I’m so glad you pointed out that Matt sniffing to detect jet fuel part because I thought I was the only one that found it absolutely jarring. Matt Murdock doesn’t need to sniff like a drug detector dog to identify smells, especially if they are as distinct as jet fuel. He would’ve known even before he stepped into the courtroom.
i don't want to defend this show but the sniffing is part to make obvious how he knew to the audience and part in story for the judge who might not being able to smell the jet fuel to stop them from asking how he knew
@@BlueBlazeKingBut you don't even need that. "What kind of fuel did you use?" is a basic question that a lawyer would ask in a case like this, as he would have to know that the lawsuit is about rocket boots that exploded. Having him sniff out the boots to ask the question is unnecessary, and a perfect example of the writers not even bothering to ask their own natural resources, the Marvel/Disney lawyers, for a few pointers. How did these writers not hire a lawyer as a consultant?!? These court scenes are embarrassing omg lol this goes so far beyond their admitted inability to write court scene drama hahaha
Before Production began the writers should have all been fired and replaced with writers who either worked on or understand how to write comedies/legal dramas.
Drop Dead Diva did a better job at court scenes, in a show about a ditzy blonde model who dies and returns in the body of a chubby brunette lawyer. That show was better than this.

It really speaks volumes about the writers that they believe that the worst thing that the villain could do, the big plot twist for the finale, was to call her a sl*t and reveal how many guys she's been with. If the writers were competent at all I'd say this is the beginning of a character arc about growth and learning what actually makes people happy, and showing that its her life choices and the lens she chooses to view the world through that is causing her to be miserable and lonely. But they've already so clearly shown that She-Hulk is a self-insert character that its obvious they are miserable and don't know why. And the fact that they say she's so relatable to all women says that they think everyone else is too so why try to fix things. Its just how the world is. If you live in a world where you are perpetually miserable and lonely, and you cannot self reflect long enough to realize that maybe the common denominator in all your relationships is you, no wonder you grab on to vapid concepts like "the patriarchy" to blame all your problems on.
That seems to be the pattern. She makes many bad choices all throughout the series and ALWAYS it's someone else's fault. She never reflects for even a second about how she might have contributed or what agency she has in these things.
This is why they (feminist) hate the word slu** because it's exactly what most of them are. The feminist movement (the new age) does nothing but encourages bad behavior in women, and when the consequences arise, feminists are left pointing the blame only at who they slept with.
So, Peter Parker dealt with his identity getting revealed and people literally calling for his blood by being accused of being a murderer, his friends getting rejected from any schools, all that very maturely not lashing out at anyone, trying to act like normal, and then trying to solve the issue so as to keep people safe by hiding his identity once more, and then upon accidentally causing the multiversal trespassers to appear, and Aunt may dying owned up to his actions and continued to try and fix things for everyone, even curing the villains, and then selflessly let everyone forget him to save the world, at only around 17.Meanwhile Jen gets 1 little troll video, and immediately lashes out at everything, destroys property, chases people down and assaults them even trying to kill some of them, and doesn't stop even when the police come in but immediately continues, acting like Hulk did in Johannesburg except apparently she's fully in control of herself, while she's a 40 year old women. Here's the difference between a superhero and a person who doesn't deserve any powers .One has done everything using their powers to help others and save the world several times, dying while fighting Thanos even. The other has only wanted things for herself and never helped others, and never had to struggle for doing the right thing.
But you don't understand, she's been CAT-CALLED and MANSPLAINED, that's WAY worse than anything Peter went thr- ugh, I was joking but I just threw up a little bit in my mouth, I'm sorry, I'll show myself out.
Peter has let the marvel devil torture him to save the kingpin because it was the right thing to do, Disneys she-bulk would sell her and her entire families souls for Thors private number. The tragedy of this show is that Gao has turned a great female hero into an incel talking point, and proves them right.
Jen: I hate it when men explain my own expertise to me! Daredevil: *explains how the legal system works, which should be her expertise* Jen: This guy is hot! What is even going on anymore??

