I needed this so badly. Thank you. This was enormously helpful. I love your videos. Best one I could find on painting a white animal/feathers. I loved the bloopers too.
I just have to say how much I enjoy your videos, you’ve have obviously put a lot of effort in to learning your craft, which shows in the quality paintings you produce, it’s a fantastic thing your doing in producing these videos for people like me who are interested in painting, sharing your knowledge, techniques and passion which I’d like to thank you for as it’s appreciated 😁👍👍
It is a miracle. I don't naw English well, but i anderstand all what you say! I love you lessons, thank you very much! And please, can you make a lesson about little green perrot, budgerigar. My pet has died, i want to draw him as a keepsake. Thank you, Louise❤️
Just wanted to say thank you for all the work you put into your videos. As someone struggling with a tendency to put too much detail into paintings, I really adore and learn a lot from your way of simplifying what to include. There's a point where over working it takes away the magic of watercolor, such as the beauty of wet on wet textures, water drops, salt, granulation etc. Your work is really perfecting a balance of just enough detail and letting watercolor do it's thing :D
This is why I return to Louise's page so often. Each time I do? I pick up something new. Not only techniques but taking the time to plan your approach to the painting. I have sat back in the past, not at all pleased with what I was seeing because I rushed in.
This one is one of my favorites because it looks like a painting of my bird Kitsey! I am the lucky owner of a Cockatoo and he is such a sweet, cuddly clown. You did an amazing job as always. Stay safe Pretty Lady. Much Love and Respect from North Carolina, Stacy
Y Your videos are worth Gold. I always learn more than I did before. ....... Even when I watch them more than once. I wish there was a laughing button next to the "thumbs up".....You are a comedian. Thank you for your expertise and the giggle.
I love the way you explain your technique. I have a problem with planning a watercolor and therefore get stuck or confused in the middle of a painting or sometimes make a wrong stroke. Can you help us with sorting out the problems. Would like to see a video on this.Thanx
Perfect amount of information and detail and art examples. Love the little outtakes too. You have encouraged me to take up watercolor again. Great teaching, Louise!
I thought I had watched all the great watercolorist on you tube but just saw your videos a couple days ago. I love your work and how you explain what you do. I have been learning portraits in watercolor and have been doing commissions and keep getting pet commission requests...Ive done a few but have learned more and will be more confident after watching you. I also have a pet Umbrella cockatoo who I have been putting off painting because hes white. Now I have to paint him after watching this. Id love to see you do a human portrait if possible. I am currently out of work because of whats going on in the world but will look into your patreon after this all ends. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work and clear explanations!!!
I keep coming back to watch your videos. I really love your work, and that’s definitely key to choosing tutorials, books, etc. I also want to thank you for the chance to use Skillshare. I will probably end up going to Patreon, but this gives me an opportunity to try some of your full tutorials in the meantime!
It looks so easy watching you bring the cockatoo together. Good thing I watched the video first because I probably would have made my cockatoo into a dragon. Lol The finished painting is beautiful. 🌹
Thank you so much! Your videos are amazing! I just started to learn watercolor, your channel is a gem for me. Your art is stunning and so inspiring. Thank you so much!
I'm a new follower and patron and really enjoying your videos during this crazy time! Would love a video on how to paint this cockatoo...thank you! Angela
@@LouiseDeMasi I also visited the pixabay site you recommended for reference photos. Free! Yippee! I've made my sketch, but now I'm nervous about painting and "ruining" it as it took me a while to get the drawing right. Any tips for preserving a good drawing so I can make more than one attempt at painting it? Thanks so much!
I draw on tracing paper and then transfer to watercolour paper when happy with my drawing. This allows me to start over if needed but more importantly I’m not scuffing up my watercolour paper with and eraser. A light board makes it super easy to transfer, but used homemade transfer paper when I begun.
3:27 😦 *They make white cows?!* (It's a gorgeous painting but I'd thought it was lovely art from your imagination -until I saw this video! 😨 I really need to get out more often.) ❤️
Hy Mam! You painting work are amazing ,speachless work Mam I follow you because I am Artist and I follow your water color technices I love mam GOD bless you ❤️♥️♥️😍😍😍😍😍 I see your all video and I learn your water color paint technices thank you mam♥️
This is exactly the type of watercolor I've been wanting to learn! Every time I have tried watercolor, I have ended up putting way too much detail in the painting and totally destroyed the effect that I had wanted.
Hi Louise, I am just starting to undertake your classes on Skillshare, and have moved from graphite drawing into watercolours and coloured pencils and just love the way you work. I am finding it hard to find a balance between colours and darks as well as too much and not enough detail. Your tutorials and videos are very informative and easy to understand. I am not yet ready to do a work of my own just yet, but learning more and more and more from your knowledge. Also can I ask what paints you use?? Thank you from brissie AU♥️
HAHAHAAA I understand what it means to be the other person in the home. to maintain some peace at home, try to film in a fixed room and turn on a table lamp OUTSIDE THE ROOM when you are recording. this will please everyone.
Thank you for this video! I appreciate that you don’t rush through and speed up the video too.
Your bird is stunning!
Came for the tutorial and stayed for the bloopers. Thank you for making us smile in these troubled times.

Thanks Don! I'm guilty of that. I was always in such a rush to start painting. I take it slower these days. Stay safe.

Love your videos! Do you ever use watercolour canvases? If so, your thoughts. Thanks so much. Deb
Wow
Where is the discretion button.
You’re amazingly talented! You should work with Domestika, it’s like skillshare but in Spanish, they offer some courses in English as well.
Thank you Rebeca. I've seen some ads for them lately. 💕
I wonder if there is any Louise De Masi painting without Windsor Violet in it... 😉
I sure hope not!! 😊
I was also just thinking that ;)
Trying to buy Windsor Violet!! I love it since watching Louise”s paintings! :)
This is exactly the type of watercolor I've been wanting to learn! Every time I have tried watercolor, I have ended up putting way too much detail in the painting and totally destroyed the effect that I had wanted.

You should do a video teaching your husband how to paint😂
Lol.... that would be a challenge. 😝
Disliked video for the paid promotion but the rest was good.
