Nice video. I saw you are using the buffalo herbicide. We have a new laid lawn (5 weeks old) with broad leaf weeds coming up in between the lines. Is that safe to use now or whats the best treatment? Cheers.
@@farmingseasonsphotographya5794 Thanks. It is for established turf. Is 5 weeks established? Probably not long enough considering this time of year however what I'd suggest you do is try it out on a small area and see if you can get away with it. If it doesn't affect your turf you should be good. Nothing worse tan dealing with weeds early in a laid turf's life.
Just on fertiliser. Have tried most - and many are not great for Sir Walter. We found that "Aftergraze" is , by far, the best fertiliser for Sir Walter. Twice per year - buy in 25Kilo pack at a rural supplies outlet. The other thing we found was to buy proper garden soil for topdressing - a few dollars dearer. Most will put the appropriate fertilisers in the soil. Saves time and is effective.
Hey mate love the channel. I have buffalo lawn and wanted to know if I can thicken it up buy topdressing with rye seed? Or do I just keep spredding runners? I just moved into my new place and there are some bare spots
Good to see the swardman back in action 👍

Buffalograss isn't really meant to be walked on I thought. Isn't it a no-walk, no mow? Or does it tolerate foot traffic when mowed???