It's interesting that they showed her being a better Hulk than the Hulk, after all of 5 minutes with the powers. But for her actual career, that she puts all her time and effort into, she is useless. She goes from being a Mary Sue in the first episode, to being Homer Simpson in the rest. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they weren't trying to send some message that she is amazing because she is a woman. They were just lazy and couldn't think up a better reason why she could freely transform into her Hulk form when Bruce couldn't. @@jotully In the Savage She-Hulk comic she needed anger/fear to change, just like Hulk. She later learned to control the change, and liked being She-Hulk so stayed in that form. I don't know what surprises me more, that or the fact that someone unironically thought that this was a good consumable story
Back to She-Hulk I was seriously waiting for the menstrual cycle episode, where she is bleeding green and needs Super tampons because even the heavy flow ones for normal women won't cut it.
I love going back to that scene of Matt Murdock being a normal lawyer in Defenders and I think, "man, I wonder how dumbed down they're gonna make him in She Hulk"
When that one woman at the end makes the comment about doing twice the work, I wonder how many people who watch this realized that this doesn't apply to Jen. She never does research or prep. She talks to her clients once and then shows up to court expecting to win.
And the statistics say men work more hours. So if they are required to do the same work they would jave to fit it all into less time. And that wouldn't cause any issues at all.
What's really sad is She-Hulk could have been a perfect way to introduce the X-men. They could have had Beast in jail like the old 90's cartoon and she was his lawyer, trying to get him out. It could have been the underarcing storyline while having slice of life/other cases outside it. This show really had a lot of potential that they threw out to turn into a Burn Book for the writers to work out some weird traumas.

Anna (That StarWarsGirl) pointed out that this episode wasn’t written by the main team, which is why there were a few good jokes and somewhat competent law writing. It happened to be written by a man, yes, but I think the takeaway is that literally any man or woman could do a better job than these writers.
It’s so funny you mention this - I actually checked the writers credits because it was so much better than the other episodes I thought “did someone *else* write this?”
@@nehesimazoi3776 lol agreed. Obviously there was some main team influence for the walk of shame, but I was like, “If every episode is a 3, and this was a 6, then it’s still not good, but technically two times better than all the previous episodes!”
In any normal legal show, Jen as a lawyer with a conflict of interest would have never been allowed anywhere near these cases, but then again, this is She-Hulk. And so far, just like most current day Hollywood, feels just like the writers excuse to use the shows and movies as a therapy session.
Yeah well they used conflict of interest 3 times at this point, because apparently all the court scenes need to be about jen...and how shit she is at being a lawyer that they got a better lawyer (still shit) to represent her.
I love how the writers keep proving that they have no idea how anything works at all: You can’t just sign a waver to get around conflict of interest because no one in the history of humanity could ever be trusted not to be biased when they have a stake in a certain outcome. Judges cant just hold up a piece of paper that says they’ll be fair in a case when they have a coi, they have to recuse them self and get another different judge (in some extreme cases a judge from another state) to sit in on the case. It’s maddening how these stupid bints are attempting to attack the blanket concept of “male privilege” but, through their failure to get simple facts of the real world right, show at every turn the privileged bubble that they have lived in their entire professional lives. Actual talented writers who were also She-Hulk fans would have been turned away from this project because the bigots in charge only wanted the right _kind_ of person working on this show.
To be fair they seem to only have one or two judges in all the cases. They were like get us a black guy, or get us a woman, because the rest of people can't reflect the real world and be judges.
TBF to the writers the waiver doesnt mean that the person promises to be fair and unbiased its a written record that the client knows of the conflict of interest and is willing to use this lawyer regardless. Meaning that, if the case goes against them, the lawyers bias cant be the reason for an appeal or for suing the law firm for malpractice.
i like how we hate the court scenes so much, we tend to forget that another court scene where she did perfectly fine represent her client that she had a conflict of interest for...did the writers forget about this or am i dreaming? But sure as shit not going back to watch it.

Love the 360 the show managed to pull from "public figures don't have a right to privacy" to "our main character had her privacy violated OMG"
All in the SAME episode
Maybe that's the writers' idea of a "character arc".
At first she didn't believe public figures should have a right to privacy. And then she has her privacy violated, and has a change of heart.
...That or I put way more thought into it than the writers did.
@@TheStonedZonethat just points out how much of a massive hypocrite she is. “Other people can suffer a lack of basic human decency and have their rights violated, it’s their fault for being public figures (very similar to “her skirt is too short, she’s basically asking for it)”)-oh no! It’s happening to me now! This is a horrible travesty and everyone doing it to me is a dumb, sexist man baby!”
@TheStonedZone Yeah, dude, you put way too much thought into this because the writers didn't think about it at all.

