    Excellent flight, and high quality production as always. I was slightly distracted by the Springbank 30 in the back. 😀

      That is understandable! Hope you learnt a lot about this amazing sake region despite the distractions! 🤓🍶 Kanpai!

    This is very interesting. I enjoy the comparison and insight. The price point is very helpful. It is often difficult to find the sake selection here in the US. Great job!

    Oh! When I was visiting Nara, I focussed on seeing the deer, but now I'm kicking myself for not taking a bit of time to try out the sake!

    Oh Mac, I wish I knew that 4 years ago when I visited Nara. Now I just have to go back again to get those bottles. Thank you for the torture of watching you enjoy it! 😂😂😂 Kanpai! 🥂

    Out of curiosity, why the reference of Singapore prices? It is definitely not the exchange rate between JPY, USD and SGD.

    • @KanpaiPlanet
      @KanpaiPlanet  Рік тому +2

      Hi Daniel. Momotaro export to several countries, and the use of SGD was simply to give an indication of the type of pricing people outside Japan can expect, as Singapore is a big market for sake for Momotaro and other retailers. Kanapi.

    Since unpasteurized sake is difficult to get overseas, what would you recommend to someone in the U.S. as a first sake to try?

    • @KanpaiPlanet
      @KanpaiPlanet  10 місяців тому

      That is a very tough question! What styles do you enjoy? Or is this truly a first? 🍶🍶🍶

      @@KanpaiPlanet Truly a first. We drink a lot of wine, mostly dry reds, but some white. I guess balanced is the best description of what I prefer in drinks. In whiskey, a touch of sweet, but not overly sweet. Not a lot of sake options in our part of the U.S. and wanted to try and make the first experience positive.

      The best way methinks is to mention some of the bottles that have caught your eye that you can get and I can let you know if you should rush out and buy them!
