Im from Madrid living in London and i go on Hollidays lost of summers to Gijón..great City great food and the outskirts are beautiful villages like Cudillero and increíble beaches like Gulpiyuri beach and Silencio beach...Oviedo is the Capital of the region..Woddy Allen fall in love with that City theres even a statue of him...lost to know but they had a good taste of Asturias..good job guys

Great random places you visited which happen to be really authentic😝 The meat place is literally 5 minutes away from my flat and seems to be pretty popular among the locals. Yes, Gijón is a great town if you are into cheese 🧀 because you can get awesome blue cheese in our region, Asturias. Thanks for an unorthodox view of a yet to be discovered beach spot far away from the Spanish tourist traps.. Cheers mates 🥂 ( it should have been cider but there’s no emoticon yet !)

La Costa is one of the best places in Gijón, don’t be fooled by the surroundings. The way Sidra is pouring it’s named “escanciar” and is supposed to aired the drink before you drink it to improve the taste. It’s more harsh when you didn’t do it. So happy that you two enjoyed the city!!
Some other time you could visit other parts of Asturias. Our gastronomy is quite varied, and the villages and towns differ from the ones near the coast

You're right! I've never knew any Brit pronouncing it correctly! My tip for my English speaking friends: say it in Asturian, the traditional language of Asturies... Xixón ("shishon") It's really easy for you to pronounce the X as sh, as in show, share or Sheila)... Cheers!

Just a bit of advice when you are drinking Asturian cider: once the cider is served, it is drunk immediately in one gulp. ;-) Great video!!!!
