No way. I just started playing Eve online 2 weeks ago and my go to Poe man makes an Eve video. ❤
100% chance you don't remember me but we definitely flew together for a bit in Cry Havoc alliance. Had no idea ziz was Lt Jester.
Wtf thats so cool 🥰🥰
I actually remember that name.
Oh no, he has relapsed!
we all do eventually
Eve online took just over 5 years, 2012- 2017, of my life. Went through 3 wars and 2 coups. Loved every minute of it. This game gave me PTSD. 10/10 do not recommend.
My heart jumped when you mentioned Dodixie, that's where I based out of most of my Eve career. Man I had so many great times in this even though I never did the big corp routes.
Eve Online was also one of my favourite games to play back in the day, like 10 to 15 years ago. As much as I still love the game though, it really isn't the kind of game you play a little, I always felt like you needed to treat the game like a second job.
Crazy, had no idea Ziz used to play EVE! I used to fly wormholes and jump ships down to lowsec for money
20years and going strong. Microsoft exel simulator!
Actually not that much different from PoE, when it comes to actually proper crafting.
I got into Eve 3 days ago. The first 24 h were hell. Now i am addicted. And i think it has to do with the new player experience. It is at a new level. It can make the daunting task of learning the game much much more easy. The only real work you have to do is to be focused when you read stuff. There is a lot of information, and all of it makes sense. And the new player careers makes it that it slowly orients you to the next little mechanic that if you learn, it will benefit you in the long run. Then every peace of information will add up in time. This game is so big it will take years for me to dable into it.
Hey Ziz! Long time follower for your POE content, here. Nice to see that EVE video and your perspective from your past time in New Eden. Thanks for the shout-out to EVE University! We are always looking for newbros to join our community. o7
The "actual gameplay" watermark on the cinematic views is doing a lot of work lmao. It may be actual footage from gameplay but it's not reflective of EVE gameplay. Needs more blue donuts ;)
I was just looking at my ship mining ice so I could buy a plex to mine ice again.
crazy Ziz I started playing Eve again Last week! small world.
Should've showed the "This is Eve" video, remains the best advert for the game out there.
Doesn't seem like eve left you.
Eve used to be my main game as well in the long long ago. But I was a proud carebear. Good stuff.
Oh man. Good old times.
Such a good game. Good to see this
Gotta say this game was always fun, but it is definitely another life. You can mess around, do things on your own, mine, pve, etc. But the game is pretty boring unless you are in a big group with people.
Used to fly with Karma fleet and it was the best and worst of times. Having a training academy to rely on, eventually moving out to Null-sec with the main fleet, having in game bonding, getting to go to conflicts with other federations, specializing your ship/you skills for fighting, feeling like a part of a bigger machine when you tackle some big ship for your group. Its great having those little goon swarms and getting a dedicated team to do things with. But it can also be like a second job. Sitting waiting for action, being in standing fleet, setting up for conflict and then the fight being called off, being the unlucky guy to get held at the gate while your whole crew warps off and you know you gotta get your spare ship and do a 30 gate jump to get back to the fight.
It was fun, but its really grindy and really is one of those games that kinda has to be your only game if you really want to enjoy it.
Hope some newbies enjoy finding this and getting involved in it.
Reminds me of when i tried to play Albion online, the best parts of the game is playing with a competent guild but doing that early on is almost impossible as a new player and you get constantly punished for being a newbie
Grinding a titan with 1 rorqual took me 3 months then couple weeks to build, Was no fun to fly... 1 neutral in system and my hearth beat went up 10 times sweaty hands :D
Eve is my fav game of all time
EVE Is great. I've started in 2009 and I still actively play it.
waaaaait where is the rest of the video, i looked for the full VOD but there isnt one uploaded on the VOD channel.
this game looks very complicated. especially when you always loose your progress in terms of what you invested into a ship. is this like the POE of MMO's?
You don’t “lose progress” you lose the ship and it’s attached modules if you mess up. Best to play conservative until you have the ISK to play more aggressive.
The adage is very apt “don’t t fly what you can’t afford to lose”
This looks amazing! Would love to watch.
Question: can you land on planets and go outside?
In combat how do you know who is on your team and is there friendly fire
Trust me: in Even Online, you never really know who is actually a friend. There is friendly fire and lots of spying, and grifting...
You can in Eve vanguard
I never realized you played Eve that’s pretty cool. I quit not long ago while I was in the initiative. When I quit, it was right before Them and goons separated. Having a heavy work schedule prevented me from meeting requirements of being in that alliance, so I just quit the game altogether.
Ah eve, when you come for some fun fights and get the null sec blob, gotta protect your investments. Somethings never change.
Such a funny thumbnail lol
This was fun ☺
i played from 2002 to like 2014. quit cause it was 5 accts all at once and was a full second job. i had 4 capital mining ships stripping massive amounts of materials and turning that into bigger things. the 5th was protection a super carrier that would kill npcs in system and show up if my mining ships needed help.
Every time I see one of these videos, I initially think it might be a fun game. I immediately change my mind when it seems like all it is, is a bunch of people ganking each other. It makes me never want to even try it, ever. Oh well, to each their own I guess.
Got some telepathy going on. Just this past week, I've been thinking about EVE Online and have tried to figure out what has changed in the game since I played.
i miss playing this game. but all my friends left.. soo there is nothing left.
please more eve videos!!
Zizaran lore pagman
Best game of all time
o7o7o7o7o7o7o7 from a former womhole jockey who finally won EVE. If my buddies in Scary Wormhole People see this, keep bein' spooky.
Oh no.... Dont do this to me Ziz... I dont wanna go baaack 😂😅😢
hey next, ziz warframe
Pog
I never got into Eve due to not wanting to deal with spreadsheets to manage everything. Didn't sound all that fun back in 2012. More of an Elite: Dangerous player myself. Wish some of the stuff from both types of games could mingle together making the ultimate space MMO until Scam Citizen delivers on its 2 million promises.
@zizaran why did you stop playing?
My entire corporation was too built up around me personally, if i wasnt online nothing happened, i felt forced to be online too much like id play for 14h, someone new would log on and id feel id have to play for another 4 so they didnt miss out, after 14k hours it was just a bit too much as i was a student and i burnt out. Had a great run tho with some of the best memories of my life ❤
Can you salvage from ships of players you pk’d?
Is PoE that boring / dead he doesn't want to play it anymore?
Only 14k hours in eve? What are you, a noob?
I just can't get behind subscription based games, don't have the time to make the sub worth the value.
To be frankly honest, I don't think EVE will ever be good again because the bulk of the playerbase is anti-noob. AFAIK the devs have still not introduced any mechanics to counter gate camping other than "be in a group". You can still get blown up for fun in high-sec through jihadi strikes. Most of the endgame content is locked behind politics. The dwindling player numbers reflect these issues, which continue completely unabated.
too bad most of the game is people multiboxing and CCP doesnt care since its money. I like that they show the playerbase on launcher but always think to myself how much of that is just multiboxing. Always put me off
Pvp space games are lame to me, no real exploration it's just a bunch of people fighting each other. Not for me. But it looks nice.
Ziz. This is a griefer game with purchased power. I played for 5 years and even High Sec space was a waste for anyone not interested in PVP. If only they had a PVE server this would have been my forever game. It was amazing in almost every other aspect. Sadly, you can't go back. Please don't bait the care bears who watch your channel into even trying it.
I mean its a hardcore pvp game 😂 thats the best part of it and the only reason i played personally
I have a Nyx, Revelation, Thanatos, Marauder, and a bunch of other ships sitting in a system somewhere out there...
