This will hopefully shed some light on the cheating situation -- For anyone curious why this hasn't been detected more easily... Warden (the name for the AC used in several Activision-blizzard games) and another unnamed system for determining player integrity using "AI" have been functionally crippled since at least Season 3. Attaching OW2 into a debugger verifies that it still hasn't been fixed and they are still shipping broken builds. I have since provided Blizzard detailed information on these discoveries and how to potentially fix it, all without access to the original source code. This has been met with silence on their end. Even when it was fully functional, cheat developers thought it was a joke; now they're just laughing. Right now, unless you are using a very old or very public cheat that matches a basic program hash blacklist, a AC-issued ban isn't at all likely. It's embarrassing at this point.
Blizzard isn't going to respond to you, especially concerning security matters. It's basic opsec; you're not within their employee network, so any outside email, especially any going to a SINGLE PERSON and not a company, is extremely unlikely, no matter how useful the information might be. Source: I work in the billing department of my company and any email not marked with the company email address is listed as suspicious. I usually mark them as phishing attempts. This is likely what happened to you. As well, email correspondence I see between my company and the companies we work with always notes if an email has been sent from an outside network. Any and all info is on a need to know basis, and you yourself do not need to know if the information you sent would be useful or not. And if cheat developers thought it was a joke before, you think they haven't made their programs better and being undetectable? They likely have no moral compass and do not care. Unless people are willing to give Blizzard deep access to their PCs processes, you're never going to be able to beat cheat developers.
Honestly it’s funnier that this dudes cheats were able to hit reaper through that gap but somehow missed a ton of shots on like one person at near point blank range.

Nah hitting them is one thing, being able to see/know where they are and hit a headshot and look forward again in 0,1 second consistently is inhuman.
Its difficult to wrap your head around, how a program can judge behaviour and such patterns. It simply cant see or reason. Its given certain criteria and can only observe and determine based on those. It doesnt matter whether the movements are made inhumanly fast or inhumanly precise, it matters that theyre possible. Since they are, it would need to be told exactly when fast is too fast and when precise is too precise. Anyone with insane human aim would then run the risk of being suspected or even suspended due to having aim that was too fast and too precise or tracking too well. Its somewhat the same as trying to judge someone for cheating based on them having statistically 100% accuracy at the end of game. Its probable that a cheater would have that, but not all that do are cheaters. With the scale of OWs player numbers, a lot of innocent players would certainly be punished, if they tried such a method by sheer coincidence alone. The possibilities that Ai offers to try and solve this problem are very intriguing tho.
If I had to guess... because I've come across several in qp myself... I think it might be people testing them out for a couple games before they ultimately try to ruin ranked games
I think I understand how these cheats work. If you watch where he snipes ana, the blood effects are where the arrow should have hit, so my guess is it straight up moved the hitbox in that instance, given that, a lot of these shots look like hitbox maniplulation. If it's so, then I think the anticheat is a myth.
thats not how it works. its a "normal" aimbot but it looks the way it does because the hanzo arrow is a server-side approximation of the hitbox's position and not actually accurately representing where the hitbox is. the "arrow redirection" has been a visual bug since the launch of the game
@@zambsDGOW I'm aware of the arrow redirection visual bug, but I thought that it seemed a bit too extreme for it to be simply that. also, considering all other factors, I felt hitbox manipulation seemed rather likely, especially accounting for some personal experience with cheaters.
shooting THROUGH bastion to get to his headbox is actually quite possible i do it regularly as orisa or ramattra. I dont know why it happens but it seems to me that in certain circumstances bastions body stops to exist for a couple of frames so you can shoot through him into the core. I can´t reproduce it consistently, it just keeps happening randomly every now and then, but its been a thing for quite a while now.
My guess would be if a projectile is moving fast enough, assuming there’s a little bit of lag as well, the projectile goes straight from not touching bastion to touching his head hitbox in one frame, not giving it time to interact with his body hitbox.
@@kingkocoa4467 The "Favors the Shooter" is just a joke and a cheap way for Blizzard not to deal with issues on their server's side. Hitboxes have been broken since OW1 and they have yet to fix them. A character's headbox shouldn't be double the size of their actual head.
You literally can't convince me OW2 has a functioning anti-cheat. This is Runescape levels of bad... Even when I've reported obvious rage hackers holding and locking onto people in spawn it's never resulted in a ban. Makes playing Overwatch feel meaningless when this is significantly more rampant than cheating in OW1 was.
ngl most of those shots going through the walls and hitting people that arent there is likely due to some form of server side rewind that the replay doesnt properly render after the fact, cause most of the shots would make sense if you figure the hanzo is slightly in front of where he is. the replay just knows that the arrow did hit and makes it happen
Mad props to this person for playing on PC servers while on PS5. I’m also a console player, and playing on PC servers is so insane when you’re on console.
