Thanks... good overview. They have cleaned up and replanted for many of the trees they lost. You can still see the crushed A/C condensing unit by the bath house in your video. Great Louisiana seafood in the area. The truck vendor (I believe it is Shrimp Man or something similar) at the river bridge just outside the park had great shrimp at reasonable prices last we were there.
They did a good job. Yes, we noticed the crushed AC unit. We didn't venture out much while we were there. The weather was cold and rainy most days and we don't like traffic. 😆 I love seafood though, so I'll keep that in mind. There's also a cemetery right next to the park that I wanted to check out. It's an easy walk to get there. Next time... Happy New Year! 😊👋
Hi Gary & Sharon. Your early follower a Cajun from South Louisiana. I mentioned to you on your previous video about the traffic at the new bridge just before Baton Rouge. Now I know you also got to experience the traffic nightmare on I-12 at Madisonville & Mandeville exits! Two more waiting for accidents to happen nightmares! We drove our RV through there on the 26th on way to Marianna, Fl. To visit our son and his family at Florida Caverns RV Resort for a few days! Nice park but don’t like all the grass sites! A real concern with all the rain this area gets! Safe travels in 2023!
LOL. Right. We do notice the eastern congestion. Whew! We are in Alabama now and just had a nice wade through water to get to our RV. 😆 Good to see water, though, after our months out west! Marianna, Florida is nice! Enjoy your visit. Happy travels in 2023 to you! 😊👋
Those Cajun and native Louisiana names sure are tongue - twisters...lol. I have never camped in Louisiana but it sure looks nice. I wonder how the skeeters are in Summer. Hope you made it home for Christmas. Happy Trails! 🐊
Oh, we are terrible at the names anywhere. We even Google the pronunciations and poof, right our of our heads it goes. 😆 That river name was a tough one. We have enjoyed Louisiana. It is much like Florida, so if that holds true, skeeters are horrible. There is a lot of standing water around here. We aren't back in Florida yet, but we will see family soon. Happy trails! Love the gator emoji! 😊👋
