DESCRIPTION:
My art tends to be cute and kawaii, featuring anime based characters, chibis and cute cartoon characters from video games and shows! In this tutorial I teach you how to draw. I aim to teach in a way that is simple and easy to follow, step by step for artists of all levels. This includes beginners! These follow along drawing lessons are great if you just want a relaxing activity, do a DIY, don't know what to draw, are facing art block or need some inspiration. It's also great for learning the fundamentals of drawing digital art and improving your digital art skills, homeschool art lessons, or art teachers needing art lesson plans for their students. Students can just follow along! Nowadays online learning or virtual learning is more common so this will be useful for being self taught, getting an art education online and for homeschool kids. #learntodraw #digitalartforbeginners #learndigitalart

Question of the day:
What do you use to make digital art or what do you plan to use when you get started?
I use my hands to draw and mostly I draw on paper then I take a picture of it then I trace it bc it's sorta hard to draw on the app with fingers-
@@user-sb1sg5lh7l that's super similar to how I got started! Drawing on paper first and taking a picture haha
My story is a little more complicated.
Age 3: I vandalized my chest of drawers with planes
Age 4: my mom buys me a blackboard to avoid scribbling on walls, we did basic drawings. Learnt the alphabet
Age 6: started a sketchbook.
Age 13: started Photoshop wallpapers with gradient tool and a mouse
Age 16: learnt to use pencils properly
Age 17: started Architecture school. Learnt to 3d model
Age 18: had to leave uni (funds...)
Age 21: began to draw digitally with a mouse (Yeek!)
Age 22: never drew since at all
Age 26: had a moment at my office desk and water colored a boat in the harbour (legit was the moment I wanted to go back to Uni)
Age 27: realised I lost my creativity as I had never drawn in years
Age 28: started Architecture at Uni again, had to learn art again properly
Age 29: bought a Mint Green Wacom Intuos M. Basic but cute
Age 30: started to draw digitally properly and found my spirit again.
Age 30.5: finds Shyfoxx tutorials. Does art again happily
Age 30 +: invest in a good setup hopefully. Finds eternal happiness.
What a silly life 😂
Hahaha, thanks for the story. I was fully invested in it. All the best luck with your art moving forward. 🤗
@@Shyfoxx thank you so much. Just feel so positive atm. Don't want this positivity to stop so just a deep thank you for the great content. This channel and people here are great.
Thank you for explaining EVERY step. often times in tutorials teachers will do something and not explain how they did it! or they'll use a hot key and not explain how to also use it. thus i have to go back and slow it down. so thank you for the amazing videos!
No problem! So glad you found it easy to follow!
ive been trying to learn csp recently and out of all the channels ive been watching your tutorials are the most useful and easy to follow.
Amazing to hear, thank you so much!
This is adorable, I always come back to your channel when I want motivation to draw again
Best comment! Thank you!❤
I just started well.. my entire drawing journey. I doodled as a kid but who doesnt... >.< Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed because I just want to give up. Or I dont know how to start. Then I look at this tutorials and all your other videos. And I dont feel like a sack of potatoes anymore. And feel proud for ones on my artwork. I hope it will get better in the future. Anyway all I wanted to say is thank you so much for all your videos. All tips are welcome. I just bought clip studio paint so. You are the first artist I found on here that works in the same program. And your work is really great.
Thanks so much! Glad I can help you on your art journey

Epic! So glad to hear that😊

👍
Loved the guide. Although My pickachu looks like he swallowed Santa’s bag of presents. I did trace shadows same way but deviated from the guide learning how to work on softer shadows. Love how cute your pikachu is! Hope to see more tutorials like this from you!!!
I watched this video before purchasing CSP to see how it works for this kind of drawing , and i confirmed its great from watching this video , but for some reason i totally forgot that the continuous curve* tool can be used for lineart , i kinda missed the pen tool from photoshop but that one is still very helpful , i wish i watched this video before finishing my first emote , i uploaded a timelapse for it but not gonna share links here in case it hides my comment for spam , i was really struggling with lineart xD
But thanks to this video again for reminding me of another easy way to do lineart , thank you so much i wish you the best!!
Amazing! So happy it helped and that you're enjoying CSP. 🤗
Will watch tomorrow, comment for algorithm :p
Thanks so very much!
That moment when you've been using this program for years and when they added timelapse I never noticed there was a check box to start the timelapse when you make the canvas.
I love your work!! Hmmm how do I recommend this in words....you know your brush sizes you can put them next to your left hand windows and shrink them in so that they are two wide. I have been following you since I started streaming and I absolutely love it keep up the great work Shyfoxx!!! xx
Thank you!! 🤗
@@Shyfoxx you deserve it!! So good and Im afraid im falling in love with your techniques x
@@Sharaak ah thank you! Definitely encouraging!
Cute!:D
Thank you!
Your welcome^^
🤗💕
✨💕
it seems like my brush sizes aren't the same as yours, is there any way to change that? So when your brush size says 0.4 mine just says 4 and so on as an example. I can't find any setting for it
Hi Slyfoxx Art, I am confused, when I add a folder it doesn't automatically add a vector layer and when I do add a vector layer it sits on top of the sketch layer! It is not the same as what I see on your screen when I add a folder, so to speak.
On your screen it shows you have merged the sketch with the background?
This is a problem I have with most tutorials, I am absolutely new to using digital tools for drawing and I get really frustrated because I feel I am missing a step somewhere, sorry
You'll need to drag them to move layers and folders around! They can be rearranged. And yes I never keep the background layer. I just delete it/merge it/ don't use it.
tried for 4hours... had a mental breakdown, and deleted every single layer + file
What was it you were struggling with?
