The fact it runs Whatsapp is perfect. Its a good way to disconnect from social media (detox) while keeping Whatsapp, which is what my family uses to communicate the most.

This WhatsApp only has messaging though right? I just ordered one to stop wasting so much time on my phone but I depend on WhatsApp so I will still have to use my iphone as a back up when I do video calls
I think it does handle voice calls but not video calls

@@FromMattAndDarr Yeah I agree. In around 2018, it was good, around the pandemic it was useful and after it just too much for me. I feel annoyed because it seems like everybody just hate everything, and good peoples tend to not to communicate due to the toxic environment. At the age of 28 I feel bad because I thought this is the best lifestyle. So right now I'm switching to more simple lifestyle. Thanks for this video and finding the time to replies to us :)
I like videos like these. Hopefully they get more support and make more feature phones. I wouldn’t mind a good detox phone but I need good WhatsApp features at least to stay in touch. The rest I could use my laptop for. Nfc payments would be amazing though
yea, i think Nokia should get more credit for these smart feature phones, but I don't think NFC and online payments will be coming to these devices anytime soon, but at least it supports payments by M Pesa or Ecocash for those living in Kenya or Zimbabwe respectively

I have a Nokia 2720 and it's similar to the 6300 4G. They both have KaiOs and all the apps that you would generally need. I switched to this phone as my backup and eventually I started using it more often as I brought my iPad or Pixel book around. The hotspot feature makes it an ideal partner device. Since in most situations, I don't really need my phone other than for WhatsApp, Facebook and making calls, it works very well. I am getting the 6300 4G as a replacement for my 2720. Although my 2720 still works, I wanted to have the option of a different form factor.
Hey I have the same phone as you but my WhatsApp stopped working and it says it is no longer supported. Did that happen to you as well?

I see, it's questionable that they removed whatsapp since it was once one of the main selling points of the device
@@FromMattAndDarr yeah I know. But it seems the other first gen devices didn’t get the new OS update either. I guess they want to force the users to buy the newer devices. My models never had audio calls on WhatsApp either, just text and audio recording
I feel like you're judging a fish on it's ability to climb trees here, you wouldn't buy this phone for the camera, or youtube or whatever, the fact that you're hardwired to give value to certain things is the point that this phone tries to tackle
I use my smartphone as a computer only, but I use a feature phone for calls, texts, and light connectivity when i'm away from my phone, it has less distractions, and the battery life is great on these phones, especially since we're used to charging our phones at least once a day
My current feature phone is a Nokia Asha 210, before that it was the Nokia 2700 classic, I also had a C2-02, a C2-05, and an Asha 302, but now i'm hoping to upgrade to the 6300
It's currently my dream phone honestly, I still have a smartphone, but if a second phone makes me rely on it less then that's a pretty good investment, especially since these phones are fairly cheap
I used a few different smartphones over the years now, and one thing I learned is that I can't rely on them the way I'd rely on a feature phone, they're more prone to break, can be expensive to repair, are more prone to die on you, etc
I just don't trust a smartphone in case I have an emergency
For main internet activity I still highly suggest using a pc or a laptop, I like being able to watch youtube or check my emails after I get home from a working day, and I don't appreciate the idea of having to be connected and consuming content every minute of everyday
Also, I'd just like to add that even many smartphones today struggle with night time photography, and that's the test you decide to put this poor little thing through? That's kinda not fair
IF you have good 4G connection the Google assistant can do most of the typing stuff

