  • No one wants to come across diseases or pests in their apiary. On this inspection I did!!! It has been wet for a long time in South East Australia and without the opportunity to inspect (too cold) it has let some nasties take hold in this colony. Anyway it's important to me to share with you the good and the bad and not hide from it. Let me know what you think. Cheers

    Just be careful shuffling your brood frames across to a super with no base that you don't loose her through the frames to the grass below - may I suggest that if you prefer to complete your inspections like that then you put the lid on your stand at the base as a precaution... thanks for sharing your inspection - I assure you that WA had no better start to Spring :)

    chalkbrood ??? wat was the outcome of the apairy officer coming or phone call did you use the honey from that hive? Do u use a queen excluder ifu had a queen ?
