Agreed Ner Vod, though technically this isn’t a Mandalorian ripper, those were in effect shot guns that made their ammo into disruptor beams.
@@dogloversrule8476 I thought they were sidearms? I know of the EU just not all the details myself, so in other words... what you are telling me is the Mando Ripper is just a sawed off Benelli shotgun but powered by tabana gas.
Theres something special about the mix of old school and scifi bits on guns. Love when Scifi has all the fancy metal parts, shoots lasers, etc... but still has the old flint lock mechanism and wood furniture.
Do you understand how much of a service you're doing to our culture when you put out videos like this!? Not only are they great for the regular viewer due to the entertainment value, but videos like this reach entirely new demographics! Chunks of people who otherwise may never be exposed to this side of UA-cam....props man. What you're doing is maaassssiiive

18:22 caught me off-guard LMAO
That is an absolutely beautiful rifle, the fact that it actually fires makes it 100x better!
I was having a bad week before watching this. I love the fact that they played this so straight. Fantastic work! And may the force be with you, always.
Charles: “he’s giving me dahmer vibes”
Also Charles: wearing the most dahmer-like glasses I’ve ever seen in my life.
I got my geek on and my firearms needs met in a single video. My day is done. Thank you.
It is illegal for Mike to be this good in the Lore and on Acting as well.
I've never seen such a detailed review of the Trapdoor Disruptor, until this Tusken Thumb video. Helmets off to everyone involved!
I'm such a huge Star Wars fan. I'm so glad you made this video
Like a true SW fan, they went with *_practical_* special effects! ❤️
Kudos to your engineer's armor, _and_ to that gunsmith for his work. What a stellar video... 🤘
I gotta be honest im impressed it only took him 36 man hours to make such a beautiful functional replica. I was expecting >50 hours once mike asked
There's a company called Kalashnacarver that makes Mando wood furniture for AKs and similar rifles based on some early concept art where they were considering basing the Amban off the Drauginov. The stock is surprisingly comfortable.
I like that you and Ian did lore friendly reviews, great job!
Always love the April 1 vids. Thank you all for creating this, purely for everyone’s enjoyment!
Awesome vid. Thanks to all the Patreon members for their dedication to this channel. One of my favorites.
Editing of the shots and vaporization of targets was done soooo well. Love the diction in this video too, very well written script
"I fired some kind of load the other night" - Charlie is a national treasure!
The comment I was looking for😂
My grandfather actually utilized this as part of the wookie militia. I can always remember the stories and jokes he’d tell. “OHWHHOHAAAAHPHHHOOAOOA” ahhh, I miss those stories grandpa.
This isnt even an april fool's joke, this is just freaking badass.
Freaking awesome. Love seeing your content, never a dull moment.
This channel is really good
I was not expecting this when I started watching it, way deeper than I could have imagined. Fuck yeah dude
This is so fun to watch as a star wars uber fan - the references to in-universe locations and weapons are on point - but also as somebody who is a fan of guntubers to see what that profession would be like in-universe, and you nailed it.
I really loved the previous halo releases for april fools but you guys outdid it with this one. Well done and much thanks to everyone involved for a very entertaining video this year.
It looks so good, props to the guy who made it. Would love to see a making-of video for it.
This is by far one of the best episodes you guys have ever made. Not only did everyone stay in character but to see THE BEST functioning replicas ever. Not only does it look and function like the show but is also Accurate. Great job!!!!!!!
I love it when you do stuff like this just.. without breaking character. At all. 100000/10
Mike this was really cool - your lore delivery was on point and actually made me feel like I was watching someone who lives inside the SW universe. Really cool crossover.
A video on Saturday? What a nice treat!
The effort you put in and the fun you have is so genuine. Love to see it.
This is fantastic! Probably the best thing I have seen on UA-cam.
Honestly thanks Mr Thumb. Your videos are a nice escape because I'm gonna be honest life has been horrible recently and I'm just so tired man. It's just been so sucky and I feel like I'm in a hole but at least I've got some banger fun stuff to watch to try and keep me distracted from all the bs.
Chin up, friend. Remember what you enjoy in life and strive to enjoy it more often.
The fact that in the Star Wars universe most people would probably think that the mandalorian is a professional LARPer is hilarious
Mandalorians really weren't that hard to wipe out... having metallic shiny armor, has a tendency to "glint" quite often. So they think they are hiding in cover, but you just fire explosives whenever you see light glinting off their helmets.
tbh they did a lot better during the Old Republic days
@@GarandThumb is a KOTOR fan confirmed
@@GarandThumb the old republic is the best era
I think they were taken out with giant magnets.
Most have painted armor, Mando's just a show-off.
Awesome video! Thanks to everyone who worked to make this happen - you guys all rock! May the Force be with you
I believe it's canon that after Luke saw Leia's "help me Obi-wan Kenobi" message, he started watching Garand Thumb through the hologram projector
I felt a great disturbance in The Force, as if a million molecules of gel block suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.
Genuinely surprised and humored, by the commitment to the bit. I first thought it was the intro tease, but all of you followed through!
I had to think for a moment at the beginning of this to realize it wasn't from an actual episode! Well-made and fun.
Mad props for how well you delivered this. Funny enough, you are better than some hollywood actors imo, I've seen shows where characters fail to deliver their lines with anywhere near the authenticity you just did.
This is truly gorgeous, and I'd give up everything (besides my grandpas M1 Garand :P) to own that armor and rifle. So freakin cool. What an amazingly done episode for Star Wars nerds like me, thank you very much!
*Mando casually committing war crimes
Grogu: 😊
dude...that was awesome! You guys did a bang-up job on that.! ya'll must have really worked through scripting, effects, prop and costuming and you did such a good job on your consistency it really made it really great to see today. I am a huge Star Wars geek and I love this channel for it's quality of production and educational value and that was totally cool to see a SW style episode from you guys in the same vein as many of your reviews. It was so good I brought my kids in and made them watch it with me. Great Job! :-)
9:36 The amount of emotion shown in this scene without showing mando’s face is incredible
This is the best April fools youtube video I have ever seen. The whole team deserves an award of some kind for this master piece!! Thanks for this it was awesome!!!!
This is hands down the best video. Love how he played into what’s actually going on in the Star Wars world
Did not expect to see Din's amban rifle showcased on Garand Thumb. This content is absolute gold.
Honestly one of the best April Fools jokes ive ever seen, not cause its funny but because its just perfect. Really outdid yourself on this one.
This was an unexpected April Fool’s treat! Happy to see my minimum Patreon dollars go to a few rounds of this.
Man. I’m glad that I never sold my grandpas old disruptor rifle. Had no idea that they haven’t made them for that long.
The Amount of Lore in this Video is insane. The Characters and the Weapons honestly cant wait to follow this characters story arche.
This was so cool, I love how it actually shoots like it does in the show. Also the Springfield makes so much sense as a base.
