About time someone put these guys over. It wasn't mentioned, but Buck Quartermain also worked a while with ECW. I go back a long way as a wrestling fan, so I remember job guys from the days when all you saw on TV wrestling were squash matches. Guys like: Tomas Marin, Joe Turco, Rocky Tamayo, Mike Pappas, Mike "Porky Pig" Loren (who often came to the ring with a piglet on a leash), Pete Doherty, Lenny Solomon, Vicente Pometti, The Cisco Kid, Lee Wong, Juan Caruso, Pancho Valdez, Jim Lancaster, and way more than you can count, and they existed only to get the holy hell beaten out of them. And of course, the King of the Jobbers himself, the unpredictable Johnny Rodz.
My coworker has a friend that has been in the indy scene. I don't know what's come of it but, this friend received a phone call from the NWA to come and do some jobs locally when they come to town. I guess he told my coworker that if he could he'd have him come to the ring with him one time. That sounds like the coolest thing to me. That would practically be a dream come true.
Fun fact about Peter Weeks: He was originally supposed to be given the “Boy Toy/HBK” gimmick based off his good looks, but Shawn Michaels politicked in order to steal it from him.
Dale Wolfe and George South are known to be GREAT trainers. "Snake Watson" sounds like at least a mid-card name. "Peter Weeks" sounds like a tag team member. I also remember Bobby "The Brain" Heenan saying this about Ricky Ataki: "After you wrestle him, you want to wrestle him again five minutes later." or something like that.
Some of these guys should be in the Hall of Fame. The people in the Hall of Fame are there because of people like the ones in this video. They deserve to be recognized.

Fun fact about Toad - he was roommates with Lodi and his name is mentioned on Lodi's signs a few times during the Flock era. Guess Lodi had a little stroke getting his bud to do the job in WCW
I'm familiar with Toad! He was big in the late 90s early 2000s on the Raleigh, NC Indy scene. I would see him jogging along with Murry Halper who wrestled as Otto Schwanz and one of the Dupp Brothers in ECW along the Crabtree Valley nature trails. I think Toad went on to be a barber.
I'm actually happy I wasn't mentioned. 😂More often that not this kind of stuff is done to mock and make fun of those doing that for a living. I always say who did they ever wrestle and I made a living doing it, didn't have to have a real job and that was more important than anything. I had the time of my life and was always treated with respect by those in the business which continues to this day. Thanks for the compliment on my punch.
Some of the first jobbers I remember watching were Terry Gibbs, Rick Renslow, Chris Duffy and Tom Stone. Mike Blackwell also deserves a mention for no-selling all of the Skyscrapers' offence in a 1989 NWA/WCW squash match.
I was trained by Jerry Fox (Rockin’ Randy) and Eric Freedom in the late ‘90s. Randy still runs a promotion In Illinois, Premier Pro Wrestling. That guy knows his stuff and is an excellent trainer.
11:21 Holy cow Brian Costello that’s a name I haven’t heard in years, he used to run local shows here in Indiana at the cove. One of his events is where I got a picture with Brutus the barber beefcake and Greg the hammer valentine
For the letter “T” I would’ve picked Tony Roy. That guy was ripped and could’ve been a star wrestler if given the chance, maybe. He just needed to get rid of the hair, but he definitely had the look.
So many options for J, but I would have taken Johnny Knockout, the guy who wrestled Braun Strowman because he liked big, sweaty men 😂. Gotta love that the guy took his one opportunity to talk and made it memorable.

