@@Sars_007 Okay, the shortest version I can do: The blues became rock n roll through people like Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Little Richard, etc. but it became a cultural phenomenon through white American southerners like Elvis. As it moved out of the American south (ignore the Chicago blues--that was African Americans from the south who had relocated) into the rest of America it lost much of the African part of the blues and became more aligned with European-derived musical traditions. Then it got filtered through English musicians who loved rock n roll but didn't have much cultural understanding of it and we get the Beatles and the more blues-happy folks like the Stones and Clapton. Again--further removed from African elements and even American elements. Then slightly later, when metal is born with Black Sabbath, the blues element of rock music is pretty subdued and European classical elements fill in the void. Ever since then the trend has been more dramatic and less bluesy. The European classical music fuses with it pretty naturally.
@@JasonBenesh Sister Rosetta Tharp was a Gospel singer ,who played a electric guitar Gospel is a precursor for Rock & Roll What's wrong with Chicago Blues? With out Muddy Waters, Little Walter , Etta James & Chuck Berry there wouldn't bd any Rock & Roll

Never heard or saw this channel before but it’s recommend on my feed. However, I click a short version of this song and looking forward to it! Can’t wait to hear!
When you share your culture in the most awesome way possible, amazing
I've been listening to all kinds of music all my life. Even in the first thing in the morning when I wake up. It doesn't matter what kind of music you listen to, it puts you in a good mood , it doesn't matter what kind of music you listen to as long it has a good beat.
🙏🏼♥️
Thank's
I really love the old/folk/ancient music mixed with modern beats.
Ok I'm a metal fan from way back . And let me tell you . You did such an amazing job with everything in the video . Location. Style of clothing. And the fact you where so into what you where doing was what added that extra flair . I have heard Asian music before but my first for something like this. So good . Keep up the amazing work can't wait to see where this road leads .
That was not at all what I was expecting, but it's great! Thank you UA-cam algorithm for recommending it, but of course biggest thanks to Nini Music for creating and sharing it!
Thank you. Its rare in the west to see Asian people go beyond the stereotypes. I was labeled the nerd and the math kid and everything basic you could think of. But im a metal head. I love music that could make me feel. And to see someone who looks like me perform it on traditional instruments is so so so wondeful. THANK YOU
Thank YOU 🙏🏼
Not caring the region of the world it's from but just loving the folk metal. We must have more of it. So glad you popped up as a random video.
*Something to be proud of about Asians! a place that produces many genres of traditional ethnic musical instruments! a big thank you to the artists who made these instruments live over the years, kept it from being forgotten and let audiences like us enjoy it in such a wonderful way!*

She's chinese, not asian.
And before you say "but china is in asia, dumbass" - chinese themselves divide asians into "han" and "subhumans".
Truth! Fully appreciate the traditions of your cultures! Sadly here in the US we are like lost sheep told to make our own way with little history that we can be proud of. I find myself drawn to the traditions of your many cultures but the music with our modern songs adapted to your instruments makes me feel most at home. Drawn to hear & learn more of your cultures history though music.

