Karabiner ewig benutzen ja ber nur wenn keine scharfen Kanten durch die häufige Benutzung Seilrisse begünstigen. Habe im Material eines Freundes erst neulich einen entdeckt der an einer Stelle so scharf wie eine Rasierklinge geworden ist.. Also auch bei Karabinern obacht!

ich besitze einen Satz fast ungenutzte Black Diamond Camalots, die ca. 25 Jahre alt sind. Die würde ich nun gern wieder in den Dienst nehmen, aber ich traue nun dem eingenähten Bandmaterial nicht mehr über den Weg. Wie kann man das am besten ersetzen. Kann ich alternativ eine Bandschlinge einknoten?

du kannst selbst neues Bandmaterial einknoten. Black Diamond sagt dazu:
"Re-slinging Black Diamond Camalots and C3s
So what and how should you re-sling your BD cams? Of course you can do anything you like:
One-inch tubular webbing with a knot will work.
Sending them to someone that knows how to sew structural climbing gear, and have them bartack a single loop of SuperTape will work.
Having someone that knows what they're doing bartack a double length of SuperTape or 10 mm Dynex will work.
But it's important that you understand the ramifications of such methods:
The strength will be compromised in all cases.
The thumb loop will get tweaked much easier in all cases.
BD doesn't warrant any modifications to the design of our products.
And note:
Dyneema/Spectra doesn't hold a knot. Never use a knot with Dyneema/Spectra.

Nice, bin überrascht. Das heißt selbst wenn einem der Karabiner oder die exe mal aus der Hand rutscht und auf den Boden fällt, z.B. beim an den Klettergurt hängen, ist noch gut, oder wie?

Es wurde uns gesagt, dass das häufig gehörte Problem der sogenannten unsichtbaren Haarrisse in Studien nicht nachgewiesen werden konnte. Kerben oder sonstige sichtbare Beschädigungen können selbstverständlich sicherheitsrelevante Auswirkungen haben!
Wie definiert sich der Normstrurz genau? 80kg, bei welcher Fallhöhe?

Die Fallhöhe ist weit weniger entscheidend als der Sturzfaktor, und der ist beim Normsturz eben sehr hoch. Der ist deshalb so wichtig, weil er etwas aussagt über das Verhältnis aus Fallhöhe und zur Verfügung stehender Seillänge, die durch Dehnung Energie aufnehmen kann.
Es ist z.B. brandgefährlich, sich an einer Bandschlinge selbstzusichern und dann mit der Bandschlinge "gesichert" über den Sicherungspunkt hinaus hochzusteigen --> Sturzfaktor schlimmstenfalls 2 + statisches Bandmaterial. Umgekehrt ist ein 20m Sturz mit Sturzfaktor 0,5 (40m ausgegebene Seillänge) für ein Seil weit weniger problematisch als die 4,5m Fallhöhe beim Normsturz.