6:55 - this is a top quality joke. Subbed! And I’m also going to actively look for a place to use that with my friends
An acknowledgment in the hall of fame would be a nice thing. These guys were a big part of wrestling
I’m friends with both Van Van Horne & Yellow Jacket (Kevin Lawler). This puts a smile on my face. And their shoulders on the mat.
We must all give recognition to all these guys who helped the big stars get over
Jumpin' Joey Maggs of WCW Saturday night fame has to be my favorite jobber of all time...
Some of your comments had me laughing so hard love love the content from RTW to these random ass videos 😂😊❤
one of my favorite wrestling bios videos. Amazing to see some of these still had match fairly recently.
Fun fact about Peter Weeks:
He was originally supposed to be given the “Boy Toy/HBK” gimmick based off his good looks, but Shawn Michaels politicked in order to steal it from him.
Great stuff as always 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One I wish you had mentioned was Todd Morton, Ricky's lesser known 'brother'. He got squashed by literally EVERYONE in WCW in 1993-1994.
Everyone deserves some shine in this crazy world of wrestling. Good job helping with that 😊
Facts
It's so cool that as I'm watching this I keep seeing the "Likes" rise up more and more! Love all your content Wrestling Bios!
My man, M is for Mark Starr, nobody else. What a WCW jobbing legend. When I was a kid starting to watch Wrestling he was my favorite wrestler whatever that says about me
Nothing wrong with that my friend!
I grew up idolizing George South Rocky King Randy Hogan Barry Horowitz Reno Riggins etc.
I’m adding this to watch later. But I already know it’s going to be awesome
@WrestlingBios I watched this video and cried; I called my neighbor to watch with me, and we cried a lot. We summoned the entire village, and we are now crying together. God bless you Sir and Fantastic videos🍻🍻🍻Sit back and relax and watch some Wrestling Bios
Bro Wtf
Fun fact about Toad - he was roommates with Lodi and his name is mentioned on Lodi's signs a few times during the Flock era. Guess Lodi had a little stroke getting his bud to do the job in WCW
I remember Toad!
There was a small, but, dedicated message board fan base who were pretty hyped about him joining The Flock around 1997-98.
How did the legendary Marion Crumbley not make the list? I demand a recount.
He was the finest man to ever count the lights
Awesome topic! I would LOVE to see vids on jobber squash matches. Some of them were truly epic.
I'm calling shenanigans for not giving C to one of the greatest hands the business ever had: Charlie Fulton. My runner up would be Cougar Jay.
Quartermaine washes the jockstraps at the Blackman Dojo, and enjoys it.
We should all be so lucky to enter the Mufugg Dojo.
W.T. Jones is a good one for part 2
I gotchu covered bro.
Quincey Jobsalot is going to be my new jobber persona. Ill give you a shoutout when I hit it big.
I'm shocked at the absolute zero amount of love for Bob Cook ... the best punch in the business !
Thanks for the Joey Maggs shout out! My all time fav jobber in WCW!!
Jimmy Jack Funk, Reno Riggins, Barry O , Jerry Allen
Barry O got the mention and I never knew about Mr.X wow
Some of the first jobbers I remember watching were Terry Gibbs, Rick Renslow, Chris Duffy and Tom Stone. Mike Blackwell also deserves a mention for no-selling all of the Skyscrapers' offence in a 1989 NWA/WCW squash match.
Thanks for this. I luv the jobbers. Humor is top notch. " 2nd in the biggest loser contest"...classic
123 kid was still my fav ever jobber twist
I was trained by Jerry Fox (Rockin’ Randy) and Eric Freedom in the late ‘90s. Randy still runs a promotion In Illinois, Premier Pro Wrestling. That guy knows his stuff and is an excellent trainer.
A brilliant idea presented in a superb way. That was fun to watch and interesting too. Thanks for sharing.
"I'm probably going to piss off about 6 people" killed me.

Holy cow Brian Costello that’s a name I haven’t heard in years, he used to run local shows here in Indiana at the cove. One of his events is where I got a picture with Brutus the barber beefcake and Greg the hammer valentine
Can't wait to see a Part 2 in the future. More so to see Paul Van Dale, the father of Leah aka Carmella.
For the letter “T” I would’ve picked Tony Roy. That guy was ripped and could’ve been a star wrestler if given the chance, maybe. He just needed to get rid of the hair, but he definitely had the look.
I like that you included some more recent ones as well
So many options for J, but I would have taken Johnny Knockout, the guy who wrestled Braun Strowman because he liked big, sweaty men 😂. Gotta love that the guy took his one opportunity to talk and made it memorable.
Some of those facts was interesting. The commentary was great.
great video. Yes a 2nd one will be good.
Also a video of Jobbers that got their big break - remember Matt and Jeff Hardy, took them years to get somewhere, but even as jobber Jeff, he took amazing punishment.