Most of society has clearly given their privacy away for convenience, so unless you can refute my points, then STFU, I am here for discourse, not insults.
I kinda noticed that too. If I didn’t know any better, her argument was a foreshadow. But I think they just wrote those two plot points separately with out realizing it.
Bloody Hell, Disparu. You've gone through more costume changes than Queen Amidala in The Phantom Menace.
I think it was just to show the audience he could smell it, essentially it’s a visual cue
And it is really, really silly (but not a funny silly).
The sniffing comes off like someone waved a plate of freshly baked cookies under Matt's nose.

They admitted that they were trying to make the cheapest decisions.
'Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law' was legit more legally literate than this show.

Spider-Man is a true hero. Hulk is a true Hero. She Hulk isn't.
Wow I forgot the MCU did this plot already and in a much better way.

It took 8 pain staking episodes for she hulk to get advice from one of the most badass hero’s, telling her how to do what she should have been doing since the first maybe 2nd episode.
But why is she listening to him, when Bruce basically told her the same thing in the first episode and she dismissed it?
@@jotully cause she didn't want to gargle Bruce's baby gravy. Also I think because Bruce was implying she had to be a super hero and only a super hero and she didn't have a choice in the matter while matt said she can do both but it's ultimately her decision.

She hulk has no intentions on being an actual super hero or a hero in general
Jen is super bad at being an attorney and super dislikes being an attorney. No wonder she immediately rejected being a super hero.
I’ve met public defenders who could have written a better court room dramedy.
Speaking of which, doesn't she need to be angry or afraid to be in the Hulk form? Or did I misunderstand that? If she does, then is she walking around work all day angry/scared?
@@jotully In the Savage She-Hulk comic she needed anger/fear to change, just like Hulk. She later learned to control the change, and liked being She-Hulk so stayed in that form.
And that wouldn't cause any issues at all.
so much for “I control my anger infinitely more than you” at the end.
Either that was the point the writers have been trying to make, or they just forgot about it occasionally throughout the show. either way its stupid.
So you're saying she didn't have a good reason to get angry that a bunch of pathetic internet trolls ruined her life?
What's really sad is She-Hulk could have been a perfect way to introduce the X-men. They could have had Beast in jail like the old 90's cartoon and she was his lawyer, trying to get him out. It could have been the underarcing storyline while having slice of life/other cases outside it. This show really had a lot of potential that they threw out to turn into a Burn Book for the writers to work out some weird traumas.

In any normal legal show, Jen as a lawyer with a conflict of interest would have never been allowed anywhere near these cases, but then again, this is She-Hulk. And so far, just like most current day Hollywood, feels just like the writers excuse to use the shows and movies as a therapy session.
Yup😊
Yeah well they used conflict of interest 3 times at this point, because apparently all the court scenes need to be about jen...and how shit she is at being a lawyer that they got a better lawyer (still shit) to represent her.
22:20 “She-Hulk outs herself as a bigot”
Strange, I thought she did that every episode.
Pretty much
I love how the writers keep proving that they have no idea how anything works at all: You can’t just sign a waver to get around conflict of interest because no one in the history of humanity could ever be trusted not to be biased when they have a stake in a certain outcome.
The writer of this episode was a guy, not their regular writers. Which should have been obvious, because parts were almost funny.
i like how we hate the court scenes so much, we tend to forget that another court scene where she did perfectly fine represent her client that she had a conflict of interest for...did the writers forget about this or am i dreaming? But sure as shit not going back to watch it.

The fact that the guards didn't have guns literally made me laugh harder than any joke in the series 🤣🤣
Jen: Remind me again who has the super powers again?
Disparu: That would be both of you. Unless you are under the impression that all blind people can actually see by sound bouncing of the walls... Seriously, she is so stupid that she might!
FML i can't stop laughing. This is indeed a comedy 🤣
Is that a She-Hulk shirt from the show?? F in the chat for the money you spent on that, but applause for the dedication: She-Hulk's biggest season 2 supporter 😂
Probably got it on clearance.

