I'm planning a move to AR in the next 2 months. Not knowing the neighborhoods, I really appreciate the driving tours. It would be helpful to have a quick map view of the area you are driving.
The Heights/Hillcrest neighborhood is hands down my favorite in Little Rock, with the Quapaw Quarter historic district downtown being a very close second. If you don’t want to live in Little Rock proper there are several great small cities in the metro area including my own Benton. (not Bentonville, that’s in Northwest Arkansas!) The I 30 corridor through Saline County- the Benton/Bryant area-it’s very popular and growing, but not as fast as Bentonville and much of NW Ar, which is growing a little too fast, and it’s going to end up being a problem. I live in the same 1928 home in downtown Benton that my mom and I both grew up in; you could pick up the houses in our neighborhood, put them down in the middle of the Heights (where they would fit in perfectly), and charge at least three times as much. I highly recommend you check us out-especially our historic business district and the surrounding neighborhood if you like older homes/neighborhoods with some character. And of course there’s plenty of newer areas if that’s more your thing. Benton (again: not Bentonville!) was on money.com’s 50 Best Places to Live at the end of last year, and was the most affordable on the entire list. Benton proper has a pop around 40,000; Saline County overall is around 100,000. And I’m only about 20 minutes from wherever I want to go in Little Rock (not to mention 30 minutes from Hot Springs, in the other direction.)
Within your tours, could you please highlight or comment on residential areas with sidewalks, for those of us who wouldn't buy a house in a neighborhood without sidewalks? For example, is there any part of The Heights with sidewalks? Or should us sidewalk-loving people move on to researching other areas? Thanks! Love the video!🤔😉
I have been blessed to have worked in the Hieghts as a painter for years 5 years now. I am currently working for Jack Hartsell construction. Im lucky to have to have worked in some really awesome houses here as i currently am. I am a subcontractor but i have lots of Hieghts refs for anyone needing some weekend work. Loved the video..... You should make more videos.... Pm me me if you need me.
Yes there is quite a bit! If you send me a message through my website narkhomes.com/contact. I'll get you a link to some properties that would be an hour or less commute but sit in a more rural setting 😊
Great question! I wouldn't say its a major issue. Mosquitoes are most prevalent in the warm summer months. There are several pest control companies that will treat your yard if you have extra concerns about them!
Sandwiched from North of Cantrell Rd up to the river and East of N University all the way to the river! Feel free to contact me (info in the description) and I can send you a map with markings to make it easier! 😊
I moved to LR 7 years ago. The worst decision I've ever made. If you are buying its probably ok but ppl like me who are not ready to settle down in a specific pace, the renters rights are the worst in America. Landlords have way too much power over renters and if you get caught up in a relationship with a bad landlord......you will find yourself fixing their nonsense. I'm literally about to go outside today and fix our sewer line under our house, as it's been broke for 4 years now. Even our pest control guy has told us its bad every year, but our landlord refuses to do anything about it.
@@JiggyFy1Tv Many people really value sidewalks. Sidewalks bring the community out and increase the sense of togetherness, as well as vigilance as neighbors share information with neighbors. Sidewalks also make it safe for little kids to walk and ride their bikes and toddler cycles safely.
What do you think of the Heights? I would love to know where else you would like a Drive With Me tour of next!
Popular towns in the north west.
I work for Jack Hartsell..... Have been blessed to paint in the Hieghts for quite awhile now.... Still there.... Lol
Good video

This is great! I'd like to see downtown
Great idea! look out for that one soon! 😊
Chenal valley is beautiful
Yes it is :)
I'm possibly moving to Little Rock in a month or two. What area is considered the country or an area where I would be able to keep my chickens.
I'm wondering what does the University Avenue look like after the restaurants project complete at the old Sears location !!!!
There will be a lot there! So far there is a Raising Cane's and soon there will be Chase Bank!
Love it! How about the N little rock area next?
I will add that to my list Leah! Great idea 😊

Thanks for the feedback. Just made a new tour and hope you check it out
So how do people afford such expensive homes when salaries are so low?

hello, is there major mosquito issue in little rock? thanks

It is my FAVE! Typing this message alone is making me hungry! 😍
Doe's Eatery. Tacos 4 Life in NLR is decent. La Hacienda on Cantrell Ave. also good.

I am so sorry to hear you have had a bad time with your landlord! I definitely ran into issues when I was still renting as well!
@@NicoleNark it's sad because it's kinda nice here.
Renters rights laws suck foreal I mean you really have to look at the lease agreement before you sign it.
@@jvon3885 Not all landlords are like that here.
Beautiful video but I can do without the bubblegum music 👍👍
Walkable? Not a single sidewalk to be found.
I'm from here. There are sidewalks everywhere lol. Of course not in a Suburban area. My yard is my yard and we don't need a sidewalk on it lol

Why move to Arkansas? The racist capitol of the united states is Harrison Arkansas and the rest of the state is the same.
I'm from here. Never experienced what you're talking about.
