Wow, in this draft I both think you did a really good job with your staying flexible in pack 1 strategy (remaining mainly green), and then hitting the spot and getting very well rewarded for going into blue. Fantastic deck, fun to watch. Congrats!
congrats Nicolai, you definitely deserved that undefeated run, just a remarkable example of not getting blinded in the draft portion and staying open, incredibly disciplined picks that paid off for you, cant wait to see the next draft #tripleshinx
Great draft. I learned a lot from this. I would have gone a way different line in the draft and instead of going early green probably took the risk with the gold card into green. And i would gone with Blood Husler and locked myself into green/black, but the way you explained to keep yourself open if a great rare shows up in pack 2 and switched to blue later was really interesting decision making which was the reason you got yourself such a powerful deck. Congrats on the wins and thanks for the videos!
I'm glad you found it helpful! I think a lot of people would have taken that other path through the draft, so I'm happy I was able to showcase the power of an alternate approach!
Unfortunately that’s just not true. If you need one specific card, looking at half your deck or 12 cards or something like that to find it isn’t always going to work, which is a big downside if you’re counting it as a tutor. Sure, if you have 10 lands in play it does that, but that doesn’t happen all that often. It’s kind of like how mana fixing that looks at the top x cards of your library is generally not reliable for splashing because if you have one swamp in your deck for a splash you really just want to guarantee finding it.
Great run and draft. But sleeping on those Sandstorm verges in pack 3 big time. In a two color deck with greenblade and only 1 desert at that point those should at the very least be a consideration
I don't really like Sandstorm Verge. I only like playing colorless lands if they are quite good or if they have high synergy with my deck, and with only 1 Desert payoff I don't think Sandstorm Verge meets that threshold. I'm glad you enjoyed the draft!
Do you enjoy watching me play Arena Open tournaments and other, "high stakes," Magic events?
yes
love it, best of luck with the money draft later!
Absolutely - honestly for me there's no way I could ever compete in these types of events! So it's pretty fun cheering for you to win it all!!
this deck was insane, great job staying flexible pack 1
Thanks! The deck was definitely incredible and I'm proud of how I drafted!
I agree with villainous wealth not being the pick, in a casual draft it would certainly be, because this card is so much fun
I think it can be good in a more competitive setting, but I didn't want to first pick it. I'm glad you liked the video!

Yeah..this was fantastic building help.

Triple man. If it's time to get some luck, bring those sphinx !
I'm glad you liked it!
Triple sphinx is absolutely disgusting lol i thought two was disgusting. Well played though congrats!
It feels pretty unfair! I'm glad you liked it!
And sort of quad sphinx when you count Visage Bandit!
@@seant2432 Copying Sphinx with Bandit felt great!
Geesh, #triplesphynx?!? Who said Blue is bad? 😂 Congrats on the sweep. Looking forward for your 2nd draft. Hope it’s as sweet as this one.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the draft!
what a draft! i'd have taken villainous wealth and tanked the draft 90% of the time. good discipline!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it and got to see a different approach!
that #triplesphinx was awesome!
Indeed!
In draft, pillage the bog becomes almost a demonic tutor

Blue might be the worst color but 3 5/3 hexproof flyers is hard to beat. #triplesphinx
I draft blue very frequently in this format. If it is open (which it usually is) it can be quite solid, especially when you have a Sphinx (or three)!
triple sphinx is nuts!
Yep!
#tripplesphinx that was insane been learning a little bit more about drafting when I watch you I woulda took the v wealth lol
I'm glad you enjoyed it and got to see an alternate approach!
Are you going to do the chromatic Cube draft?
I'm not planning on it. Cube draft isn't really something I enjoy most of the time.
#triplesphinx can't wait for the next video
I'm happy to hear it!
Nice win
Thanks!
Triple Sphinx!
I'm glad you liked it!
pleasantly surprised by the Les Miserable cameo song lol #3Xsphinx
I'm glad to hear it! I always have a great time doing stuff like that!
#triplesphinx wow awesome draft and games, great job
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
3 sphinx is insane 😂
Yep!
I mean 3 stoic sphinx? How can that even be real? How are people passing those? I'm lost for words.
I think some players refuse to play blue in the format.
#triplesphinx well done!
Thank you!
Triples makes it safe. Triples is best.
Indeed!
@TripleSphinx awesome draft nicolai triple sphinx is insane win 2000 sweet bucks in the next one
I'm so glad you liked it!
