i'm really liking how they're having the landscapes from Ordinal Scale, ALO, FB, Alicization, and what seems to be a revision of the landscapes from Hollow Realization. it really is gonna make this game extra fun.
The does combat feels stiff for example, using Kirito basic attacks doesn't move him forward so most attack misses even up close. The only way I was reliably using him was spamming his Heavy charged attack that dashes towards the enemy and then I attack. Also I did get a legendry weapon that changes the character's skill, it was for Fukaziroh that allow her spam her skill jump attack 2 more time. It was pretty significant damage increase since it essentially triple the skill usage. Can't to see the other character legendry weapons effects. Overall, I can't wait for the game release and for the beta I give it 7/10, it was enjoyable.
Game is fun but... unfortunately not going to buy it on launch just because of the DLCs.. bandai has been getting greedy recently so I have lost my trust with them. I'll wait when the game is $20
@@SirStrikeFreedom That was my biggest gripe for me in Fatal Bullet playing through the Story Mode and just in general with the interactions with the characters feeling so artificial and forced.
Doesn’t matter when your own character doesn’t speak the language you speak. Having my created character not speak English was really annoying and it drew me out of the game. It made me skip the dialogue because there just wasn’t a point
@@DarthJynx115 okay that's just nitpicking. Don't play JRPGs if you aren't prepared to hear some manner of Japanese. Most JRPGs these days only have Japanese as a VA option to save costs for localization.
Tried the network test over the weekend, it was pretty fun for the mere 5hours that i played. However, the game has significant problems in its core gameplay system. Skills have generally poor feedback, atks dont feel rewarding, skill animations are just mediocre by current game standards. During the playtest, there are only 20man raids in which you start off in a zone in a party of 4. Players would proceed to clear some mobs and objectives in a rather linear path then unlock a portal which brings you to the boss room. The boss fight resembles a lot like blue protocol's boss fight for people who have tried out BP. The layout of zones are rather generic and boring, graphics of this SAO game arent even comparable to that of blue protocol. I have about 100hrs in SAO fatal bullet but fatal bullet was ahead of its time and also it had unique gameplay experience back when it was released. This game just gives me vibes of a blue protocol reskin with SAO characters and 20 man raid bosses feel like low skill, generic loot pinatas. By current game standards, i think this game is more suitable for SAO/anime fans, the boss fights had a lack of depth and 20man raids would undoubtedly just lead to matchmaking problems once the hype dies after the game's initial release. I sincerely hope that this game would have more to offer upon release but we'll have to see when oct comes.
Tried it on a whim with friends, went into it expecting basically nothing since non of use knew the game even existed until we saw it randomly on Steam. We were all pleasantly surprised, putting 4 hours into it without even noticing. Definitely getting it. It kinda feels like Relink to me, which is good. Also glad to see the devs already have a roadmap and have plans to support the game and keep players engaged. Relink was great, but it fell off extremely hard after the first month because they devs had 0 things planned for it after the first 2 patches and the end-game was almost non existent (just kill the same boss dozens of times while praying to get the weapon you wanted).
it kinda feels like Relink but nowhere near as good, SAO game's combat either feels floaty or stiff, they can never get the feel right, Relink's combat was smooth and fluid, in SAO, the movement feels clunky and the lack of animation cancel with dash makes it feel even stiffer. even Genshin impact, a free to play mobile game has smoother combat than this, which is a shame since i like SAO and wanted to play a new SAO game.

although i do have an issue with BP in paid games, i have never had an issue with paid DLC, because frankly content should not be made free, BUT ONLY if the game was a full release like back in the day with call of duty games, where maps were 2 dollar paid dlc, but you still recicved a full product when you bought a game, so as long as the story is 20-40 hours and the multiplayer has a wide array of maps and boss fights, then i dont see a problem with paid dlc, now i hate battle passes in my paid games so fucking much

I was excited but the Beta Test killed it. Story is probably going to be a one and done and the gameplay was not fun at all for me compared to LOST SONG and FATAL BULLET. It's way too online focused! If reviews come out and are "Offline has all the online content but made with soloers in mind" then my bad I'll go buy it now but until then pass. What was my final nail was a team CANNOT HAVE REPEATS! This means with randos it's a race to select your favorite! By race I mean connection and loading speeds because you are set first on your favorite by default. I was so excited for this as well 😢

