Exactly my thoughts, side speakers are redundant it should have had 4 front facing or 2 front and 2 back/side passive bass radiators.
I have a set of sony 6.5" components instead of Sonos and bass is still not as good as i would like, a dedicated sub is a must if you listen to music.
