No thanks. Floyd is risking too much
@@jonathansmith5850 Floyd will just outbox him. No risk at all imo. He's the best for a reason. Who's Logan Paul!? Lost to KSI😂
God no, fk no , he'll no , errrr no . No thanks

@@mrroy8541 ok
If Floyd didn’t do the things he did the fight wouldn’t sell as much.
Yea because he has skills but pillow hands.
@@2bored4lifeEveryone says that until it's you taking his punch to your face.
@@2bored4life Pillow hands who knocked Hatton face first into the turnbuckle. Pillow hands who backed Canelo against the ropes and into the corner and punched his head like it was a bobble doll.
Can't believe floyd is older than ricky. Floyd looks like 30. No alcohol, no drugs, healthy diet and sports make big differences.
Ricky cant help looking like that...he's from Manchester.
Floyd has a bigger ego, under more pressure and has way more to lose that's why he kept himself in shape. Losing isn't an option for Floyd. From the ring to negotiating a fight.
Floyd is also black, and black people usually age slower. There is a reason why some people say ''black don't crack'', thats a very common saying.
@@Liedragon 😂😂😂😂
@@zido2064 Facts, look at Zab Judah as well and he definitely doesn't live the clean life like Floyd does lol
We need a sitdown with Hatton and Floyd. Would be great viewing
floyd wouldn't come on unless he got paid 10 million

Ricky V Floyd was really the beginning of the modern era of boxing. They hype was huge especially for a welterweight fight. Both played their part in helping make boxing what it is today. Thanks for everyting Ricky, you'll always be a legend to us.
the beginning of the modern era of boxing?!?! huh?!?!
Bruh. Smfh
@DeBonAir yeah, modern day? Lol
The beginning of the modern era of boxing as far as I can remember is when I was training my cross combination with my uncle and after that he showed me something awesome in the showers where he inserted this massive thing up my arse and shoved it so deep and wouldn't let go of my arms, so tight.
Ringside was one of the best programs on sky, stupid to get rid of it
Agree 100%. Loved it
@@BigChrisButler from what I remember from listening to podcasts, Ed Robinson thought it was outdated news as it was pre recorded and it’s the “internet age” now. Brilliant show especially the specials like this Ricky Hatton one.

Floyd: I've got 250 around my neck
Ricky: I've got 2 50 bags in me pocket

Hahaha!
I remember watching all the 24/7. I thought Floyd was a clown and not serious but damn I was wrong. He was playing the game for the camera and then behind closed doors he was perfecting his skills and game plan. Hatton never had a chance. Both brilliant boxers but Mayweather was an athlete and Hatton never treated his body with respect and that showed in the fight. Been a Floyd Mayweather fan since that fight.
I think what sealed that fight completely was Hatton's own frustration, with Mayweather twisting to expose the back of his head a lot, and Hatton getting frustrated with the constant warnings from the ref, he never had a chance even if it were equal.
@@corneliusbongle1551 that fight was equal and what showed wasn’t what you stated but what Floyd did which was gave hatton the type of angles in boxing he wasn’t use to seeing and hatton was also getting frustrated that he was throwing punches and barely landing on Floyd.
@Jay Porter It's that shoulder roll, man :D
@@yomommalikethismeat9968 You just said it was equal then proceed to state why it wasn't... lol.
@@corneliusbongle1551 no he didn’t. He stated how more skillfully and technical advanced Floyd was. But the playing field was equal.

Had the pleasure of meeting Ricky Hatton at a charity do once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny.
The way the hitman smiles through the whole 3 or so minutes you can tell even though he went out on his sword it's one if his fondest memories. Still the best to come out of England!
Best to come out of England?
@@snarf2400 in that weight and his style most definitely, he lost to two highly elite fighters he still rocked Mayweather early on, and I've always thought if the fight was in manchester England he would have won if not come very close. He is still ranked the 5th best British fighter ever
@@operationnoillim6910 ah i see, yeah I agree, not knocking Hatton or anything, I love him. Just wondering if u meant overall haha. Deffo deserves mad credit for fighting Floyd and Pacman in their absolute primes. Fearless guy
Hatton never took life outside camps seriously he enjoyed life to much to beat someone like mayweather was just a brawler and good at it
I agree with everything you said other than the last sentence lol 😅
I respected him because at the end of the day he was the best.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I remember how gutted I was when Hatton lost, my fave uk boxer at the time. Legend 👊
I remember feeling the same, and I wasn’t really into boxing.
Yeah he had his fans believing
Ricky’s come a long way. All love. Also, we can hate on Floyd all we want, but it’s damn impossible not to respect the craft in the ring. He put in the work to match his talent.
My favorite uk fighter was froch.
Nothing like hearing any voice on a guy that has done amazing things. From our local area this man has given so much hope and inspiration to so many people.
For someone who never dedicated his entire life to the sport, Hatton was an absolute tank man. Outside of camps he was just a regular joe having a pint. Crazy to think he fought floyd and Pac-Man in their primes and was drinking and possibly smoking in between.
@Brian of KNOCKNASHEEGA which is why the fans love him so much. He’s a typical bloke who goes to the booze after work on a Friday for ‘2 pints’, gets home 12 hours later with a belly full of grog and a nose full of powder. He’s the people’s champion. Just so happens his day job paid far better than most blokes day job
@@jackgower3606 you've just pointed out exactly why Hatton couldn't live with the greats. Georgie best / Mike tyson syndrome. Should have been the best ever but life outside got in the way. Floyd and manny deserve to be considered amongst the all time greats. Ricky doesn't.
@@tonywilliams7152 I agree with you. He enjoyed regular life too much to fully commit to the sport. He had a great run for someone who wasn’t all in though to be fair. You have to think if one day he’ll look back and think ‘if only I committed’ but personally I don’t think he will.
Ricky Hatton was the Flex Wheeler of boxing.
@@jackgower3606 people use drinking as an excuse too much in boxing. He had his shot in his prime twice and didn’t win you don’t have too look for an excuse he was still a good fighter

Floyd also paid the ref not to let Hatton fight on the inside

3:12 -- It's called selling a fight.
Ricky hatton is the only guy to ever make floyd scared and almost knock him out
I mean, to this day there’s other boxers who people claim DID actually score knockdowns on Floyd or was saved from a knock out by the bell
This guy was totally outclassed by mayweather. Period. His style was a brawling drunkard. I don’t consider him Floyd’s best opponent.
I like Ricky but Ricky Hatton stood no chance against Mayweather. I knew he was gonna lose and I didn’t even see any of their previous fights. But I could tell by Ricky’s nature that he was a wild bulldog fighter and Mayweather looked more disciplined. American fighters tend to be better than the British. So based off those bias thoughts I knew he was gonna lose. I was between 10-12yrs old when they fought.
his extra weight just looks bad on him. some dudes look ok with extra fluff but ricky carries it horribly. like 90% of it goes to his face and the other 10% to his gut. :(
He was never that much of a looker in his prime tbf, he looked okay as a teen but his bad lifestyle showed in his facial features.
