A SAO game that is actually based on the SAO concept would be nice . . . Character Creation, open world, skill tree, loot / weapon hunting . All this other stuff is just lame

Try MMO's. If not you could try the other SAO games which are pretty similar to what you're looking for. The closest game to straight up playing SAO is probably hollow realization but it's a single player confusing MMO styled game that isn't everyone's cup of tea. My favorite SAO games are Re: Hollow fragment and fatal bullet but it's mostly out of bias but if you're interested in SAO I recommend checking them out. Have not played lost song.
@@JustJRF well even smash Bros for the N64 has player 2-4 colours and later games have alternate costumes. There's definitely room to customize with existing characters.
Ok so a couple of tips: 1. Instead of destroying the portals you leave them up and kill the enemies they spawn for levels and increased hp/atk. 2. Each class is not set in stone. In the official release there will be the 6 classes, however there will be multiple different characters in each class that have been confirmed to play different ( ie Asuna should be speed incarnate whilst silica would probably summon pina ). 3. The kobold boss is weak to lightning element, so use lightning weapons to deal tonnes of damage to the boss and a few enemies along the way. 4. Play the way you want if you want 0 dmg but beefy tankiness do it, if you wanna be a glass cannon do it.
I wish they'd make another sao where we get to make our own character and it isn't just "the kirito show with his women" that's what i enjoyed fatal bullet for the most

This game should have a character creation class base MMORPG. This game is amazing already. Players dont want to see a bunch of kirito or other character in a raid. if that is the game they going to make, they can really call it Sword art online.
I like the fact you have the option to use Bots. Yes they are not good but the fight can be done with them. All that tells me is that it is possible to do solo stuff and not have to rely on a full party but it will always be better to do things with players... At least this is what came to mind for me. Correct me if I am wrong.

All we’ve been asking for is a mmo simlar to the show , action rpgmmo , multiple jobs/specializations that aren’t all combat related , unique/special/holiday item drops limited availability . Combat simlar to the show , user interface etc they’ve made 12 of these single player /co op why haven’t they even tried to do a live mmo

Crossplay isn't broken, only xbox and playstation was crossplay day one and later throughout the days they will make it where all platforms can play together, so day one was console test but we could still add each other, thats what I figured out and they announced on twitter for the SAO beta

It's an online only game with a battle pass, even worse than Fatal Bullet or even Ali.
I stand by, even though I know a lot of people will disagree, that every SAO Game has been good. None of them are the anywhere near the best game of that year(probably not even the best one in the month they release), but they are all content packed, have decent-good gameplay(does get repetitive usually by the last 1/3 of the game), and have interesting alternate versions of the official story. They could definitely be better, but for what they are they are good.

It looks good, but if it's only missions in multi player, then i'll pass this game. I like SAO games for the story, farming, etc. I like raids, so i like multiplayer, but i usually play about 99% solo, if not more
On the 11th ( in Australia and EU ) and goes to the 17th. Friday, Saturday and Sunday it should be up for the weekend ( again Australian times ) with only a 4 - 5 hour maintenance in between each day
If the game lets me play solo on Playstation without ps plus then ill consider eventually getting it but this definitely seems like a multiplayer focused game that will probably require ps plus, in which case ill definitely be passing on the game, which is a huge disappointment, im definitely a solo player and i dont pay for ps plus because its a waste of money for someone like me, havent played a SAO game since i played AL on the ps4 pro back in 2021, will probably grab LR for the ps5 sometime this year, that game is more up my alley i think and the performance is looking much better than AL
Hearing the guys that made fatal bullet went with this design is disappointing. Game could have been a really expansive CAC experience with multiple play styles jumbled together. Instead its a poor mans modern overwatch esc raid battle sim with SAO characters
Theres a player, character level and a lobby level. Ex: My player level is 15, my Leafa's level is 16, but my lobby level is set a 1 evey game and goes up to ~25. Player level allows you to unlock weapons of that level, and character level increases stats and helps unlock passives
Played the new one and it is great in my opinion seems like they took the good parts of multiple games and put it together only they got to make sure is that they keep content coming like xenoverse does u know what I mean

This is what i somewhat hoped for Solo leveling game but instead we got a cash grab gotcha game that runs so bad on mobile and even pc

if your level resets each mission, how's the character progression? is there no permanent way to make your character stronger?
