  • The Purpose of Braille Skateboarding is to grow the number of people who skateboard by teaching, motivating, and inspiring. We do this by making skateboard tutorial videos covering every how to skateboard video under the sun moon and stars. By learning ourselves and showing that no matter how old or young you can learn to skate. Part of this is also providing a suggested path to take in learning to skate. Then we inspire NEW people to learn to skate by making videos outside the very small world of skateboarding. We turn an ipad into a skateboard, skate on a big screen TV, and even a door. We focus not only on the creativity here but building the board and then all the way through to seeing what tricks can be done on it. Skaters have always been a creative bunch of people they take the normal ideas of society and change it to create their own world. Most people see a set of stairs we see a kick flip going down them. Our goal here is to take people that may never have thought of skateboarding before and get them on a board.
Brands can email kylie@brailleskateboarding.com for media inquiries.
I have created many ways to achieve the above goal and will list them all below. Different ways for different people so have a look through and see what fits you best.
“You Make it We Skate it” - our most popular series enjoyed bo skaters and non skaters alike - • YOU MAKE IT WE SKATE IT
“Skate anything” - our series where we search out what we can possibly make skate able - • SKATE ANYTHING
Skate board tutorials - learn for free and on your own on UA-cam - • LEARN TO SKATEBOARD VI...
“Worst Board at the Park” - we find the worst board and replace it with a new one for tricks. Its all love supporting the community - • WORST BOARD AT THE PARK
Skate support - need help with that trick well watch the video here and send in your clip. We will do our best to make the video quickly but we have a lot of submissions. The end result gets posted on @Brailleskate Instagram - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
“Skateboarding Made Simple” - instead of UA-cam tutorials where you can get lost here is a guided lesson plan to take you through the basics and beyond. Instant digital download and get started - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
Skateboard coaching - this is a totally new idea in the world of skateboarding. Get a list of tricks to learn in and submit your clips to a skateboard coach who walks you through how to land them. This is done through direct text messages and video sharing. The best way to guarantee success on your board as you have a person there to help, guide, and motivate you. This service is called “Braille Army Plus” and is a membership with a lot of benefits - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
In person lessons - if you live in the area sign up for lessons - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
Get started with a good complete skateboard, the best beginner complete - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
    Professional complete - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
Pro decks the highest quality available - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
    Skateboard shoes - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
    Skateboard clothing - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...
Helmets and safety gear - www.brailleskateboarding.com/...

Uk fellow here :) Buy Rough Riders wheels or Powell G-Slides or Bombers. 52mm RR will do, but generally 56mm or higher will take you further. The only way to skate streets and pavement in UK. Also, Avenue suspension trucks work well. Together with softer wheels, you just glide. Anything between 78A-85A. 92A might be considered soft, but it doesn't cut it in UK streets. lol!!! Softer wheels will wear fast, and they might crack as well unfortunately. Also, they are not great for stationary tricks (or trials) cos they roll back and forth. And they don't slide, but generally I feel if you slide in UK streets, you will die anyway :) But if you wanna cruise up and down, softs are the only way in UK. For anything else, its skatepark...

I'm 37 and I picked up skating again 2 weeks ago. Last time I skated was like 2005! I invested 2 boards, one for trick and the skate parks, and one with bigger and softer wheels for cruising around. I know it will take time, but I can't wait until I can Ollie at least 12 inches off the ground and do it while rolling. Great videos!!!

Thanks for tips man! I'm getting back into skating form the Bay Area as well :-) I'm 22 used to skate back in middle school and high school. I knew how to Ollie but never was the best at them. Only when I stopped always looking at my board like you mentioned I was becoming more better at skating. Now that I'm back trying to skate like I was before I realize that I'm really focused at looking at my feet/board and that's why I don't always land clean or even get a nice Ollie going when I know I can. Also just keeping my body straight and shoulders would help a lot more. Cool thing that we have videos like these to help out with skating. Sometimes I just don't realize what I'm doing wrong but now I know. Thanks dude!

ROTTEN FACE ZOMBIE turn your front foot forward

    • @iCapybara
      @iCapybara 6 років тому +5

You can start with the rear foot more over the trucks than the tail if it helps you shift the front foot but after a while you should be able to adjust with the rear foot on the tail too. Remember to not lean backwards over the tail; keep your weight centred over and forwards (in the direction of movement) even if you're unweighting the front foot for either a kick turn or popping. Practise this a lot and it just gets easier to pivot without putting too much pressure/friction on the front foot. Repeat by doing it switch, remembering to keep your rear leg fairly straight and your weight forwards, not over the tail.
