Without the pack it's really reminiscent of older building in Minecraft. Looks like the type of building you might have seen 5 years ago, very nostalgic.

it's not a matter which one is better, the matter is HOW you constructed your world, depending on the textures and presence of shaders u might choose different blocks and composition to make the buildings look better, for example the leaves u said that they look more empty , maybe if u used vanilla textures u might have made the tree leaves thiccer. So neither options are the best just a matter of how you use those textures and personal preference

Before anyone goes to say your builds only look good with the resource pack+shaders they should take a moment to think that they were designed with those things in mind, the lack of leaf transparency on the tree for example. Love the series! I have been playing with barebones lately.
This series reminds me of the old classic Minecraft playthroughs, no crazy mods or automized farms, just how most casual people play the game, but modernized so it's not super long and boring I like it, I get nostalgic watching it.

For those who claim that a build's appeal hinges solely on a specific resource pack, I would say: you're partially correct. If you're constructing something for a public multiplayer server, such as a minigame server, it's reasonable to anticipate that very few will experience your creation with the same resource pack. Even then, it shouldn't pose an issue unless you hold an official builder role, in which case your goal is to craft something visually striking for the majority of players using the default resource pack. However, in all other instances-especially within the confines of your single-player world-it shouldn't make any difference.
The house looks better with the resource pack on, but the massive stone arch bridge and the giant custom tree took on a whole different life with default textures. Really great builds all around!

I think that your world looks great either way. As a bedrock player, I don't get to have any awesome shaders, so I'm sort of jealous because shaders can make any build (even my crapy ones) look good.
it's not that it makes any build in particular look good. It just makes the game look good in general. Vanilla lighting is super flat and we're probably overdue for a lighting engine update.
I really love your builds and I think they look great with the mod packs or without. Whoever's giving you crap about your builds only looking good because of the shaders is a jerk/are jerks. Don't let them get you down man, you're awesome.)
You've also got to bare in mind the fact that you'd be using different blocks if you started the world without the resource pack. So if you then changed to your current one then the world would look equally as weird
this just popped up on my reccomended and its so cool! such a unique style of playing! i definately am gonna give the series a watch! the shaders with the rp and the sounds just make it such a cool, full way of playing! kudos! if i may ask;; what is the mod/rp you use to do the sounds? like the footsteps on different materials and such
Might be a hot take but minecraft should look like this by default. Feels like an actual game, without it all it still feels like a barebones unfinished game.
I know plenty of people that design resource packs specifically for their own build projects, then comment on other people using resource packs like this while building. Makes no sense, I think if you're build is meant to be viewed with a resource pack on, that's completely fine. Honestly got no clue why people take issue with that, it's not like resource packs make it easier to build stuff.
The barebones pack is definitely amazing, if it just had the slightly transparent leaves it would be perfect! Also does anyone know the pack that he uses for the sounds? The sounds are just amazing
The shaders help a lot to create a nice comfy atmosphere! I personally loved your buildings and the texture too! Of course it changes a lot and that is the point, and all together looks very lovely. I use a similar texture; it's more in a cartoon vibe, without shaders (i would probably just teleport if i use shaders). The texture changes the way you look at the game - literally - and gives us more things to look for, and I just love how people are creating more and more simple things to this game. Thank you for the video!! s2
The same "crunchy" feeling I felt way back in 2011 when switching to vanilla after having used splotchblock for such a long time (which had a very similar style to the microsoft one)
The resource pack I use adds more pixels to everything so the rest of the game matches the banners. This means that my decorative shield looks exactly like it's banner counter part. Because I've gotten so used to the detail, I'm almost shocked by how "blurry" vanilla looks by comparison.
I use a standalone texture pack that's only feature is making banner shields match 1 to 1 to matching banner; the name of the pack misses my mind at the moment but it shouldn't be a hard Google to those who are interested in it.
I love it, with and without the resource pack, id love to play in your world with both, with and without resource pack, and with RTX I bet it’d look beautiful
I think one of the great things about Minecraft are the variety of texture packs you can apply to your game. I think for your world the way you designed it it looks really good with the texture packs applied. I think that's what makes your world unique is the lens through which you view it.

You've also got to bare in mind the fact that you'd be using different blocks if you started the world without the resource pack. So if you then changed to your current one then the world would look equally as weird
this just popped up on my reccomended and its so cool! such a unique style of playing! i definately am gonna give the series a watch! the shaders with the rp and the sounds just make it such a cool, full way of playing! kudos! if i may ask;; what is the mod/rp you use to do the sounds? like the footsteps on different materials and such
has been a moment but did you find it out?
@Ratozii no I didn't unfortunately
@@Gl1tXh- presence footsteps if you're still looking
The secret door is so cool
Might be a hot take but minecraft should look like this by default. Feels like an actual game, without it all it still feels like a barebones unfinished game.
Keep it as it was. Barebones and shaders are THE BEST mate
6:50 you just said "I will never use copper to my roof"? IM GONNA KILL YOU IF YOU DARE TO SAY THAT ONE MORE TIME! COPPER IS THE BEST BLOCK EVER!

lol
That roof looks like corn beef hash
it was like an cartoony style but became an game from microsoft store
0:36 It seems like some people forgot to do there year dosed of touching grass.

U remind me of Dantdm and ur vids feel really comfortable idk how to describe it
The barebones pack is definitely amazing, if it just had the slightly transparent leaves it would be perfect! Also does anyone know the pack that he uses for the sounds? The sounds are just amazing
Another commenter said "presence footsteps"
@@v0id_d3m0n tysm mate
To have matching transparent leaves, Bare Bones Flux Enhanced gives Bare Bones leaves a less opaque texture similar of vanilla.
@@NevilsicoShard Thank you very much!
I prefer the Barebones look. The atmosphere is so much cozier. Also, what sound enhancements are you using? I love the echoing effect.
I think its presence footsteps
@Antonio Negrea Thanks. I've been trying to figure it out and haven't had much luck!
@@SemperProtogens Np!
the sound physics mod are doing the echoing effect
And dynamic surroundings i think@@antonionegrea3554
Playing minecraft as it looks like the trailers is insanity
I pray for this mans GPU
The oak door got some good looking abs! 😂😂
I love it, with and without the resource pack, id love to play in your world with both, with and without resource pack, and with RTX I bet it’d look beautiful
you should add the far horizons mod to that word, it would suit the barebones look quite well! (if you want to)
I think one of the great things about Minecraft are the variety of texture packs you can apply to your game. I think for your world the way you designed it it looks really good with the texture packs applied. I think that's what makes your world unique is the lens through which you view it.
9:10 ah.. I see it, you didn't add building supports huh.. 🤭
Ok, maybe this is the resource pack I was trying to find.. Just a version with more grass and leaf details
Are you considering to share your modlist? I like the sounds you have for walking etc
@enrique amaya man you bot accounts start to really piss me off.
i love ur reactions to the vanilla textures, i love this video
i think id prefer the vanilla, helps to know what you are holding and seeing
When you switched the shaders off it vividly reminded me of an old minecraft roleplay series for some reason.
