I watched this on Toonami when I was a kid and they cut the fart out, just went to everyone holding their noses after he got the Dragonball, I always assumed Roshi got swallowed and took the “southern exit” to get out 😂😂😂
So they cut out the fart to protect your fragile little mind and it backfired, cause your wild imagination filled in the gaps :D

18 is probably stronger than everyone else on the scene (Videl, Yamcha, Roshi, Chi-Chi, Bulma) combined, and despite what she says in the episode, she doesn't automatically get short-circuited by water (she can drink and take baths), since most of her body is organic and not robot parts. She has virtually no reason not to go after the ball herself, and yet she still blames Roshi.
