing the piano (sometimes I even empty the dishwasher or put a load of laundry in the washer) I go to work. I love the quiet morning all to myself! Have a nice weekend! ♥
Karen, what a great morning routine! I have been enjoying the Bible studies we have joined together on. I have been wanting to start back on my elliptical for over a month now, I just keep procrastinating. You have inspired me to just start. 😊 That’s what counts. Hope you have a blessed week! Thank you for sharing sweet lady! I appreciate you greatly! ❤❤
oh! and I just got new glasses on Monday! I took my 3 yo grand because he "never knew an eye doctor". He and I share a favorite color (dark blue) so he was delighted that I got dark blue glasses. (glad he was there since I really wondered what crazy impulse had gotten into me to order something outlandish) Then on the way home he was saying stuff like "I could be a nose doctor if they have good booger pickers" and "I think I need a head doctor" (his head itched when he took off his hat). I wore the new glasses while doing our sheep wrestling and they didn't fall off so they are a success in my book... though the blue still startles me when I look in the mirror.
Haha!! Too cute!! He sounds like he keeps life very interesting and never boring!! ♥️ I need glasses and really don't like the blue light ones but I guess I need them!
I love your sweater! This month I joined DianeinDenmark's challenge to be physically active every day of the month. I live with ME/CFS so I have to plan carefully how I use my energy. Every day I will walk a minimum of 5000 steps. Healthy people do 5000 meters of running, swimming, walking etc. My usual average is 4000 steps per day.
I started the thirty minute challenge of walking every day. Started out so slow. Now I can go much further in thirty minutes and usually do forty or more. Still not very fast. But everyday for about five months now. Started yoga one day a week two months ago. Setting up my spare room to be able to do yoga at home a few days a week. You’re really slimming down. I also journal every morning. Art journaling style. I love your videos and find them motivational. Thank you for sharing so much.
I am going to steal your idea of the cake plate in the bathroom. :) I have a vintage cake plate that I love and it would be so nice to see it every day....totally going to put it in my bathroom!
I find Gloria Vanderbilt jeans & jean shorts are best fit & best price. You can find them at Kohl’s usually. Or JCPennys . Price is around $25 to $40 They are not tight in the legs. You are wearing a size 16 🎉 amazing! I’m still in a 20-22 🤪 uggh
Just wanted to let you know what I found works for me with jeans - I have bought them from other places but find that the Walmart jeans are a good fit - find cheap ones anywhere you can - the last ones I bought at Walmart were on clearance for $11! I bought 3 of them and then took them to a tailor to have the waist band altered to fit my exact size!! It is amazing to have the waist fit perfectly, and she only charged me $7/each! Having a good tailor is priceless! It doesn't matter how much it costs to have clothes that fit because I get so much more use out of the clothes when I get them altered.
Hi Karen, Thank you for sharing your prayer journal and how you use it. I have tried using journals before but the prompts just didn’t work for me. Thanks for modeling how you make it “messy,”how you use the boxes and how you find inspiration for writing. You helped me see that whatever I want to write is fine. There is no wrong way to use a prayer journal. I hope this is making sense but it’s like you gave me permission to do it however I need. You are definitely inspiring me to try again.
Thank you for sharing, Karen. Love your vlogmas a lot, just don't have time to keep up with every single video/ stream right now. Greetings from Germany
Karen, I loved this video. One of your videos inspired me in June to start a prayer journal and I want to thank you. I just sent you a friend request on youversion.
Coffee and meds first., while we check messages on phones and computers. Quick tidy up and make calls if needed. Weather permitting, we head to the gym then any errands/appointments on the way home. Zone work depends on my schedule and start on dinner prep. A lot fits in between this basic structure.
I love the tip about even doing 5 min of something gets you closer to your goal. I’ve been wanting to use my exercise bike . I work full time and have a toddler. I’m trying to work it in , but I’ve haven’t found the right schedule. I’m thinking I could do 5 min before bed though :) thank you for the motivation!
I have same problem with jeans and also being tight in knees. I found target universal thread brand has worked for me, some stretch, boot cut (no skinny jeans for me so glad that trend is out). I also like they have short, regular and long on some styles.
@@ThisMainerMom , I have no idea how to email pictures. I know I was able to send them in Facebook messenger for the picture of my checkered floor. May be it’s delayed. I’ve had that happen before. I’ll try again.
@@ThisMainerMom I’m originally from the west coast so I love a white Christmas but then it could go away lol. I do fear it will be a brown Christmas though 🙁
The only jean I buy is the "Wrangler Women's Blues Relaxed Fit Mid Rise Heavyweight Jean". Unfortunately, Amazon has it marked as currently unavailable :( I did find one on ebay "new without tags". I buy the darkest one and I first use for church and nursery school. When it starts fading I wear it for everything else, and finally it is fit only for farm work. It is not stretchy and it is thick which is my preference. No gaps for me, and definitely not tight on my legs; it is a straight fit. I have no idea what I'll get next if this one is really not going to be available (besides the ebay one, Amazon reports that I've bought this jean 8 times, haha). I personally am not a fan of stretchy and thin and that seems to be the norm. oh well! I could go down a size for the one pair that is too small I suppose...... I have to have jeans that move with me. At home I mostly wear Lands End starfish leggings. I only buy them in the days after Thanksgiving because of the sales and points and such. I have to admit that I sort of wear a "comfortable uniform" - - that is, certain leggings or jeans, certain cotton knit long sleeve t-shirts, certain vests, certain sweaters (cotton or wool), etc. Most of my clothes are solids (and for my color season if you are familiar with that?) so things match pretty easily. The other day at nursery school I wore a new print t-shirt and people kept commenting. I had to laugh; I must be the most predictable boring dresser ever! But, you did ask :) I love the video today about your morning. I was thinking of doing a writing scripture year (some of the New Testament, starting with Galations) which I saw on a FB page. I was going to print it last night and figured out my toner needed to be replaced. I ordered it in the middle of the night, haha. I don't think I will have anything fancy going as I don't have the supplies (or the creativity). I just need to create the habit at this point :) and I had to laugh that one of your verses was about Ps 23 and the Shepherd. I put off some shepherding duties and today really had to get up to the farm and do them with my husband. We wrestled 20+ sheep, including the ram, to do their deworming and pedicures. It was too cold, dark, muddy, and I had taken my coat off so I could move better, and there were some missing name tags/numbers so the book keeping was a challenge......pretty sure we didn't refresh any sheep souls today! but the job is done, so there is that. I was reminded of the song I think called "the new twenty third"? It starts with "Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything that I need". I just looked for it on youtube. I love the way it ends (well, like the psalm of course, but to music). So thanks for reminding me of that, and making a prayer journal doable for the average Christian :)
Thanks for all that sharing, Barbara! Day made!! I love it!! Yes, the stickers and stuff really motivate me but it's not for everyone!! Always good to know what works for you! Those passages about sheep must be extra meaningful to you! 🐑 ♥️
My mornings: I walk for an hour with my coffee and gather my thoughts before anyone else is up. 🥰 I love this time.
