For all those poor souls who are suffering stress due to this issue: It's not necessarily cancer if you feel a node along your collarbone. In my case, I worked myself up to almost hysteria over a period of about 3 weeks before consulting the GP, who did blood tests and told me to give it another 3 weeks - as these things can take a while to settle, particularly after an infection. Well, about a week or so later - the lump got smaller and smaller and eventually slipped back to where it should have been. I was amazed really because I didn't expect that to happen. Well did resolve and I think one of the reasons it took so long to resolve was because I had been fiddling and poking it continually! Had I left it along it might have resolve sooner. Anyway, obviously you need to be watchful but don't prod too much as it can aggravate it swelling and take longer to reduce! IF it's still there after 3-4 weeks, see your doctor but be assured, most times it's something other than cancer. It can be autoimmune issues OR just inflammation due to infection. Get advice but don't work yourself into a stew....and good luck to all.

For all scared people, remember that most enlarged lymph nodes (even the supraclavivular ones) are not cancerous! This video talks about the most horrible diseases for an enlarged lymph node. It could be 1000 of other things which are much more likely. If you have an enlarged supraclavicular node, don’t worry and see your doctor just to check up on it. Probably nothing’s wrong :)

Thnx for reminder. I have been coughing & had excess mucus plus post nasal drip for 8 months. Docs kept saying allergies, then vasomotor rhinitis & then silent reflux & of course anxiety. Finally my lft supra was swollen & painful & google told me cancer was in lungs or stomach. Either way I asked for ultrasound plus chest x-ray & they say it’s PNEUMONIA!! I’ve been on antibiotics a week (3 days left) and the node is still painful at times & a bit swollen.
My anxious mind still feels like they missed something but I guess I will just ride this out. If it hurts that’s a good thing….just working overtime to drain the infection right guys?

i got vaccinated (pfizer) on august 23rd and since then the virchow's node has appeared on top of my left collarbone (almost painless) . today, 1 month later, the results of my ultrasound and other exams arrived, it was benign. the node is shrinking in size. don't worry, it's probably a reaction to the vaccine or some other factor, it's not always malignant.

my late father was having a painful small node on the left above clavicle bone towards the end of the clavicle bone, not the collar bone side. The fluid hospital get out from the lump is brown colour and known as hemosurious fluid. the result of the test is "smears show mainly red blood cells with scattered foamy macrophages and inflammatory cells. No obvious heterogenous population of lymphoid cells or epithelial cells seen. No granuloma or malignant cells noted." His GP comment lump would be warm from TB, this is likely secondary spread" Was my father likely having a lung cancer or TB illness? There is no tender or bloat from the abdomen. what is your view on the implication of the swollen node?

I am experiencing this myself “virchow’s” - the only thing that I can think of was that I ate a bunch of shrimp from the gulf of USA and I regret it as that water contains toxins. Also there were storms / hurricanes that destroyed chemical plants near by and shrimp are accumulators. They biopsied my left axial lymph node that was malignant and a met from the primary right apex lung nodule which is not growing and remains at 9mm. I also have a supraclavicular node (1.5 cm), that is adjacent to my brachial plexus bundle and is putting pressure on the median nerve resulting in a aching in my left arm and a burned tingling in my left index finger and thumb. It seems to vary in intensity. Anyway my Oncologist said she could refer me to radiology for an evaluation to maybe shrink it and relieve the pressure. I am worried about the bone or lung getting burned and wonder if maybe a surgeon could take it out with VATS or something? And thank you for your superb video!

I currently have a swollen supraclavicular on the left side (Ultrasound measured it at 7cm, and vascular), actually appeared overnight and painless (and I suspected a lipoma, but USG suggest otherwise), now at three weeks, and suspected Virchow Node swelling (which could also mean GI track abnormality). Note that took the AZ vaccine, about a year ago. Doc says lymph nodes are normal, but right ear impacted with wax.
I've done the usual lymphatic drainage massage, with ginger oils, but no change. I've now embarked on a rigid fasting regiment, with green juice and vegetables.
If no change after 45 days, should I consider a surgical removal, after a biopsy?

So I should worry ?...when I have been losing weight out of no where since 2018 without trying and can’t eat hardly anymore... intense nausea at times... severe pains in abdomen ( mostly above navel that spreads up into chest and upper back to where I have almost blacked out and broke into massive 😓 sweat actually thought I was having a heart attack since for several days and weeks now my left arm also aches bad especially around my elbow and shoulder areas. My left shoulder blade is bad too. Then the other night I accidentally felt the lump in my chest. It is on the left side right under my collarbone near shoulder and it feels like I have a bone there since it is hard like a bone, doesn’t hurt when touched and doesn’t move as if attached inside like a bone. I realized this is odd because it was never there before and not on my right side. Also my father had throat cancer and I asked my uncle if anyone had enlarged lymph nodes ever in same place as myself and I was not expecting to find out that in fact, my father’s cancer was found due to his mass being in the same location. His was also from under the collarbone and went up into his neck and down his middle. The issue for me, is that we have a pandemic happening and because I am malnourished from this mess and no spleen among my other health issues, they have not been able to scan me yet due to risks. So we wait until I guess I’m actually in the process of dying🤷🏻‍♀️idk this whole mess for those of us with other serious issues are basically SOL until this pandemic calms down and it is quite scary. So does it seem like a possibly harmful thing if it's completely painless, but it's also pretty small, soft and moves around when pressed? I've had such a lump above the left clavicle for at least 1-2 months, but I've always assumed it's a harmless swollen lymph node since it hasn't really changed over this time and at times it's hardly noticeable. But of course I stupidly went to google it and now feel a bit concerned since it's right on the spot every site always warns about, above the left clavicle. I've had lots of blood tests done for other reasons recently and they have all been fine. But what also worries me a bit is that I haven't really been "properly" sick in a long time, so it's hard to connect it to an infection either. I've been mildly sick or about to get sick a couple of times though.

I have several nodules on my neck. 4 to be exact. 2 on the right side and 2 very large on the left that are under my collar bone. They are joining making a “huge mass” my Endocrinologist says. Should i be getting my stomach checked out to just in case it’s related to something you mentioned?

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis

      Hey Serena,
Quick question: Are these lymph nodes painful to the touch?
If I were you, and they weren’t painful, I would talk to a hematologist/oncologist.
If your history and physical are suggestive of some abdominal tumor (or a risk of lymphoma), then the next step is to biopsy the mass in your neck. That will tell you if the problem is native to the neck, or if it originated in the abdomen.
      Good luck 🍀