All i wanted was a new hollow realization like title. I hate that this game is online focused so damn much that i dont even know what the single player even looks like.
Seeing "Paid Store" in that roadmap leads me to believe that we will be seeing microtransactions in the game, which has me worried about battle passes and cosmetics having a "Pay To Win" or "Pay To Obtain" mechanic. If that is not the case at all then great, but we can only hope that DIMPS is not money hungry like all of these other triple A game companies.
Considering that in the official trailer they mentioned that certained costumes will give you access to different skills and ultimates that could be the case that the best ones will be pay to win
DIMPS is 100% money hungry. They tripled the recently released Xenoverse 2 DLC and recently added another premium currency ON TOP OF the already existing one.
Just tried out the beta. Was hoping for combat to be smooth like Granblue Fantasy Relink or Tales of Arise. Kinda disappointed, hopefully the game will get better after some time.
i was teh saem at first but when u get the curve its get smooth and some chars are just clunky but i notice some server problem with some delays maybe thats the reason idk
Glad to see you're back at it but man hearing the new game's going to be a season pass microtransaction etc etc deal like everything else just makes me lose the little enthusiasm I have for the game. I'm interested to see how it pans out, at least base game wise but I'm not looking for a grindfest, just a solid RPG of sorts I guess. Time will tell I guess.
Perfect that it’s moving away from single player oriented stuff it’s better more online focused. Relink did it and it worked SAO is going to pass with flying colors these are characters we love. Don’t get me wrong I’m going to miss creating my placeholder for Kirito(custom character) but this is for the best plus they allow for personalization folks. I hope they don’t do what Cygames did and quit with a formula like this that could work for years to come

I did keep an eye on the ones before and Fatal Bullet is still on my steam wishlist. Some ONT impressions: Looks very dated, guns are really underwhelming + low range, Lock on system is garbage, Loot system is confusing and unsatisfying, camera is really clunky, bosses and mobs are really hard to see through all the effects, areas were just done lazily. Now I wish there would be some positives, but fatal bullet with all it's flaws was way more enjoyable, this is just very bland. Live service doesn't make sense, when asking for 60$ + SAO games age like milk.
Playing the beta rn on my switch it’s pretty fun and seems to be leaning what I’ve been wanting from an sao game action oriented jmmorpg it is feeling like it just hope the zones/areas have verity and different enemy classes and not just elemental changes I am gonna buy it for my ps5 tho I don’t see many people buying it for switch unless it’s crossplay but i doubt it only thing is it sucks that it’s coming out in October I’d say wait till December but it’s already set for the 5th reason being sparking zero is on the 11th and bo6 on the 25th

@Primo1her The characters are separate DLC and included in the Season Pass. Cash shops usually contain other stuff like skins. But they can also contain early unlocks, leveling boosts, skips, op weapons, upgrade materials, etc. They said no lootboxes. So no random gambling on gacha. But they could still put weapon packs or other scummy stuff in the cash shop to destroy the game balance and make it pay for power or faster progression. Which would suck.

Game looks pretty decent, but I can't justify spending $70+ in it's current state. I'll probably wait for a sale, especially since it seems alot of characters will be DLC locked.
I want to be hopeful and not be a downer. But bandai don't give me the confidence. 1. All the system shown in beta tell me that people will get tired of the gameplay real quick. 2. Lack of diversity in repeat content. ( Like the content follow the same script over and over) ( Like same map has different time, different monster or different objective) 3. Bandai make stupid decision on cash shop. ( Not saying cash shop = bad. Just that too greedy on cash shop without give player freebie or too many dlc only stuff) 4. Combat don't have any substance. Like new dlc heros will be always the meta and boss is too overtune. Weaker heros gonna be phase out Player base will drop like files
Oof, I don't like that all additional new characters and gear drops will seemingly be paid DLC Hopefully these 'seasons' will have trials for the characters. And on top of that, I hope characters are either individually cheap or come in a Smash Bros esque pass with multiple characters

After the Tutorial i already deleted the Game. This Button Delay feels abysmal and this is only Singleplayer not even Online. Bamco never cared about good Netcode in their SAO Games even high prised Fatal Bullet felt Janky AF in their Online Mode this is even worse. And with the big push toward Liveservice i will definitely wont play it cause i already know Game will be Dead before Season 2 Starts.

