I absolutely hate cheaters and then they say they are good. Only cheaters I like are the ones who aren't playing and just messing around but they are only in GTA and that's like 10% of them

Bastion as a true AI, learned how to exploit the game by itself. Lore accurate tbh
that ai Bastion was so funny to watch as it just floated underneath the map completely oblivious to the game-breaking bug it discovered
And you know what that bot Bastion has that EVEN the cheaters don't? Spacial awareness,let me explain. That bot Bastion,even if it is below the map, KNOWS where the map ends and it can manouvre around. I mean,it knows where the "invisible" ground ends. Players,even cheaters,cannot see things like that. I am talking about game physics here. Even if a player cheats,he/she cannot actually see something that only the developers and the programmers of the game can see. Think about it,in the entirety of the battle,that Bastion bot didn't fall to its death. No offence to the players,but that Bastion bot kept killing the players. You couild say that that Bastion bot could see the map Matrix and avoid the "death holes",so to speak. :)
That game breaking bug is easy to replicate. Just use mei wall on someone that died and have them switch and theyll straight clip through the floor. This is especially worse on shambali where there is a invis floor that let's you be under the map without dying (no killbox) and on defense you can set up sym tp for everyone to get out of the map

I loved it when bastion broke the fabric of reality and went into a solid structure like it was liquid best part of the lore

Another handy feature they removed from the game: actually seeing which players in a match are in a group. It just baffles me how many quality of life/fun features they decided to strip seemingly for no reason. Ok, on to the actual video.

Clips from stream that show him cursing the game, saying how disappointed he is, how it's OW 1.5 ou 1.0, how the game got a downgrade, and even how he, today, can't see himself dedicating much to the game after S6, which he's waiting just to see how the story will be. He has many videos criticizing the fact that they removed the features of PVE that were announced and complaining about stuff, so... Yeah, look around a bit more

That AI bastion was trying so hard to get to its next node that it just went into the wall and then stood there calculating its next movement nodes.
As if cheating wasn't bad enough, he had to play BASTION.

Love how Overwatch implemented an "AI anti-cheat" and it still can't pick up the most blatant cheaters. Makes you wonder if the anti-cheat was actually quietly disabled after too many false flags or something.
They put the same developers that worked on the PvE to make the AI Anticheat
They never had an anti-cheat. Their Anti-Cheat is literally just "wait until the person is reported as a cheater x amount of times and then auto ban them"
Maybe, maybe not. Typically anti-cheat will wait a certain buffer time between detection and ban so bot-makers can't easily know what gets or doesn't get picked up by the anti-cheat.
No anti cheat stop all cheats, as anti cheats advance so will cheats to get around it.
"quietly disabled"? Bro, there was never any anti-cheat on overwatch.
Its all based on automatic reponse to multiple reporting by players.
My only guess for how the Bastion on Shambali (6:56 onward) was able to clip through there is that it's just running into the wall, and because the game runs on ticks and server inputs, the Bastion Bot is literally sending its "forward" signal as few as 20 and as many as 60 times per second. Each time you hit W, your character inches ever so slightly forward, even if you're up against a wall; mash it as fast as the server can register it, and you'll clip through a wall... because Flats noticed that there was a seam in the level geometry, but the Bastion wasn't *_aligned_* with that seam, so that can't be what caused it. I dunno-maybe Marblr has a clue.

@@Niko_620 i've never played an FPS game before overwatch so i really struggle with aim esp when i'm playing dps. so it's a good way for me to get used to movement and learn the differences between their weapons without having to worry about letting people down when i'm not good. can do practice range but since they move in a standard way every time it's hard for me to get a good feel of tracking someone. it's def far from perfect but i feel like it at least helps me a bit esp if i'm rusty on a hero.

I've played against AI on that map before and ended up with an Ana and Soldier under the map... its ridiculous and super funny to see it happen with other heros.

Expecting Overwatch's anti-cheat to work is like expecting Blizzard employees not to sexually harass each other.

So I think that the bot is programmed to take the shortest possible route to players, maybe even with some little things additional like "look for cover" etc. Either way I think the coding worked out in such a way that the bot realized "Hey theres this wall here that just lets me go everywhere, I'm going to do that"

They're not, they usually take different route each fight and they tend to stick to the payload. They don't look for cover but they'll look for heathpack.
He probably just got stuck and so the game forced the bot to get unstuck, leading to him going through a wall.
Shout out to the support that was throwing. That person has integrity and did not want to be boosted by a cheater. It’s a shame the rest of them didn’t throw too
I don’t think you should shame people for not throwing a game with a cheating teammate. Like yeah it’s lame to have a cheater in the lobby but they didn’t ask to have a cheater anymore than the enemy asked to face a cheater. Why should they lose just because they happened to be on the team with the dickhead

Pay close attention to 7:40 the bot is not just pressing w. It looks like it jumps in that specific spot before pressing w. Maybe it is replicatable if done with that precise jump.

I encountered that Bastion AI one just they were playing Kiriko instead, we still won but still i had so much trouble finding them that I eventually changed to Widow just to use ult and see where she was

Other games also have ai that can clip through bad clip brushes.
It probably is something to do with the seam, but more likely the wall is slightly sloped or some other jank along those lines of getting skew with some sort if displacment.
the bot cheating is a fun phenomenon that's been happening longer than you'd think, AI being tested with games and they found out 'taking the easiest option' or the ai just learning, often tends to break the game to beat it
I've never seen hacks that were so obvious right at the beginning of the game

The Zarya bubbled Bastion at one point, the healers never healed him, and the other DPS never tried to help him. The tank was being boosted for sure.
That first bastion hacker gave me a headache with all that flipping around. The AI one should have had the Jaws theme music playing. That's crazy.

i think the reason the ai bastion could see everyone is because the floor is one way, and he technically has line of sight to the enemy.
If the collision is one way, i imagine the vision is too

It’s completely valid for Bastion to be perfect with aim as it’s a bot. (because Bastion is a robot it makes sense for it to have aimbot).
That AI clip is really interesting I really wonder if it has to do anything with like an anti-stuck measure for them and the game(only for AI) made the bot have no collision or something. My 2nd guess is that it did some in-human input and did something really perfect to do that? Idk but I can't wait for Marblr to look into it because I'm really curious.
The Bastion AI glitch happened to me once 2 months ago with a Sombra. They threw their translocator and ended up under the map

Having played Bastion in aimbot tycoon gamemodes this looks like just skill, totally.
The AI Bastion thing happened in one of my games. The only difference was that it was a Kiriko. It was really annoying and funny to just get domed out of nowhere.
The bastion AI had me in tears from laughing so hard. This bot just became self aware and the first thing it does is choose violence XD
In all the years I've spent playing Practice, I can say that having a Bot fall trough the map and then procced to completely decimate us has never happened to me. Back before the flip, I've had the unusual circumstance where only a portion of the Bot team actually spawned in and even one where NONE of them spawned. In the flip, they actually tweaked the bots so now they're not so predictable and actually try to get out of the way of an Ult instead of just stand there. And they actually pop off Ults themselves when they hadn't before. It's a better challenge than before. I've seen a Bot get stuck-common on Circuit Royal with Bots on Attack. There's some cars parked on the right side of the main spawn doors where a bot might slip in the space between the bumpers and the building and be unable to get free. Doesn't happen often often, but often enough
And thanks for sticking up for us who like Practice. I'm not a one trick pony. I don't main one Hero. I mean, there's this whole roster- why pick just one? I like to play Flex, and different maps tend to favor different heros better than others. Practice allows me to explore different heros and learn them at my own pace.
