Now im doing it again but, it doesnt seem to import the .rdc file into blender. I do have the plugin enabled and no errors whatsoever pop up but the model just doesnt load and nothing at all happens, is there any fix for this? Im quite braindead when it comes to blender so...
I just kept trying a bit and noticed that when I fail to import the file, a folder is created called [name]_[combination of letters] like "singapore-jugqsau"

I got to the part where you change the chrome startup. I have no idea how you get that new startup page? I got to the chrome properties bit and then out of no where you had the start up code page bit up and idk how you get to that part
Hello, great video, unfortunately i get an error called "something unexpectedly went wrong" when i tried to upload the .glb file of my map to ObiToSchematic. Cant really find an error cus i followed the video to the letter. Thanks in advance for any help😊
Injecting for me doesn't work, it says "Renderdoc Injection failed: Failed to inject renderdoc.dll into process. Check that the process did not crash or exit early in initialisation, e.g if the working directory is incorrectly set.
Helped me out a lot, thanks!!! Small question though, is it possible to use the material preview instead of the rendered one in Objtoschematic? My renders always seem to get a little too dark, while it looks perfect on blender when not on rendered mode.
I've also noticed that the objtoschematic preview seems a little dark but it renders textures fine regardless. Seems more like a question for the GitHub, github.com/LucasDower/ObjToSchematic

@@AdamsApples Automation is always welcome, but directly taking 3D data from Google Earth and importing it to Minecraft goes directly against their TOS.

Do you recommend a different way or just to split it into multiple sections?
What is the latest supported version of Chrome❓ For _RenderDoc version 1.26_ was working, newer versions doesn't work anymore 🤷♀☹ I used _Chrome 125.0.6422.61_ with _RenderDoc 1.26_ 🤷♀

I got the same issue. Try closing all chrome tabs that are currently open (including the tab where this video plays), then the PID popup should open. It seams like the Shortcut Command has its problems when multiple instances of chrome are running.
I had an error on blender when i import the .rdc file that said : 'bpy_prop_collection[key]: key "Principled BDSF" not found' Turns out it's just because of your language (was in french) So to anyone that has the same error just go back with the english language and you should be fine.

forget it, I fixed it. I just restarted my pc and forgot to restart chrome and get the new pin for renderdoc

There is a blender addon that turns anything into blocks
Yeah, I've bought and tried blockblender, but it's not as optimized as ObjToSchematic is for processing super large scale models

Yeah in that case you probs have to split the model into two halves in blender, so that objtoschem can handle the size at 1:1 scale

Depends. Most build the earth groups prefer to work only by hand, and with precise building

To get accurate 1:1 measurements? Maybe. But 90% of the blocks will still need to be changed by hand so the textures are not so random.

When I inject into the changed google and click "ok" Render Doc gets thrown out and Chrome gives me a new Number.

When I put in the pid chrome makes an new pid multiple times and it will not work
Add this line to the end of the Chrome launch options: --disable_direct_composition=1
It should stop Chrome from restarting the GPU process

getting a different version of renderdoc worked for me, cuz with the newest version, the pid disappears after I enter it

Try doing it through command prompt instead of using the Chrome shortcut I got it to work
