  • Keystone Resort is located in Summit County, Colorado, just a short, scenic drive from Denver. You will drive pass by the Dillon reservoir in the town of Frisco. Beautiful lake with the mountains in the background. Keystone Resort offers a kids learning area, bunny hill with a carpet lift, and their popular green trail, Schoolmarm, and more green, blue, black trails, all nestled in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. With so much to ski and do here, we can see why this was a busy resort.
    Tucked away in the White River National Forest of the Rocky Mountains, Keystone Resort is the largest ski area in Summit County, Colorado. Spread across three peaks-Dercum Mountain, North Peak and the Outback-the resort boasts more than 3,000 acres of skiable terrain. From gentle groomers, rolling cruisers and steep bumps, to gladed terrain, powder-filled bowls and the award winning A51 Terrain Park, Keystone is the perfect playground for all ability levels from beginners to rippers.
    We used our Epic Pass at Keystone Ski Resort. This was our first time at this particular ski resort and our 3rd time snowboarding and ski biking. I was riding on a newly built TNGNT Ski Bike. Used their frame kit and added my mountain biking parts to it. More about the bike on my next videos. My wife rented her Burton snowboard from Epic Mountain in Colorado Springs. They have a great discount with your Epic Pass.

    So! 2 questions! Can you ride that snow bike at any/all resorts or just a select few? And your gizmo on the bars...is that the same that you run on the bike or different tech? Ok 3...what tech do you run on the bike? I am looking at Garmin 830, I think? BTW: been catching up on the vids...you've been to the places I have been and/or want to.

      Great questions! 1) You can pretty much ride at any major resorts. I used the following website to help reference locations: sno-go.us/pages/locations. I haven’t been through any issues yet. They all haven been excited to see the ski bike. 2) The electronic device you see on my handlebars on my ski bike and mtb are the same. 3) I run a Garmin Edge 830. I highly recommend the 830 and not the 530. I started out with the 530 and it’s a pain to navigate through the menus/maps/graphs. You won’t be disappointed getting the 830. I appreciate the comment. Let me know if you have any additional questions or need more info. Thanks!

      @@DavePFilms Cool, I was looking at the 830. We work in the same general location. I was going to suggest we could meet up at the Tuesday Gyro roach coach to grab lunch...but it wasn't there yesterday...so not sure if they popped smoke and not coming back.

      @@DavePFilms Dude! We have mutual friends! I support the NSSI instructors, so couple of those guys. Best of luck on your new assignment! Too bad we didn't get to link up to ride! Friends and I went to Winter Park yesterday for a 3 hour 'tour' of the sno gos! Was friggin awesome. We are thinking of going back for the advanced tour, as my friends and I picked up how to ride them the first run....but held back to the rest of the pack. But yeah...lots of fun. Looking forward to the new ride day vids!

    It visually seems easy but I'm sure it take some new skills to learn. Looking good Dave on your snow rider !

      @DavePFilms  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Bruce! My opinion, you will pick it up faster than skiing and snowboarding. The most challenging part is learning the braking/stopping concept on the ski bike. It really takes a lot more balance on the ski bike than the mtb. And I think it is almost translating into my mtb skills. I rode Dakota Ridge and Floyd Hill recently and I feel like my riding abilities have improved. Thank you and hope you’re well!

      Awesome you got the Epic pass! It’s worth it! We just got 4” in Brek and Vail. More to come soon! My thought is give all the epic pass resorts a try so you can have the experience and also say you’ve been there, done that. I would like to go back to keystone and try the night riding. Certain days/weeks, they stay open through the evening. I think that would be a unique experience.

    Nice brother! Look at all those kids skipping school on a Monday to go skiing ⛷ and play in the ❄️, Awesome parents 😂 !!
    Keystone is very nice but I hear the bike park used to be good but now it’s pretty bad and not cared for. At least that’s what me of the locals said when we were riding in Breck.
    Looks like that ski bike is getting out to great use. How does your lady like snowboarding? Good stuff brother 👍🏽

    have dun gone down the rabbit hole w/ watching ski bike vids...Now I'm torn between a ski bike like yours....or a sno go. Think I have convinced a buddy to go to Winter Park to take a sno go tour (3 hours) would also like to try your style bike...both look fun.

      @@DavePFilms We did 2, sno go tours. as much as I dislike cold weather....I had a BLAST on the sno gos! Only issue we had w/ the tour was 9advanced) there were some in teh tour that just wasn't 'getting it' and kept us that did, from shredding the mtn. MAYBE.....might get one or look for a used one for the season. haven't tried your style yet.

      I haven’t tried the snogo yet. I’ve heard it’s way easier to maneuver than my bike.