Wish all modes can be played solo with ai and not relied on internet connection like the old games. Hopeful gonna be patched in the future

I did keep an eye on the ones before and Fatal Bullet is still on my steam wishlist. This beta was fun, but I both don't have money to spend on top of having other (higher) priorities when it comes to buying games anyhow if I did

Some ONT impressions: Looks very dated, guns are really underwhelming + low range, Lock on system is garbage, Loot system is confusing and unsatisfying, camera is really clunky, bosses and mobs are really hard to see through all the effects, areas were just done lazily. Now I wish there would be some positives, but fatal bullet with all it's flaws was way more enjoyable, this is just very bland. Live service doesn't make sense, when asking for 60$ + SAO games age like milk.
Any idea what the Worlds Beyond DLCs are? Besides the included characters, or is that all it is?

Playing the beta rn on my switch it’s pretty fun and seems to be leaning what I’ve been wanting from an sao game action oriented jmmorpg it is feeling like it just hope the zones/areas have verity and different enemy classes and not just elemental changes I am gonna buy it for my ps5 tho I don’t see many people buying it for switch unless it’s crossplay but i doubt it only thing is it sucks that it’s coming out in October I’d say wait till December but it’s already set for the 5th reason being sparking zero is on the 11th and bo6 on the 25th
to my knowledge it has crossplay

I think the game is looking pretty cool. But it always concerns me when they put a cash shop in a buy to play game. Hopefully it's just cosmetics and nothing pay 2 win.
i mean it is pay for dlc chars idk what u understand under p2w but i dont think this will happend u most likely get some customes and dlc chars in the shop
@Primo1her The characters are separate DLC and included in the Season Pass. Cash shops usually contain other stuff like skins. But they can also contain early unlocks, leveling boosts, skips, op weapons, upgrade materials, etc. They said no lootboxes. So no random gambling on gacha. But they could still put weapon packs or other scummy stuff in the cash shop to destroy the game balance and make it pay for power or faster progression. Which would suck.

Game looks pretty decent, but I can't justify spending $70+ in it's current state. I'll probably wait for a sale, especially since it seems alot of characters will be DLC locked.
I want to be hopeful and not be a downer. But bandai don't give me the confidence.
1. All the system shown in beta tell me that people will get tired of the gameplay real quick.
2. Lack of diversity in repeat content. ( Like the content follow the same script over and over) ( Like same map has different time, different monster or different objective)
3. Bandai make stupid decision on cash shop. ( Not saying cash shop = bad. Just that too greedy on cash shop without give player freebie or too many dlc only stuff)
4. Combat don't have any substance. Like new dlc heros will be always the meta and boss is too overtune. Weaker heros gonna be phase out

Hopefully these 'seasons' will have trials for the characters. And on top of that, I hope characters are either individually cheap or come in a Smash Bros esque pass with multiple characters
where did u see that gear drop will be paid dlc? and a char as dlc is normal and who know maybe it like Granblue where we still can unlock them with tone of ingame currency

After the Tutorial i already deleted the Game. This Button Delay feels abysmal and this is only Singleplayer not even Online. Bamco never cared about good Netcode in their SAO Games even high prised Fatal Bullet felt Janky AF in their Online Mode this is even worse. And with the big push toward Liveservice i will definitely wont play it cause i already know Game will be Dead before Season 2 Starts.

Is this game has SSC system? I miss it so much :( Since Hollow Realization, I'm waiting for a full SSC based game with hundereds of buffs. It was a great system, I wonder why they abonden it
Kinda losing hope here. Its a fullfledged servicegame isnt it? The gameplay looks slick and I was hoping for a grindy hr Single Player experience but at this point i think its best to resign this thought and simply reinstall hollow realization 😅