For some reason I've always liked listening to Asian music like this. I'm American. I've was stationed in Korea in 2000 to 2001. There were times I see some musicians playing. I'd always stoped to listen. It was relaxing to me . Hearing the traditional instruments like this one here. I hope to see more of your videos. Thank you.
This is beautiful! So full of energy. Fresh and timeless simultaneously
Nini just never stops and it's so inspiring! Keep it up you're incredible!
So glad this came up in my recommendations! Can't wait to listen to more! Yeah folk metal!
@williamrolls2599 hi William. Well and you?
@williamrolls2599 I grew up with an eclectic background and exposed to culture before most in my country. I love music. It speaks and relays so much more than words can.
@williamrolls2599 where would you think I'm from? And how about yourself?
@williamrolls2599 weather is good. Would assume similar to yours and yes am the US.
@williamrolls2599 me as well. I grew up with big Asian and Middle Eastern influences. Family friends were university professors and teachers. I was learning about other cultures and their music especially before I left primary school.
I had no idea this much sound could come from 3 strings. She's really worked hard at her craft.
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Never heard a shamisen (Japanese version of what she's playing) before, either, eh?
ua-cam.com/video/F6pPP2kfHzU/v-deo.html
@@therealfriday13th True, shamisen sound really great!
Sometimes less is more.
Fascinating and mesmerizing seeing the instrument being played, with it having such a different look as what i'm used to seeing here.
Music is truly awesome.
It's so refreshing (and epic) to see heavy metal being embraced by far eastern culture along with the incorporation of traditional instruments. It really puts your own stamp of authenticity and individuality on it. It's super important to keep cultural heritage alive, particularly in our times. It doesn't matter what part of the world your ancestors are from.. I've shared your song with all of my friends. And now you've inspired me to go and listen to The Hu!
Glorious footage! As a Chinese diaspora, I’m so proud of this! I was always persecuted by fellow Chinese for being ‘too western’. This closes it for me.
OMG you are incredible!! The world needs to hear and see your talent
thank you!
Nini is proud and talented daughter of Taiwan!
It’s times like this that I’m so incredibly happy that I opened my ears to worldly music. This was a fantastic piece and I really will be looking into more of Nini’s music!!
I didn't know i needed Taiwanese Folk Metal in my life but apparently I do
real talk this is awesome, i love it, great job on the composition and the video , seriously
Born and lived in Taiwan for more than 60 years I never heard of this folk tune and rarely seen a music instrument like this. Both the tune and Sanxian music instrument are imported things I can tell you, no hoax at all.
What I find fascinating is how refreshing it sounds with the vibes from traditional instruments. You`ve earned a sub :) Looking forward to more music from you :)
Давно ждал такой стиль музыки, я знал что кто-то, по-любому в Азии это сыграет!!!)
Blown away. They way she uses and reinvents the sound of their cultures instruments. Absolutely love.
Somehow came across this last night. Heard the song, bought the whole discography. Excellent tune & vid. Want more.
Amazing music video, sanxian really captures the spirit and movement of the horses.
NiNi music originals are the best!!!
Fantastic! I love how people from different cultures are adapting metal styles to their traditional music. Thanks for rescuing us from incessant death metal!
Don’t be mad the best sub Metal genre is popular. Lol
@@juliotorres3147 death metal instrumental parts are amazing.
And the singing sucks.
@@SiriusMined the singing is the best part. Pushing the limits of human vocal chords and finding new ways to create sounds unheard of from a human. Amazing stuff.
@@juliotorres3147 I'd say it goes beyond the limits, it a way that isn't very good.
@@SiriusMined lmfao imagine being this close minded. It’s weird. But, yes, music guru. It must fit your criteria or no good. Makes sense
I am an American scholar of music. I own many instruments from across Asia - the Phin from Thailand, the Sitar of India, the Shamisen and Sanshin of Japan and Okinawa. I have learned to play them all, and now my gaze turns to the traditional musical instruments of China - the Guquin, the Sanxian, the Pipa, Yuequin, and Luiquin.
I hope one day you will see my music on UA-cam as I have seen yours, and I will be eager to see what new music you create!
Respect and Honor to you!
I hope this hits 3 million views!!! This warmed the blood and made my heart smile!! 💪 👏

A someone who loves rock music and can't play an instrument at all, I'm so glad youtube exists!! Simply AMAZING!!!! Can't wait to listen to your music for hours!! You are awesome!
I love it, Taiwan has been a great place for music for me, after I found about Chthonic, I loved it and then I found a massive wave of new bands, and I'm always pleased to find more.

If you have not heard metal before start with the Rust in Peace album by Megadeth. Master of Puppets by Metallica. Vulgar Display of Power by Pantera.
@@Davivd2 better Judas Priest. Or Led Zeppelin as it's hard rock not metal but metal was born from hard rock.

@@fcsvideos6926 completely untrue, as the young lady here demonstrates.
I love folk metal and I'm very much enjoying your contribution to the genre. Keep up the good work!
I love your blend of folk with metal.. it's perfectly mixed too, the acoustic guitar is calming and haunting, and the metal music in the back ground is not over powering the song, I found my self hypnotized by the acoustic guitar then all of a sudden I am head banging to metal beats. 1:41
謝謝!
I don't know why but various folk and classical music when mixed with metal makes amazing results.
I have a theory, but it's long-winded and not that interesting, so I'll spare you.
@@JasonBenesh oh cmmon, tell us on short please
It's just because metal makes everything else better! lol
@@Sars_007 Okay, the shortest version I can do:
The blues became rock n roll through people like Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Little Richard, etc. but it became a cultural phenomenon through white American southerners like Elvis.
@@JasonBenesh Sister Rosetta Tharp was a Gospel singer ,who played a electric guitar
Gospel is a precursor for Rock & Roll
What's wrong with Chicago Blues?
With out Muddy Waters, Little
Walter , Etta James & Chuck Berry there wouldn't bd any Rock & Roll
