I think they call it a boot "knife" because in some countries they sell it with only one side sharp. To legally make it a knife. Daggers are illegal in some places.
Indeed. Obviously I can't speak for others, I'm sure there are those who find a legitimate use for it. I have a couple of daggers, one is the "letter opener", the other is a Sheffield Fairbairn Sykes reproduction. One is a toy, the other just something I wanted to have in my "collection". Neither one would be my first choice for self defence.
The window reflection on the tables glass is messing with your camera meter it's making the video very dark making it hard to see the knife on a smaller screen specially on a mobile phone. knife is cool though i have one on the way 8~)
love your reviews. I disagree on one point. I legitimately carry a dagger with me as an edc. mine has a serrated back edge that I find handles utility tasks better than the fine edge. my fine edge handles the precision tasks more easily. since I have both types of edge on one blade I get the best of both worlds without having to compromise.
+Flashback sure. first check the knife laws where you live as some states don't allow daggers though. what I carry is actually called a "push dagger" meaning it has a t shaped handle where the blade protrudes between my fingers. It's a cold steel model called the "best pall". overall length is about 4 inches. 2 inches of that is the blade. it cost me about $25 online for the 50/50 edge version, one edge being serrated. overall it's a good little utility blade. I have no complaints this far and I've been carrying it for a few years now.
Letter opener. Or at least that's what I use my cheap ass "Special Agent Stinger UC-841" dagger for. That, and for eating cheese puffs without dirtying my hands. ;) Daggers have to be among the most useless blades I can think of, as far as my own needs go.
I Bought one from Bass pro shops and I'm very happy with it. I wear mine around my neck because you never know when someone is going to run up on you
I have the first version with the leather sheath. HRT are decent bootknife for low budget. Even Hit-Girl used one on Kick-ass