All I can think about while watching your review was thinking how fantastic the Daredevil and punisher rooftop conversations were. They were deep they were thoughtful they were fantastically written. Now we got this. Oh Daredevil my boy what if they done with you.
8:54 she-hulk bumping into the door looks like a video game character walking into a wall
"There is no inherent right to privacy."
I did a double take.
12:00 And remember this is also in the US, which has that pesky constitution. One which pretty overtly speaks about people being secure in their persons, papers and effects.
This was easily the best episode of the series, Matt Murdock's charm and humour carried all the way.
I thought it leaned too heavily on the humor. Matt would crack a joke every now and then but here, the guy’s constantly smiling like a drunk frat boy.
@@Aaron-zt5ee best humor in the show tbf. I smiled in every scene he was in
@@Aaron-zt5ee Oh no Daredevil smiled, his character is ruined!! He told jokes in the Netflix series mostly in non serious situations, he wasn't really dealing with anything serious in the episode, just goons that are protecting a dude named "Leapfrog" you really think he's gonna take that seriously
@@Cruddzoy Yeah, nothing serious, just fighting an invincible monster and then a bunch of mercenaries...
Still they couldn't write Matt Murdock properly. He gives up his identity, mistakes in law knowledge and fails the stells mission.
I like how you've dropped more and more of the quote lol. By the season finale, it'll just be "none of us are that adept"
“I deserve JUSTICE.”
WE deserve an entertaining show.
Life doesn’t always give us what we deserve, does it?
8:35. And THERE’S the O-face. A nightmare that will haunt me so long as I have memory…
"Reality is often disappointing..."
Your brutality had me in stitches! "Must be quite difficult to see when you're all the way down there on your knees." "Just cause you've had more men go through you than the channel tunnel" Pffffft HAHAHAHAHA I'm dying.
"I'm great at controlling my anger, because I do it infinitely more than you!" Sure, Jen... Sure.
Luke and Matt are the ONLY people who got GENUINE laughs out of me in this show😂. Its what happens when humor is bounced off GOOD characters.
Damn I PRAY we get more of this in EP 9...but they seem to have gone back to status quo with that cliffhanger where everything just feels underwhelming cause you dont CARE for these characters AT ALL.
It took Daredevil coming in LAST minute to teach Jen DECENCY and all it took was ONE speech😭🤦♂️
Wong made me laugh a bit too. But the actress playing Jen just isn't funny, nor is anyone else on the show.
@Chris Collins Truly funny Women actresses are very rare, because comedy comes from pain that Men go through while growing up, when Women usually receive praise and attention when growing up.
I feel like Charlie Cox is doing the best with what he has but I hate seeing him in this, especially after watching the Netflix Daredevil trilogy
@@creepyrobsta5509 Ok, slow down there. We can comment on what makes someone funny or not without the influence of genders, alright?
@@creepyrobsta5509 it’s hard to describe what makes people funny. There’s factors from inflection, content, the flow of the story, the twists and turns of the content, and everything has to mix together in the perfect way to make people laugh. It’s something you can’t consistently expect to get right, that’s why corporate made comedies fail more often than not, while a good stand up comedian can make you throw up from laughing so hard.
(10:00 to 14:30) Wow (Female) Lawyer of the Year material right there folks. 👏 Never has "We quickly realised we can not write ..." been more apt.
Tailors, correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t it be easy enough for any tailor to make clothes for humans of practically any size? Like, I thought the reason very large people need tailors is because companies don’t mass produce clothes their size, not because it’s inherently difficult.
I'm not a tailer, but I've made custom costumes from scratch. Yea, you can make anything for anyone with the right measurements. Such a non issue for any tailer idk why it's that big of deal
It would require some setup if you were gonna do any real production for them, but yes it's entirely because of the amount they will make that it would cost more, but the only thing about his business would realistically be that he is the leader of the super suit industry, but then she'd only need him for suits that she plans on fighting in
I suspect that the reason she needs a super-tailor is because she wants clothes she can wear in BOTH forms. Which a normal tailor can't do. This is how her clothes are DEPICTED, but our terrible writers never bother to make this clear to us in any way.
