Never heard of the guy as I don't follow Shakira and he came across the exact opposite from humble throughout the entire interview. Seems like a fake-humility. But, he's held the gig for all this time so have to give it up to him for that.
This is the most fun and educational drum rig tour i have ever seen. Also even what they said is funny and real, stuff that i can used in my setup and learn in my own career. Awesome Saludos Desde Puerto Rico
Right? Right? When he said he's playing with Shakira since 1998 I was like "wtf, did he start as a toddler or what?" Screw "how to keep the gig", I want his diet and exercise tips. 20 years of touring and a lot of hard work and he looks maybe 25. Brandon seems like a really nice person though and he definitely is great at his job
This is a gig that’s so digital and electronic IMO, not about raw drumming abilities and talents, not taking away Brendon’s abilities but to me this gig comes to life from the engineering
I'd say that the drums ad a lot to the show making it feel more alive and organic. Usually when pop artists have real bands instead of backing tracks it sound much better and more alive. Like you said he don't get to do a lot of flashy stuff but being incredibly tight, good with dynamics and having the amazing groove and pocket he does requires a great drummer :)
That's awesome. I have texted with him through UA-cam. I tried to text him a few days ago. But couldn't reach him. Can you please tell him to recommend Shakira the use of dolby atmos, since she's producing her new album now. She can't miss dolby atmos. It's already the next big thing in sound production.
No se puede ser mas guapo XD😍.. Echamos en falta verte tocar a tope como antes, ahora con el nuevo estilo de shak tus sesiones son mas "light", una pena, pero te queremos igual. GRANDE BRENDAN!!!🤘🏽
Shakira is not relevant anymore. Her live show is basically all electronically produced. The days of RUSH and Tom Petty when all instruments played naturally was what u got, not this computerized audio pop garbage
Brendan's kit came out of necessity, not out of greed. He doesn't raise himself above others, he prioritizes making everyone feel comfortable. WISDOM
Brendan be like "I never asked for this."
You are right

What a nice guy! down to earth and wise!
Amazing drummer and super humble. ❤
That guy was grinning from ear to ear that he got to play in that set.
Elmo's smile when he is playing the drums ... like a kid in a candy store... so happy!

Ohh my goodness wow👍🏼
Incredible drummer with amazing pocket and groove! No wonder he's been the go to for this gig the last 20 years