Hi thanks for the presentation, i wonder if it support vocals messages on Whatsapp just like a smartphone does? I would like to come back to essential, a smartphone is not interesting for me today so i'm looking for the best feature phone (and my love is for nokia for years now) but i want to be sure about vocals on WhatsApp because we are using it a lot... I will recommend it if ur really looking for a backup device, if ur using it as a second phone , it wouldn't really do the job
is the music quality good or the old nokia 6300 is much better in terms of music quality?
I bought the og version back in 2007 for about 2x the price. Even back then it was one of the worse phones Nokia has ever made but also one of the best looking. There was no Symbian OS, Metal cover was prone to scratches, the black coating on the middle button peels of very easily specially with finger nails, speakers was horrible, even a basic gif animation is slow while people with Nokia Symbian phones were playing real mobile games, camera had a fixed focus (but I took about 9000 pictures with it lol), time and time again I had to open the whole cover to clean the dust as the mouthpiece gets covered with dust etc. I replaced the cover twice from replacements from ebay. It wasn't all bad of course and it was my first phone. I wonder where it is now.
The entire reason why most people want to use a feature phone instead of a smartphone is to get away from Facebook and UA-cam, yet Nokia still puts them on the 6300. If I'm going to use those apps, I might as well just use a smartphone, WHICH I DON'T WANT TO DO!!

I have the same issue. I have this as a backup phone and Whatsapp worked in 2021. I wanted to use it again a couple of weeks ago, and was unable to make it work.

How do you get whatsapp in between your "apps"?. I got the mobile today. I have updated whatsapp in the store. Cant open whatsapp tho and whatsapp will not show in between the "apps"

Hey Iam facing an bluetooth connection problem in this phone. Heres my problem , Whenever I try to connect my new nokia mobile 6300 bluetooth with speakers it gets connected but when i try playing the music, music does not play on the speaker rather it plays on my mobile itlself even though its connected

This is a pure nostalgia phone lol, Not something to recommend for "someone really need to access the internet and don't really have money" as there are even smartphones available in the same price category or slightly above or even refurbished mid or high end phones.
I wouldn't say that, because now I am looking for keypad phones that could complement my samsung flagship phone. I don't know if it's the same for you from where you are, but for me, this could be useful for people who owns 2 sim cards for different networks. This phone could be equipping the sim that has your OTPs, or an old sim that has all the previous contacts. Oftentimes, changing simcard is a hassle, so we resort to owning 2 numbers. At least, that's how it is from where I'm at. So now I'm looking for a low maintenance phone, that is still usable for calls and texts, while also can be used as a pocket wifi if this has mobile hotspot capabilities.

Hi ive tried it with Wifi and it doesnt work , with SIM WhatsApp call works on mine but it taps onto my 4G
@@FromMattAndDarr , so if I want to gift this Nokia 800 4g to my dad in India with a good network connection ( airtel 4G ), whether I can make calls directly to him while travelling around the world.
He does not like digital tech stuff that much, and he stays away from it.
Please clarify some concerns mentioned below: -
1. What app call only works with 4g and sim inserted?
2. If I call on this Nokia what app, automatic notification and ringing will work as the regular call to notify a person whose phone will be in the pocket most of the time.
3. Please confirm whether, if I purchase this phone from the middle east as here is an offer, especially KSA, it will work fine in India 🇮🇳?

Lol you mean the third party would like to make more colorful back case right? I’m Chinese, unfortunately I can tell you is there do not have many people interested in feature phone. Most people refer to use smartphone on their daily life. More and more old people are trying to learn how to use smart phone. So the feature phone is now useful to particularly people who need that~for my personal reason that I choose this phone is for my backup phone. Not for daily life. Thx~😄

Loading websites takes quite awhile but apps like clock or settings and even some of the games run smoothly

Yea i recommend for the price of around 50, you will be off better looking for a Galaxy S8 or iphone 7 in working condition

Was fascinated about the nokia new model phones.After a careful thought had planned to go for the Nokia 215 4G but sadly it wont support UA-cam over opera browser.Earlier java and symbian models were able to run UA-cam over Opera browser.

I have a tab s6 lite and I'm a student... This phone is perfect for me.. Make calls, wathsapp, fb, portable... now my tablet stay home and I stay connected at every place... But in US it's expensive, this babys should cost 30 U$ or less..
