I did it in a couple hours with the german V-990, it has the fastest torpedoes in game, on arcade they have like 150km/h speed :) BTW great video and content, you really deserve much more views on this, hope we help with the comments and everything :)
Honestly having spaded the majority of italy's coastal fleet, save for the albatross (still unlocking that rn) and the saetta (haven't bought it yet) I do agree that their torpedo is pretty lackluster, but I love their boats regardless, with the MC 490 and the Gabbiano being my favorite thus far, though early on the Gabbiano is pretty slow and crap. The Gabbiano is an absolute tank that can and will go head to head with destroyers, frigates, and gunboats; while the MC 490's dual bofors setup is exceptionally strong.
Italian boats and their weapons are great. I personally love the Albatros over Gabbiano but you will no doubt see that once you have her. the boats themselves are great, The fish just don't quite have the killing power other nations have.
While it isn't helpful to new players the Type 12 ASW Frigate HMS Blackpool F77 gets essentially a torpedo shotgun as salvo of six bidders will ruin anything at blank range if anyone wants to try it. G'day once more huh for a torpedo boat video it's saddening to leave out the old type heh like the Chidori class (I still wish for an as designed for the battery would be as mean as the BP S-boote). One should also mention new players shouldn't start blasting their guns when they make their attack runs even if the torps are loose as it'll only make those being attacked know of your presence going evasive an will return in kind devastation especially if it's a soviet corvette. I've practically completed this challenge just out of simply playing yet the masses shall struggle no doubt especially if they don't use something above average like the Pr.131.400 which I've suggested many to look into.
I'm yet to unlocks the bidders. I intend to try a torpedo shotgun. You are right stealth is the biggest factor. O ly engage your target if they threaten your life. Or you can gain an advantage by doing so. (Destroy bridge, turrets etc.)
from my experience, the Pr.206 has an extremely suggish rudder. I would describe it as anything but manueverable. The only good thing about it are the guns, hich are pretty much the best guns on any PT boat, but hen I play it, it's impossible to dodge with it like you ould ith something like the Pr.123K
The Pr 206 and pr 206 M really are amazing ships. Pre planning your manuevres is the key. The 206M is my favorite of the two having the handling of a drift car. They are possibly my most played ships.
@@CmdrTyrael the 206M is better in terms of manueverability, but it's still larger than I like. I never said they were bad, I'm just saying I prefer tge Pr.123K since it's so much smaller, faster, and turns on a dime, meaning it's nearly impossible to hit. Even more so in rough waters. Combine the speed with the 4 large depth charges, I find the 123K better at killing bluewater ships than the 206 and 206M
At first I was asking myself what is the point of playing naval coastal with the intention of torpedoing big ships and then I realized that the awards you get from taking out a ship with higher BR pays really well in SL. You have "rank does not matter", "Skill matters" and the "God mode" awards you get from sinking player ships at higher BR. I know this video was aimed more for the challenges but torpedo boats can make a decent amount of SL. Think about it, a torpedo boat tends to cost 2k SL to repair, getting the "Rank does not matter" or "Skill matters" awards will pay back any torpedo boat you lost or maybe even make you profit, no premium needed. The profits get even more insane when you take torpedo boats in the 1.0 BR since those boats tend to cost under 250 SL to repair. Couple that with sinking a 5.0-6.0 BR cruiser and you'll get the "God mode" award which I think pays out 10k SL. It doesn't matter if you get shot out of the water at that point, getting 10k SL is a massive profit.
Good content man! I had a good one the other weekend with mtb 75 In The Brit lineup went down the middle of two destroyers close to each other and depth charged them easy double kill
Back again! Having dipped my toes in Naval and quite enjoyed it with the obvious quirks I'm really grateful for your tutorials on how to take out the larger ships with stealth...seems a lot of fun...thanks for sharing some of your tactics....let's see what we can do....I only have US naval currently as much as I'm lazy to rearrange the crews but it's time to explore the other nations and see what fits.....happy floating! xD

Nowadays, it's: 1st life: sail to the ambush point and die to an skr 7. 2nd life: sail to another ambush point and die to a destroyer lock in to your spawn. 3rd life: sail to the middle and get one kill and get 16,000sl and 3rp and die to the same destroyer or skr7 who has 14 kills or die instantly 4 seconds after spawning form a attacker or a another destroyer 15km away with HE or that same fucking skr7 that's finally got to your spawn and is sitting behind your spawn waiting to farm kills. High tier Coastal feet in 2024
@KainWT yes, when playing against and targeting bluewater vessels, I run 4m. This means you can't hit coastals and some frigates. So that needs to be factored into your play. (SKR-7 can still be killed with 4m torpedos but they HAVE to hit the bow)
Trying to do the "Size Doesn't Matter' achievement. Where you have to sink 3 destroyers with a torpedo boat. It's ridiculously difficult. Could you do a tutorial on how I could cheese this?
Hi mate 🫡 is that related to a battle pass task? Or Is it a daily challenge? Also let me k ow which torpedo boats you have access to (this makes a huge difference) If you could let me know, I'll see what devious ideas I can think of