People always comment on aim on PC vs console but imo the much bigger issue is turning around quickly. A good PC genji could dance around console players without ever getting hit. I wish there was a sensitivity throttle button to help with it
@@AMageOldAsDirtIf you use Linear Ramp with 0 Aim smoothing at max sensitivity you can easily turn fast enough, combined with a high aim assist ease in (95-100) as a guide you can also be precise enough to do consistent damage no matter the enemy mobility. The reason the arrow curved at 5:30 isn't because the aimbot, it is because Hanzo's arrows are delayed hitscan so the aimbot cracked the head shot and it was too far for the projectile speed to catch up so the animation ganks because the arrow with a certain length the line is an animation segment. With the scale of OWs player numbers, a lot of innocent players would certainly be punished, if they tried such a method by sheer coincidence alone. The possibilities that Ai offers to try and solve this problem are very intriguing tho.
The enemy Ana being named "LadyGaga" is the best part of the video for me
If I had to guess... because I've come across several in qp myself... I think it might be people testing them out for a couple games before they ultimately try to ruin ranked games
This isn’t even a better gaming chair, this is a better gaming house.
One thing we have to agree, his hacks were so good that even the replay can't explain
Never in my life of playing OW have I ever seen a Honzo hacker.
Always has been
@@annusforever3106 nice
Makes a lot of sense , most people only barely move the box I’m sure 🤷🏻♀️
thats not how it works. its a "normal" aimbot but it looks the way it does because the hanzo arrow is a server-side approximation of the hitbox's position and not actually accurately representing where the hitbox is. the "arrow redirection" has been a visual bug since the launch of the game
@@zambsDGOW I'm aware of the arrow redirection visual bug, but I thought that it seemed a bit too extreme for it to be simply that.
also, considering all other factors, I felt hitbox manipulation seemed rather likely, especially accounting for some personal experience with cheaters.
5:00 thats "Backtrack" . He is hitting the previous positions of the ana that are still stored in the server
shooting THROUGH bastion to get to his headbox is actually quite possible i do it regularly as orisa or ramattra.
Lore accurate Hanzo
This just proves that Hanzo’s hit boxes are absolutely broken
No, it just proves most of you don’t know anything about online multiplayer despite it being accessible for over 2 decades now
@@kingkocoa4467 The "Favors the Shooter" is just a joke and a cheap way for Blizzard not to deal with issues on their server's side. Hitboxes have been broken since OW1 and they have yet to fix them. A character's headbox shouldn't be double the size of their actual head.
That boot must be so tasty for you to be licking it for over 2 decades hmmm@@kingkocoa4467
@@kingkocoa4467That's low quality rageb8 m8. You gotta try a little harder than that.
I’ve been waiting for this one since the short xD
I wish there was a sensitivity throttle button to help with it
Yeah I'm on pc and my friend plays on Xbox but he does almost as good as me and I play a bit more
@@AMageOldAsDirtIf you use Linear Ramp with 0 Aim smoothing at max sensitivity you can easily turn fast enough, combined with a high aim assist ease in (95-100) as a guide you can also be precise enough to do consistent damage no matter the enemy mobility. Granted its still incredibly difficult and requires a lot of practice with a controller but its definitely doable and can rival ~masters level PC dps
@@AMageOldAsDirt As a tracer main, i love when i see console players especially on support lol, they really turn very slowly
One the most blantant aimboters I have seen.
DEFINITELY premium cheats
Lore accurate Hanzo, his arrows can pierce through stone.
Overwatch cheat detection and skill based match making are both a myth at this point
the shot at 4mins was so fast that even putting the video on 0.25 made it seem like double speed still
We should start reporting the entire team. Maybe people would take cheating a little more seriously.
That was a really really really really really really really good video
i have to be honest the spectating cheaters are getting old. would love to see some spectating bronzes again
Lore accurate Hanzo main xD
Hanzo:I can't headshot bastion from the front
Arrow: parkour!
10:35 i love how he hit the headshot on a bastion front side torret mode
people in chat prob still like oh but its a skill issue flat
This Hanzo is legitimate son of Yondu Udonta.
The arrow said it wanted to switch games and pick spy from TF2 at 5:30
Tbh the shots going through things seems about right, the amount of times I feel like I've been shot while already behind cover
4:50 The arrow is legit traveling through wall too X)
That backshot on the Echo was evil. I blinked as well and before you know it she’s dead. 😂
Hanzo: I don't think that is going to hit
Arrow: Recalculating
5:29 Simple geometry
Balance team went wild letting hanzo control his arrows
When your team goes 4dps 1 healer vs a full comp team you know it’s over
"Simple Geometry" mf doing NASA calculations
Love how common it is for flats use of Pyrite town . I love it
13:52 I literally screamed. I'm dead XD
5:30 Man that's some TF2 huntsman BS right there 😂
That Hanzo has the whistle arrow from GOTG 😂
That's just lore accurate Hanzo bro. The gamer chair is also top tier