Your average tailor doesn't make clothes that resize to fit you as you go from 5'3" small woman to 8' tall swole woman.
@@HerculesBallsInc what do you mean? When they first get the suites made they ask for it to be able to fit her in both forms and also shoes her picking up like 7 bags of clothes. This was the only episode I enjoyed so I'm by no means a fan it just seems like you didn't pay attention
The subtle tshirt changing through the review was awesome! 🤣🤣Enjoy your reviews SO much Disparu!!!! Keep it up, brother! Love it!
She's NOT a Hulk.
She's a below-average chick, who just wants to walk around in green make-up, so she can finally be noticed.
I mean Leapfrog is a D List hero made from a D list Villain. His dad was Frogman a Daredevil villain and Leapfrog in the comics tried to make up for his dad's mistakes
Thats too much back story and deep lore in she hulk, just say hes a rich kid and lets move on shall we, thats another cameo out of the bag, next one please.
I have never seen one episode, but I have seen every review through this channel and honestly I’m very entertained.
Thank you for not giving them anymore views, we need this shit to end, and the only way it will is if the numbers talk.
@@scotttimbrell8632 yeah, I had Disney + for 6 months and the only reason is because it came with my phone plan. All I watched were the good marvel movies before they went woke, and a few older Pixar and Disney movies. The only new things I watched were The Mandolorian and Wanda Vision which were OK but not great. At the end of that 6 month plan I just found myself rewatching things I’ve already seen before and did not see any reason to keep it going. I already have Spider-Man 2 and Infinity War on DVD which in my opinion are the 2 best superhero movies ever made.
Character assassination: the 21st century's poisoning. Yeah , having the villain be a man that does THIS to defeat the protagonist is DEFINITELY a reflection of the writer's limited imagination.
Yeah, why create complicated master plans when you can just call the "hero" a slut.
they didint even ruin daredevil hes like this in the netflix show
@camron bradley Funny, because I never rembered Daredevil doing the walk of shame on his netflix show.
@@thecoolcamkid Bullshit.
@@creepyrobsta5509 his character remains completley the same he has ONE! comedy scene IN A COMEDY SHOW! and you say hes ruined
Best episode in the series so far. I totally predicted this happening (not a pat on the back it’s not that hard…) and it just makes it SOOO much better when you remember that Jen said to Bruce that she handles her anger “Infinitely more than” him. All it took was for someone to go “Aye yo she slept with every man on the block” WHICH WAS TRUE WITH EVIDENCE and she lost it in front of a crowd😂😂😂 Poetic Justice is just… mwah. Oh but the rest of the episode was straight horse meat don’t watch it.
When you find yourself rooting for Daredevil to kick Jen s ass in court, you know the lead character of your show is messed up.
Too funny! I'm hoping for a 2nd season, so I can watch you roast it some more! All the She-hulk shirts was a nice touch!
“Or Jen will start stinking of fish…”
I freaking lost it.
Sigh.
Trust your instincts. This is great stuff
My boy... Look at how they massacred my boy!😢
Diggin' all the wardrobe changes, Disparu!
Did this show really come up with an Edna Mode character. Should’ve had him yelling about “no capes”.
lol, her throwing the car was hilarious. What was the end game there? Smash random property as the best case outcome, flatten the guy into a puddle as the likely outcome?
"I'm iN cOntrOl at alL tiMes!"

She-Hulk has tried to murder about a dozen people in the series so far. Often while insisting she's in full control trying to murder them.
@@HerculesBallsInc I mean she forsure crushed those goons in the hallway when she smashed through solid concrete and landed on top of them crushing them beneath her weight and the rubble.
I’ve been waiting for this all week!
Its like the writers called out Hollywood at the end and didn't even realise it where all the women had essentially a worthless award...and they all matched a different racial demographic😂🤔
I would LIKE to say that was intentional...but with these writers idk even though this episodes is WAAAAY better than the others cause the characters are written like actual people
Apparently, it was written by a man. Who knew if someone wrote based on talent, and not what's between their legs, that a half-decent episode would come together.
“That would require you have any ethics!” 😂😂. We need a counter for how many times disparu roasts the characters
Like cinema sins
the sad thing is any father who would want to show his daughter an example of a strong female superhero would see this show as the opposite. i would assume because honestly with the writing over the last decade, some people are far too gone
