Roman Catholicism is the full package deal 👍 go to an FSSP TLM if possible and I guarantee you’re gonna fall in absolute love like I did. I found one and within a year and a half I had met someone, got married, and now have a beautiful little family!
You’re also more likely to find someone along the lines of Stephanie Gordon there, a lot of Latin Mass going women look up to her and she is ( in my humble opinion) just the epitome of what I aspire to be as a woman 🥰 my marriage has flourished so much because of these two!

It was amusing, when you were recently talking about subsidiarity, to read the illiterati in the comments section trying to extract from that concept some sort of logical annulment of the universal jurisdiction, as if sub- doesn't imply super- in the complement.

In any organization, the buck has to stop somewhere. In the Catholic Church, it stops with God. And God speaks through scripture and the Tradition of the Church. The chair of Peter holds the Vicar of God.
In any human organization, there is policy making and are executive functions. The pope holds supremacy for both of these in the Catholic Church. However, traditionally in terms of dogma or faith, which for us is policy, the pope has always tried to get consensus from his brother Bishops, before promulgating dogma. In this sense, in practice the Pope has been the first among equals. Governance or executive matters are different and need not require the same degree of consensus; there, his authority should not normally be open to debate.

Funny, I thought he was utterly insufferable and has become mildly more likeable over time. I guess because he was on AB a couple of times. But I guess leopards never shed their spots.
He can be terse but his arguments are sound.

Funny, how the Catholic church can jump through logic hoops to reach a point where "servant" means a big boss with unquestionable authority that every member must hold as "papa" in their heart and obey with "filial" piety. The office seized too much power - causing the schism with the East. Not only did the West side-line the teachings of Jesus, but they caused division in the body of Christ. Repent!
A father serves his family as its head. He works for them, provides housing, food, education, and a peaceful environment. He establishes the household law, and upholds it through discipline. It's all for the good of his family, and it's a responsibility only he can shoulder. You don't understand the servitude of the papacy because you don't understand the servitude of a father.

@@franciscomelgoza2799 I do agree with the idea of a papacy - just not the pope of Oz, but the pope of Christ. I hope the ecclesiastical system continues to develop until something reasonable is reached. The problems with the Church are not only due to the flaws of individual Catholics, but mainly stem from systemic defects in the models of Christianity themselves.
I have a lot of respect for Roman Catholics (my family has many Catholics in it) but I’m simply unconvinced the Pope had universal jurisdiction over the entire Church during the first millennium. Papal primacy doesn’t equate to papal supremacy. The Vatican 1 idea of the papacy didn’t exist in the early Church. The early Church operated in a synodal fashion, and many of the documents coming about of the Vatican recently reflect that reality.
You need to study the early Church Fathers who disprove your opinion that papal universal supremacy is a novel doctrine.
If you want to challenge whether Bergoglio is Pope, I would agree with you that he's not Pope but an anti-Pope.
@@MPFXT I have studied the early church fathers in depth. Papal supremacy was not a reality in the first 1000 years. Churches functioned in an autocephalous manner. Ubi Petrus has many good videos on the subject. Also Francis is the Pope whether you like it or not.
@@countryboyred The fact that papal supremacy is suggested in so many various contexts from the writings of so many of the early Church Fathers makes me wonder how extensive your study actually was. I don't know how you could conclude otherwise - sorry but watching a UA-cam video pales in comparison to the actual writings from the Early Church Fathers.
Regarding antipope Bergoglio - I trust his official status will be settled in the future. As ever, the One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church will be safeguarded as the LORD is with His One, True Church until the end of time as He promised to be.
